LD26 — Minimalism

Stargazers by Cake&Code 2013-05-01T16:33:00

Beautiful polish and lovely ambient music. I love the theme of stargazing and astronomy at work here. I like that it gets very open ended at the end; I'd end up with completely different looking constellations that still looked cool.

Awesome level of polish and great idea, this was a lot of fun! Nice relaxing music too, this is a great game to unwind with coming home from work.

Awesome idea and executed really well. The sound effects tell enough of a story to carry it, and require you to fill in a lot of blanks, and it made me feel very tense through part of it. Well done!

Love how the speed ramps up in this game.

It's a great concept, I was unclear at my status at first but when I played more carefully avoiding everyone, I began to realize how to progress. Nice bit of game mechanics at work there and it serves the story well.

Great expression of minimalism--the speed, the rotation and spinning between planes feels very visceral because of the simple graphics and smooth camera animation.

I had only been testing in Chrome--it turns out requestAnimationFrame is Chrome only, so I needed a sham to make it work in other browsers--it should be playable now.

I have updated the game with game over text and the ability to restart.

The Silent by TheMrDakotaWood 2013-05-03T07:01:00

The first game was with a 4 room area and then I restarted it and got a much larger world. Was playing with headphones on and I have to admit, I was getting a little freaked out. Great music and mood.

Minimal Blocks! by messiano 2013-05-02T05:13:00

Clever concept doing platforming from this perspective. The disappearing platforms gave me Mega Man flashbacks. The angles you have to run and jump between many of the platforms screams out for analog stick gamepad controls.

Unable to see past the tutorial in Chrome.

Great look and smooth physics! I freaked out when I encountered a black hole! That was a great touch.

PUZZLE CUBE by petrocket 2013-05-01T00:47:00

Interesting concept and great visual style! The lack of camera or ball motion made it a bit disorienting, but this has a great idea behind it--I especially like how the camera tilts away when you reach an edge and gives you a larger view of the cube so you can see what's ahead.

Simplify Your Life by YYYYr 2013-05-01T01:00:00

Existential post modern horror. I feel like I'm trapped in the middle of a dadaist film.

Bitman by Ados200102 2013-05-02T06:03:00

Entertaining puzzler and I love the main character's box head design.
