Ace, really ace. Sweet aesthetic, I really like the title screen. Found it a little challenging on a trackpad to control the moustache so switched to mouse. But yeah, good stuff!
Interesting idea, but as you've stated there isn't a lot to do at the moment. I'd love to see a finished version at some point!
Love it, innovative, well-executed and fun. Aces.
Really entertaining and well-polished. Well done!
Pretty fun, could've done with a little more work on the gameplay as I felt like I was losing because of buggy controls rather than player skill. Sweet effort for 48hrs though, well done!
Really awesome man. Kinda crazy. But awesome.
Awesome game, really fun to play and nicely themed and styled as well. Good job!
Thanks! Made & tested on a Mac... Will re-upload.
Should be working now.
Thanks for all your ace comments. Apologies to any Linux users if the build isn't working, haven't got a machine to test it on so I put all my faith in Unity! Hopefully it was an isolated incident enfyrneaux!
Wow, really nice mechanic and fantastic execution. Well done!
I really, really enjoyed this. Cool idea, great execution. It always baffles me how teams are able to produce so much content over the weekend without crashing and burning! Well done.
Fun game, neat art, ace music. Gameplay was a little tired though, and did you need different buttons for emerging and hiding?
Nice job, solid mechanics and graphics - well done!
Super sweet, but way hard. What the hey!
So good! Flawless execution of an idea, using three well-known games so that no clumsy stage-setting is required. Very well done.
Was going to say the same thing, very Hotline Miami-esque. Cool stuff!
Really liked the presentation, and it was a really slick interface. Oh, and funny as hell :]
Great idea, but while I enjoy discovering mechanics I feel like it could've done with a little more explanation at the beginning. Really fun once you get it though!
This was awesome, I'd love to read about how you made the geometric terrain and sweet fog effects!
Crashes under Mac OSX 10.8.2 with Java 7 :(
Doesn't appear to run in Safari browser.
I enjoyed working out how to make the colours
Wow, very impressed with this entry. I did get a little bored with the clicking around halfway in, shortly before everything went to hell (related? who knows...). But yeah, awesome job!
A really good fun game with great audio and good humour
This is bonafide bananas. Good job on making me question my corporeal existence and stuff.
This game is excellent. It's so therapeutic to play, and well thought out. I left guilty when I ate the last potato and the game was over
One of our favourites for sure.
Very pretty, but I had trouble controlling the little feline. Good job though!
This is freaking awesome! Very cool, frantic, hard - but not frustrating. Great job buddy!
enjoyed the challenge of quickly switching weapon
An interesting concept, I liked how confined the game space was.
Thoroughly engrossing and pleasingly disorientating
Cool game, man. It's hard when you can run backwards! Also my game's source is now live, if you wanted to take a look (https://bitbucket.org/jhrrsn/ld48-26/src)
Really good take on the Mondrian!
I liked the mood a lot, but I found the controls a little unresponsive on the web player (Safari 6) which meant I ran off a few buildings. Great atmosphere though!
A fun game with a cool concept
Good stuff! Like the minimal approach to RPGs. Without any threat of death, however, it became a little bit of a button mashing exercise. Maybe false presses could reset the attack timer, and you lose health gradually over a battle? Something to consider for a future version I hope! Really well done though.
Really clever idea!
I really like the soundtrack, and it's nicely put together as a whole. Good job man!
Couldn't pass the green set of stairs unless i was doing something wrong, either way, incredible idea.
That was freaking cool man, felt very Star Wars dogfighty. Those circles love to clump together though.
This is a great game, really fun, I found the audio quite grating though.
Hitting asteroids to grow bigger is a little non-intuitive, as others have commented. Cool idea though, and well implemented!
Cool! Agree that the desktop ports definitely needed keyboard controls though... Or maybe I just suck?
Haha, very cool Asteroid/Lunar Lander mashup. Good job man!
That was freakin' AWESOME! I was kind of expecting a text adventure, so it was an interesting surprise when minigames started piling on. Very cool idea, and very tough.
Looks awesome, I wish I could play it (Mac).
Cool concept, it is frustrating that there is no easy way to restart but the game mechanic is original and enjoyable
Gameplay is quite sticky. I enjoy the concept and the audio. The 'try again' pits are infuriating though :P
Really enjoyed this new take on the physics of a brickbreaker game but it made the gameplay quite comparatively slow.
Haha, cool idea, and pretty funny. The mob sections are a bit over-long, but other than that it's an entertaining little game!
The constantly changing mechanics were very enjoyable
Sweet art! Kinda boring game. But sweet art!
It's hard to distinguish between the colors which is aggravating
This is my favourite game so far of this Ludum Dare! I really like the way you use the rays to show the level outlines, and its darn pretty when you do. Great job!
Loved the intro text, giving a deep context to such a simple game is a great idea
This is awesome! I love it when a clever mechanic is allowed to shine through a good implementation. Everything is tops, good job.
I like the clean, hyper-minimal graphics - very fitting with the theme. I maybe would have increased the player friction a tad though, the slippy sliding movement was more frustrating than challenging for me! Great job though.
Great audio, the simple music is really nice. Enjoyed the concept and the text made me laugh.
Nice, simple, challenging game. Good job buddy!
Mesmerising sound and vision
Really fun game, I wish the music was longer
I like this, kinda like Starseed Pilgrim mixed with Cave Story. Good job man!
I really like this idea, very cool. I'd love it if the musical phrases were 1:1 with the obstacles, but I know how much of an arse it is to get sound events working perfectly in time! Good job!
I like the use of light/dark, very cool. I'm not a fan of slippy player movement though, and it's frustrating to accidentally run past the exit. But yeah, cool idea!
This game is the bomb! Really love the simple idea and solid execution, the style is awesome.
Really enjoyed the audio
Nice game! I managed to get stuck after a few minutes in though :( Thanks for your comments as well, we may well revisit our game at some point for a v.2 release!
Got stuck on wave four when the slime spawned in a brick, but other than that, good fun!
The death messages are fantastic. The game is very hard but worth the dying purely for the comedy.
Fun game! The thumping soundtrack was great too, good job!
This is awesome! Very pretty and mechanically solid game. Sometimes it felt a little unfair, but that's life in the desert sands I suppose.
Anyone who struggled to move in the game , that's now fixed! Thanks for playing & rating!
This is definitely the weirdest game I've played so far this LD. Congratulations!
Unfortunately my machine just pinwheeled at the first conversation box and none of the input buttons worked. Let me know if you're able to fix that issue!
It was a little slow but you managed to achieve a fair amount in the timeframe. Well done!
Great little runner, I was getting a little bored but then things started getting really hard! Final score was 52900! Good job guys.
Great idea, and well executed. Didn't really need all the debugging information (i.e. FPS) and the graphics could be more interesting, but very solid mechanically. Well done!
Couldn't get this to launch on my mac, unfortunately.
This is an interesting take on the classic Snake game. Perhaps you will spawn a new wave of Snakelike games? Good job pal!
The main soundtrack was ace, and the lighting was good. Nice job!
Hey buddy, I can't open the app on my Mac even with 'allow anywhere'. Let me know if I can help debug. Also, thanks for attempting to play my game - if you fancied giving it another try it's now fixed for Windows :)

This is a really interesting little game. Made me think.
I liked your sprite artwork, and the game certainly felt like a marathon to play!
Great little game, really nice animations.
Cool, moody game. Good use of atmospheric SFX.
Also, thanks for attempting to play my game - if you fancied giving it another try it's now fixed for Windows :)

This game was crazy bananas. I got stuck in the end but it was pretty fun while it lasted.
Great little game, with some fun mechanics. Good job!
Cool idea, I like the mix of genres. As others have said, the difficulty spikes a little at times but overall, good job!
Wasn't quite sure where to start - as mentioned a tutorial may have helped point in the right direction. Also wasn't sure when phases transitioned.
Cool game feel / SFX, and nice simple gameplay!
Some UI elements overlapping on more complex dishes.
Good work!
N.b. - Not able to leave any rating stars for some reason!
Nice simple art style, and core concept is cool! Could do with a basic tutorial splash, but was good fun none the less. Nice work!
Good job with your visuals, especially the little interactions. I found it a bit challenging to figure out what to do next, an in-game manual would've been handy :P
Enjoyed the music and the art. The shifting Ice is a cool touch. Very simplistic gameplay - but quite enjoyed the scenery and the walk! Good job.
Ha, cool idea, wacky controls made it super hard though!
Failed to launch on Safari, got a Unity load error 'Failed to create Unity loader'.
Strange, played loads of other Unity web games over the past few days! Let me know if you figure out what's gone on, looks great!
Haha, nice. I wish you could back away from the hordes of office employees while blasting them with staples, but yeah you did great!
Cool idea, I like the little text prompts before each wave too! I realised about halfway in that you could pretty much just hold 'Up' and escape most of the wave before it materialised, but I stopped that to experience what you'd put together properly! Very challenging & fun.
Really liked the way the BGM build up over the levels, sometimes the procedurally generated maps placed you very close to the exit though! Great job :)
This game is the best! The best I tell you!
So much idea. Very many graphics. Game!
Hey, looks like you were influenced by flOw (love that game!). I think the main issue is that you don't seem to need to avoid anything, reducing that satisfaction of chomping on that enemies you were fleeing from a few minutes ago. What were you hoping to have when you finished the game?
Good job with what you did by the way! The visuals and sound are great.
Hoof! That's a tough game. Wall jumping was a little challenging, as others have said. Good stuff though! Very polished.
That was cool! Well done
Great idea, but I found it frustrating as it seemed pretty random! I'm sure there was method in the madness somewhere. Good job anyway :)
Enjoyable game, good job! Having 4 hearts and but losing them gradually rather than in chunks felt weird, but that's not a huge criticism! Well done.
Great looking game! The visual effects from withdrawal look awesome :)
Great art style, very challenging as the zombies tend to follow the same path behind the survivors!
Good work - some cool ideas here!
Cool music and graphical style. Found it a little difficult to discern the Dragon's hit box. Weather effects were a nice touch. Good work!
The controls were a little fiddly, but definitely a cool idea. Well done!
Lovely artstyle, very chill gameplay. Was a little confused exactly what was going on at first, but I think I figured it out...
Great game! Really enjoyed the cyberpunk style. It wasn't particularly punishing - there was usually a 'best' chat option at every stage - but super fun regardless.
Fun dialogue, sometimes the outcomes of your decisions weren't really clear.
Very solid, great job with the art & sound especially. I got to about 56 kills and died, I'd be interested to see different enemies or something in a post release version!
Great game! A little hard to start out, but once you figure it out it's really interesting and challenging.
I mean, I can count at least 8 screens in that interface, so I'll have to rate you 0/5 for Theme.
Just kidding (ha!). This is ace! Well done on creating such a polished and engaging experience in only 48hrs. I wish there was more of it, which is always a good thing to hear about a LD game!
Hey :) We fixed the bug in our game that stopped you progressing - if you feel like giving it a second look then please do! Thanks for feeding back, my friend with a Windows PC has your game on his list to play! :)
Hey, on my Mac (rMBP 13") the game loads but won't progress past the title screen. I can hear that I'm controlling the character, but nothing is shown on the screen. Please let me know if you manage to fix this, as this game looks great! Cheers.
I gladly played this game to completion, and would have continued playing if you'd made more levels. If you've been rating LD entries, you know how much of a compliment that is! SUPER good effort, innovative & well-executed. Only improvement would be some kickass background music.
This is awesome! I love the little tiger guy - the sprites & animations are top-notch. The slo-mo effect is also super cool. Sadly I wasn't able to play it to completion without a browser crash on the web version (but then you did warn about that!). Let me know if you figure out why that is, or if you release a Mac version :)
Errrm. What the f**k? That was very strange. I'm not sure what just happened to me. Why am I in McDonalds? Why am I eating a cheeseburger? Why am I
Ha, that was a really clever use of the theme. And a cool implementation of your idea! I would have loved some similarly ridiculous music to go along with your winking, but you did a great job even without it.
Cool game! The first time I played it I didn't really get it (it's very easy to survive if you go slow) but then I saw my score! Determined to get onto the leaderboard, I went in again and put in a respectable distance. The controls & vector-style graphics are awesome!
A cool idea, gathering materials for your customers whilst also trying to stockpile for yourself! Well-executed for the most part, but once I realised I could ignore the customers without penalty it all felt a bit less urgent! Some multipliers or equivalent for the matching game would've been interesting too. Good job though!
I love your art style! Looks super good. Well-written, too. The mix of adventure game with action/shooter worked really well. I'd definitely like to see more of that world. Good job!
Wow, the art & UI design in this game is awesome! The idea is great too. It was a little too fast-paced for the tactical elements to really gel for me, but I can tell there's a lot of depth there. Good job!
This was good fun, and pretty difficult! The pathfinding for the wolf was spot on - the absence of sound made it feel a little empty though. Good work overall!
Ha, this is a funny take on something that (thankfully!) most of us don't have to deal with these days. It skews towards frustrating occasionally, but generally you can persevere and get through the levels pretty successfully. Good job!
FYI, I've fixed the bug that stopped you progressing in our game - please give it another shot if you feel like it! Cheers.
A very impressive, complete piece of work for a weekend! Good job!
Hey :) We fixed the bug in our game that stopped you progressing - if you feel like giving it a second look then please do! Thanks for feeding back :)
Ha, that's certainly an unconventional weapon! I hope that Frankie is slightly less explosive than that, else you'll get through a lot of potties!
FYI, we fixed the bug that stopped you progressing in our game. If you feel like giving it a second shot, we'd love to hear what you think!
Humorous, true to the theme, quite buggy though. Got stuck on walls a few times, and floating pools of blood are sort of freaky. Nice SFX / Audio! Good job.
Ha, this is definitely one of the most fun entries I've played so far! The car is hard to control, but this seems intentional and you can kinda figure out how to make it slide around properly. Good job!
Yeah, the game bugged out and the screen went blue on L4. Cool mechanics though, and nicely implemented! Good work!
Impressive sound and graphics, really set a nice tone for the experience. Found myself stood waiting a lot, but a good use of timing puzzle with the sporadic gunshots!
I'm amazed what you were able to achieve over the weekend! Not only is it gorgeous, it's also got that cool terrain destruction element which gives your (short) lives a sense of permanence. Baiting traps to gain access to areas is great - if a little frustrating at times! Good job!
Hey, I was unable to launch the game, I get the error: 'Error: Could not find or load main class food.jar'. Please let me know if you figure out why this is happening!
You hit a bug in our game too that's now been fixed, so if you feel like giving it another look please do! :)
This game is the f*cking BOMB! So good! I love the rhythmic nature of the 'combat', and the presentation around the mechanics is super ace. Good job!
Cool idea, I found the controls a little fiddly at first but soon got the hang of them. Good job!
The environments and lighting are great, and the breakout/platformer hybrid works really well. The jump sound was a little grating, and the character movement was a little floaty (but it's not really about precise control of the character anyway!). I liked the little bits of text too. Good job!
You made a crazy amount of content - well done! Some of the weapons felt a little unwieldy - they were certainly unconventional though! Good job :)
Cool game! I liked the little moon animations especially! It was tough to get your brain around moving the moon and the earth together, but it clicked after a while and I managed to last more than a few seconds! Good job :)
Cool game! Dodging the guards is pretty challenging. I like what you did with the visuals, the retro feel is cool. I feel like maybe some kind of baiting/distraction mechanic might have made it a little deeper!
Super fun, reminds me of playing Dungeon Keeper (with a dash of roguelike!). Have you posted the source anywhere? I'd love to see how you implemented this in Pico-8!
As always (!) this is a super fun, neatly contained idea that has been executed very well. Good job!
It's kind of horrifying how quickly I stopped reading people's stories and started just looking at how much they were going to pay me. Chilling stuff!
Ha, this is such a cool idea! And well executed, too. I'll definitely be hearing that jump noise for the rest of my life though...
Haha, those are some schwifty mushrooms, my man. I love the little tune that plays as you amble round this dream/nightmare world...
Super cool! Great visual design, and very satisfying PvZ-style gameplay! Shame about the performance issues, I'd love to see your Pico-8 source just so I could figure out how you achieved it at all though!
I really like your sprite work & animation! Challenging game, I love that you made it in Pico-8!
A really interesting idea - managing your raging happiness alongside your health! Adds a nice risk/reward aspect to your typical 'raging ogre' simulator.
Super awesome! I'm just getting started with Pico-8 & I'm very impressed with what you were able to produce.
