Pretty fun :)
No time to tarry on the build!

mortl8324 2014-12-08 10:23

Fantastic game. I love it. One thing I dislike is how fast a load of enemies come. I would like to feel like I am building up something good, but it is really disheartening when all my buildings die.

blue-thumbs-gaming 2014-12-08 11:57

Fun game, congrats!

error031 2014-12-09 04:38

Very nice game, mix between shoot em up and strategy types of games. Nicely done!

boracho 2014-12-09 04:41

This one's definitely a time eater! I could see wasting hours in this, even at this state. Love the space invaders/rts mashup! the controls are a bit unresponsive considering the daunting task of the later levels. the pc and baddies have a neat old Tomy hand held feel. I might be coming back to this later for fun.

Tough and fun, good job.

caspila 2014-12-09 04:47

Really liked the minimalist art style. Very nice outcome for 72 hours game jam

cyrixd 2014-12-09 05:02

Pretty cool concept, it'd be neat to see it fleshed out with more building types and upgrades. Had a fun time with it!
Music did a great job of building an eerie, desperate atmosphere, which the game reflected well a few years in once my civilization was crumbling. Nice job.

leondryaso 2014-12-09 06:11

Good game, maybe it's a bit too hard, but you did a good job on the art, I also liked the "cinematic" at the start.

naoistheguardian 2014-12-09 06:13

Chaotic, Got stuck in a wall once, barely survived the round! I really love the concept, it works with the theme well.

jaymfernandes 2014-12-09 06:18

Awesome! Really liked it (though it got pretty hard really quickly!) Music was nice as well

mrexcessive 2014-12-09 09:37

Hi there. Loved the cello... there said it. Right. You made a nice tower defense/kingdom game. Enjoyed this one a lot, bookmarked to show my sons. Liked the aliens as 'other' in black/silhouette Good job!

jhrrsn 2014-12-09 19:05

Cool idea, I like the mix of genres. As others have said, the difficulty spikes a little at times but overall, good job!

thermite 2014-12-09 19:16

Brilliant. I loved the RTS elements, although I built a walled-in community in the middle then got stuck when I respawned ^_^

murchurl 2014-12-10 05:06

Pretty simple overall. The beginning animations are pretty neat. pretty good job! i had some major frame rate drops though

team-myopia 2014-12-10 05:34

Interesting idea but I would have liked to see more tower defense aspects to it since it's very hard to defend your buildings all by yourself. As much as I appreciate live recorded music the cello got on my nerves after not too long.

xerohuang 2014-12-10 05:48

Cool Game! Could be made to be a commercial game!

2014-12-10 12:10

Nicely done, the text intro and the music are awesome !

bobola66 2014-12-10 13:56

its pretty fun and addictive, the first time i played i didn't know i had to build a house on the first round or otherwise i'm doomed :)

themeorch 2014-12-12 22:30

Wow, this is fantastic! A brilliantly creative mash-up of genres that I could see getting super addictive. I really hope you'll continue working on this post-jam. I think this has the potential to be successful on a larger scale. Thanks so much for sharing this!

I really enjoyed trying to build different layouts of bases. Blasting the bad guys seemed a bit easy, but I like how they had different mechanics for how they moved or attacked you. They were definitely smart enough to destroy the buildings and wreck my plans, despite not being the hardest to avoid with the ship itself. I like the theme, and the text messages in how they establish a sort of empty, or desolate vibe. The music is not really my taste, but it was doing the same thing as the text, creating a very eerie, kind of desolate vibe to it. Like you are on a strange planet, where even the wildlife is more abstract and mechanical, and I guess the background color gives the impression of sand. The intro made me think of the start of documentary or a Sundance Film Festival movie, it felt slick and professional, but I wanted to skip it after several times. I am a sucker for wanting to experiment with different building strategies in any game, so I especially enjoyed that aspect of the game, and wanted to start from scratch many times to try out several main building strategies.

Nice mix of shooter with base building. With a bit more depth (more buildings types, new weapons and enemies) this could be something really cool.

canyon 2014-12-19 04:35

My favourite game so far. Excellent visual and game design.

johnbrynte 2014-12-25 00:05

Really innovative combination of genres here! The controls kind of cut me off from the experience, I had to separate the controls from the shooting instead of feeling they where part of the same space ship so to speak. The building part was really nice though and the levels got well balanced with that game mechanic.

foolmoron 2014-12-25 06:48

Really surprising design. When I saw the building stuff I figured I would just plop stuff down wherever, but it turns out I accidentally created a walled city with a bordering road system, because that's what was the most effective for defense and income. The design is very impressive to create order out of chaos like this.

01rafael 2014-12-27 00:06

Nice concept. But I need some more money to build mroe constructions!
