Very simple, yet very cool, thank you man I enjoyed this!
I wrote the game from scratch in C++ and OpenGL, porting to other platforms is not my strong suit unfortunately :( , I would love if post-ludum I could network with people who could help me ! Next time there will be multiple ports!
Prelucid, what machine are you running on?
Prelucid, strange your machine should be able to handle it, does it show an error log, or can you check your console log? And even better, could you send it to iiechapman@gmail.com. Im surprised that its having trouble on your machine. Ive tested on a bunch of Mac's running 10.7.5
Anyone who visits this and could help me port to linux or windows, let me know!
Cory I appreciate the input tremendously and I am glad you enjoyed my game. The lines where placed to ensure the player can see each rectangle, especially when the timer in the center is of the same color. The "roundedness" of the lines I felt gave them more character which I thought was cool, but at that point it comes down to peoples opinions. BTW I tested the game with the lines "straight" and it felt much the same in the end.The straight lines felt "sterile" to me so thats how I decided to change it. Thank you for you input, thats what this is all about for me!
This is one of the best takes on the Mondrian art, kudos man very fun, when I was playing I felt like if you could make the mouse cursor disappear when you click and hold it would create a stronger link between the player and the control of the world. Otherwise this game is fantastic, thank you!
Strange theme where death aids a girl by killing demon to help gain time. Split screen controlling two characters is a neat idea. Good Work.
Very cute art style , tons of polish! Very well done.
Dude, I love the lighting effects, really cool, would love to see where this could go with some more elements!
Very cool concept. The artwork is great, the enemies I feel aren't as "cool" as the main character. I like the idea of using time reversal to move your goal ahead, those two ideas work together pretty well. I love the idea of having copies of yourself aiding you by shooting, I could see this mechanic being extended if you were to continue with this game idea.
Lighting does hide some of the controls. And is it not obvious that you need to turn the display on to see some feedback. I like the concept and the panel design. Sound is good too. I never beat it. Not stubborn enough.
Very funny idea, way harder than real life
LOXO THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DETECTING THAT!!
bnhw Could you let me know what the crash log looks like?
Im adding a build that disables text, for some odd reason some machines have trouble with SDL rendering text
For those of you who have had it crash on your mac, try the "fixed" version, I believe I got the bug taken care of!
If anyone else has the same windows issue Arcana is having, I can look into potentially bundling the DLL, this is my first attempt at porting it to windows
Yes otresnjak I am working on the release version oops
I have updated the Windows version for release!
keyboardmonkey I have made the source public, if you would like, could you compile for linux? Maybe we could chat how I can set that up. I don't have an extensive experience in Linux Dev
The core logic is handled by cross dependencies , main , sprite , button , the rest is wrapper for cocoa
Thank you flash rocks , I will pack them in to my build !
Tritax, what OS and what error did you receive?
Flashrocks where did you find the needed dlls?
I updated the build, v2 should have the DLLs needed
Light mare , did you play the windows version ? I noticed the same issue on the windows side , there's a precision issue with sdl in windows which I hope to resolve in the future !
Bmhw I fixed the crash , try the new Mac fixed versions it should work !
Very solid entry, excellent use of the theme, great levels. Very well rounded. Love the way the theme plays into the mechanics.
Great reversal of the 10 second idea, build yourself up to 10 seconds, I like it! The graphics and execution are wonderful!
I liked that you could track wasted firepower. Shooting feels good.
Very smart making the player score 4 points before playing the game, it allows the player to learn and prove they can play. Also, future sport, hah great job.
Love the concept of 10 second delay, very unique, I realize I would not be a good fit to do this in real laugh haha!
Real Life*
One of the best executions of the theme so far. The puzzles were pretty tough, walking back and forth and walking back to the beginning could have been made a bit faster/easier. The music is the best and best suited I have heard in LD27. The time reversal mechanic is a pleasure every time even though it means you "failed" the puzzle. Extremely high marks for this game!
Dynamite dan is a cute sprite. The jumping needs to be slowed down, and he shouldn't jump right after landing. You should have it so you have to release space before jumping again. Neat idea though, felt like megaman with a 10 second life bar lol
Dude this was sweeeeet! Great music, pumps you up, this was a blast!
Very sad when you think about it, we will all inevitably face this moment ourselves. A great memento mori.
Graphically this looks so crisp, would love to know what you made it with! I am trying to guess, you have ten seconds to remove the table from the queens gaze?
Love the voxel look! I did not hear any sound, I wonder if there is sound at all? BTW I checked out your voxel LTTP, I LOVE IT!
At first I was wondering what I was looking for , I liked having to figure out what I had to avoid. This is a very interesting concept, I enjoyed the idea. Graphically it set a good tone. The time ticking made it seem depressing lol
Nice twist on the main game, was a little confused as to how it would work. It ended up feeling like a puzzle fighter game, which is neat. The art and music is wonderful!
Very fun game , the difficulty was cool. The balance of the guns is a little off, some guns are nearly useless and some are way too powerful. I love the MOD sound of the music, reminds me of a DOS game pretty cool!
I got to level 30, this game was very fun and very intense. I feel like some trees or boulders were not destroyable? Otherwise I had a blast playing it, it is kind of cool to see how far you can make it!
Pretty tough puzzle game, love the music.
This is a very interesting concept , I just wish the controls were mapped a little differently . Like up arrow to run, tap space to wrestle, and alternate left and right arrow to spin? Overall though it is pretty cool.
Very different, and in your face ,much like the pink color!
This game plays very easily, found it somewhat relaxing getting all of the collectables, the music fits very well. Would be cool to see more game mechanics applied to increase difficulty
These graphics are amazing, love the artwork. The concept is great, the "do something over and over in ten seconds" idea was one I wanted to see well done and you nailed it!
The art style is great, I could see this becoming a webshow easily! I think I'm not very good at the game.
I am having trouble, I think it is not working properly on my end, I would love a gameplay video because this game is very intriguing
Lots of explanation for what you actually do in game, but good job.
The running sprite is cute, the controls felt good. Wish I could play this with someone else
I agree with other people, would love to see this be multiplayer. Fantastic start to a new puzzle game!
Works fine on my machine, bravo for doing all of it yourself!
I wish there was more to do, I love the idea of seeing things from multiple angles. The art style and mood is wonderful, huge potential if core mechanics were added on.
One of the most fun games I have played so far, the music is great! Love the sprites animation ESPECIALLY when they die!
Very interesting method of play, sometimes difficult to tell how it is calculating the trajectory. If I understand correctly, the "mass" of the planet changes how much it "pulls" the trajectory. It would be nice if the color of the trajectory were to change from green which is "small mass" to red which is "high mass" to indicate how much pull the next planet will have. That way you could have a sense of how much your will be altering your trajectory by pressing the button.
Very tough to control, but I love how the physics end up moving around in a mesmerizing way
This was a fun and silly little game, gotta save those kittens!
Simple game where you click the targets before time runs out. Good for 6hrs of work. I like the color change as time runs out. I was surprised by the leader board! Good Job.
I like the attempt at multiplayer. Although no feedback that anything it being sent to server. Neat idea for a card game
Very well polished game. The pixel art is charming. The theme is well executed to switch between the two mini games. Love the little oddities, like the boyfriends mouth and eyes movement. Enjoyed this one!
Amazing art, great play on the theme, extremely hard haha
This game was very addicting, loved the upgrade system, wanted to see how far I could go, the game overall is fairly basic but its super fun! Great music and sound effects too, really wrapped it all together!
Love the look of this one!
The music is fantastic, its humorous and makes up for the sprites all looking like Hulk Hogan. The font needs to be cleaned up , some words are hard to make out. Otherwise really neat idea!
Hey there, I updated my game to fix the problem you were having , try it out !

great idea making the ONE spear not just for killing but also to jump on. seriously good job making this. Solid entry!
@ Code-11, we have resolved all game breaking bugs!
@jdpalmer The updated version captures the mouse, so your mouse won't go flying off the screen in the heat of the moment!
Stay Tuned because we will be releasing a video on how to make your own levels for our game!
@thewhitelama a windows port is coming soon!
@anshul did you try holding right click to move ?
The white lama , I will post a fix tonight !
@TheWhiteLlama , I bundled the appropriate DLL file with the new link, hopefully it will work for you!
@onlyslightly, interesting thats the same error thewhitellama got! I will investigate further
@onlyslightly and @thewhitellama , I found the problem , I need to compile a 64 bit and 32 bit version separately! I will have the fix soon!
Hey guys, any one having trouble starting the game in windows, I have released two versions, a 32 bit and a 64 bit one, for newer computers try the 64 bit version, you should be in luck!
Oh man, what DLL error do you get?
@OrangeeZ I use SDL2, so In order to statically link the MSVC runtime, the only solution looks like Id have to rebuild SDL2 statically linked, and include it with a larger executable. Not sure if there is a more elegant solution?
I updated the apps with all the appropriate DLLs, its really strange that everyone is having so much trouble, I would love to get this game working for everybody!
I really like the look, color pallet is great. Don't see the theme but good job on making a complete game.
I really like the look and feel of this game. I like the jumping animation and the controls feel good. Would love to see more levels! I want to keep playing! ..... yep, kept playing..
Great job on the graphics! Took me a second but then I understood i need to wait till the admiral looks the other way to jump. Was your girlfriend impressed?
I liked the model for the moon, and your right the music does make it kinda relaxing!
Great Job getting a complete game out. Simple but creative.
the title with the guy eating the letters is great. couldnt find a 10th on on level 4. This is a great game.
Hey do you get an error when you try to start it ? And is it on Windows or Mac?
Hey there, wanted to let you know I updated the game to fix the problem you were having!

Creepy music. Good job on all of the art.
This game is crazy. The kind of game where you want more crazy. I like that it is two player.
Great job on a first entry. It is a challenge to release anything complete. you made a good entry. Ideas changing throughout the jam is normal, limited time limits what you can do. Be proud, you made a game!

Pixel graphics are great. The movement is good too. I liked that the first time a played I used the key on to get the coin and not the door to get out! haha, great job!
Very interesting take on the concept however it did not grip me, the text was kind of boring, all i do is sit and read text, then click on someone to execute them, it was hard to determine who was the murderer?
Not much of a total a game but a good tech demo for having a moveable player and rolling balls with some physics.
Kinda buggy, great job on 3d in short time. You only get on accident is a different use of the theme than the other games on here good job!
interesting strategy game. Would be neat take on football, with the draw route mechanic. Dont think i’m seen that before. Nice entry.
Themes not really in there cause you start with 10 vaccines, and can buy more. But, the idea is fun, I quickly got overwhelmed. Good Entry
Great job on a first entry. Simple gameplay but you made a game. Good job!
Pretty interesting concept, love the little round looking characters, very cute, and neat way to utilize the "YOGO" theme. Also BTW, I fixed the issue with the mouse in my game, I put an updated version that resolved game breaking bugs! Thanks for your time!
Getting spy party vibes. Would be cool if expanded with multiplayer and the stalker was a human. Kinda like Assassins Creed multiplayer. Good Job
Wow, nailed the sense of mood. The writing is pretty good too. I like the pixel art. Music is great especially when you shoot and how it blends in. Nice piece. Maybe i missed it, but i hope, if you make more of these moments, there could be a tiny hint of a correct choice.
The classified section s was a nice touch. Very much like cook serve delicious. I think it solid entry. With a little more help teaching us how to make the different foods and deliver them the game would be even better. Good job.
You are a good writer. I’m glad you were able to feature your writing with this theme. Hope to see more.
This is a very unique game, I did not understand it at first but as I sat and waited I thought I was going crazy but then I realized the the world was changing. BTW: I just released the Windows version of my game so you can finally play it!
I love the visual style and the bounciness off the characters animation, I may not be that good at this game but I always get my butt kicked. I like how the key is your weapon, thats a neat twist. BTW I released a windows version of my game so you can finally play it!
Hey ! I updated my link with a new version that bundles in that missing DLL! I would love to know how you like my game!
@thewhitellama Wondering if you could paraphrase the error in english for me?
Hey White Llama, I believe I fixed the error, try it out ! http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-28/?action=preview&uid=14399
I love the idea ! This will make a great party game. I could easily see this in stores as a boxed product, with cards and rules. You've got something really cool here!
BTW: I updated my game to fix the game mechanics, your review helped me realize how important those mechanics were! Try it out if you get the chance!
First dare entry. Not much of a game, not sure where the theme is either. good job getting it finished.
For one person you did well.
Couldn’t see the theme, but a good asteriods-esque game!
Not sure if I’m supposed to destroy the houses or not. The more houses I wrecked the higher the percentage of mad fans. Wheres the theme?
I love the text over the player, for instructions and updates. If the driving controls were better the game would be so much better. Not sure where the theme was. Really good job!
This. is. Awesome. I love the sprite work, and the old gameboy style. It all fits together.
Hey there, just wanted to let you know I added a new link to my game that should work!
http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-28/?action=preview&uid=14399
I love the graphics, the backgrounds are beautiful. The character is sweet looking. I want to be human too. Wonderful entry!
Solid entry. Mouse is a little floaty but the music is great, gameplay is fun. title slide, and game over slide great. Even better if there where more colors, or if they changed while your score went up! Great Job!
Cool concept, I am loving all the local multiplayer love. This would be a great game for the Xbox. The graphics where really charming. I wish the rotation was just a little bit tighter, it felt a little off.
Oh no! I will fix that right now!
Fun little puzzle game, would be worth reworking the art and maybe even adding WASD to move the OGRE, my keyboard does not have a number pad! lol
Really cool use of lighting in this one, the controls were a little bit difficult to handle. The tone of the music fit the theme very well. Great atmosphere created overall!
Very great atmosphere in this one. I loved the minimal graphic style. It reminded me of "Out of the world". Overall a very cool experience!
Very Difficult game, nifty idea to Dig n' Survive!
Could you make a video , I do not own any android devices, I wanna see this in action!
Bringing on the local multiplayer I like it. It would be cool if there a bit more sound going on to keep the action interesting!
Great mood going on here, the atmosphere was really tense. This felt like if you took Hotline Miami and make it scarier and more of an adventure game!
