Cool idea. I had the same problem with the slow controls, and sometimes they inverted when near an object.

Cool idea. I had the same problem with the slow controls, and sometimes they inverted when near an object.
I like this concept. I think limiting the number of moves in edit mode would make it more challenging.
Thanks for the feedback everybody. I was going for a control and physics setup that was at least vaguely rooted in reality. They are kind of mushy because the heavy bucket yanks against your control inputs. Definitely still needs some tweaking. I've had several friends play it now, and its turning out to be a you love it or you hate it type situation.
Thanks everybody.
Haversack: Yes, if the bucket or rope gets up into the rotorblades of the helicopter, that will make you crash.
After rating the game, if you would like to try a post-compo version with easier controls, it is available here: http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/7666226/Bucket%20WebPlayer_0.2/Bucket%20WebPlayer_0.2.html
Fun and challenging. Great idea.
I absolutely love this game.
Really enjoyed this one. And loved the look. Great job.
Took me a second to get the hang of it, since it happens so quickly. Once I got it I had a lot of fun.
Cool idea. Pretty hard, but I had fun with it.
Hilarious. I love everything about this.
I really had fun with this, but it is really hard. Also, is it just me, or is there no way to restart without refreshing the page?
The lighting looks really cool, but for me it made it almost impossible to read the text on the little display.
Really love this one. My favorite so far.
Really enjoyed this. The menu screen looked great as well.
Took me a second to get a hang of the controls, but once I did this was really fun. I got really excited when I killed 3 dudes with one swing.
Fun, but way too easy. Also, I eventually ran in to a bug where one last zombie knocked the wall down, but time was up and I couldn't shoot anymore. Instead of coming through and killing somebody, he just stood there and the wave never ended.
Well done game, but I never found how it related to the theme.
I agree with the others that have said the gameplay is a little on the slow side. Other than that I think this is great.
This was great fun! The small window didn't even bother me, I guess it made me kind of nostalgic for old handheld games or something.
Fun. I couldn't make it very far without easy mode though.
Pretty funny. Well done.
Pretty cool. Loved the art. A little to easy and short though.
You and I had a similar idea. Nice job!
I like the look, but I agree with those who have said it is too fast.
Thanks for the feedback everybody! Suese: if you need to stop, the easiest way is to press B. That sets the brakes, and will stop you very quickly (after the 10 second delay, of course).
Nice job radmars! As far as I know, that is a new record.
Thanks everybody! Larzan, can you give me any more info about the bugs you were experiencing? I'd love to fix them, but I haven't been able to replicate them yet.
Runs ok on windows. How do you collect fuel? I ran out every time before I saw any way to collect more.
Your windows download is missing the gamedata folder.
This was way harder than I thought it would be, but in a good way. Fun little challenge. Nice work.
Really enjoyed this! Cool idea and the difficulty was well balanced.
Mouse was way to sensitive for me. Would definitely benefit from a sensitivity setting.
Nice! For some reason I always love typing games.
Gameplay is a little rough around the edges, but the visual style is very nice!
Really liked the art style, especially compared to what I was expecting after seeing your screenshot.
Well done. Really enjoyed this one.
Very unique and great gameplay. Had a ton of fun with it! Nice work!
This is pretty cool, but I would have liked to see more with the theme.
Very cool and original. Awesome art style.
Really fun. I was confused by the instructions on the start screen, but once the game started it all became clear. Good job!
Thanks for playing everyone! wdebowicz, there is an option to speed up in the upper right corner.
Thanks! Both the orbit and drawn lines are using Unity LineRenderers.
Everything about this game is awesome.
Pretty fun. I would have liked the time limit before clicking to be a little longer. I got 1,180,000 randomly clicking on my first try and wasn't able to beat it.
This was great. I agree with others who said that the controls feel a bit slow or mushy, and I think you need to make it more clear which square you're controlling when they're both on screen. Other than that, very well done!
Cool game, however for some reason my keyboard refused to work unless I made the game fullscreen.
Very cool. A couple of times the enemy planet's orbit was mostly off-screen, but other than that it was a lot of fun.
Love the art style. The blurry trees in the foreground give a great sense of depth.
Fun game, though I always seem to end up with 5 of the same planet.
Awesome art style and a cool idea.
I couldn't get the mac version to run. I always just got a message that the app couldn't be opened. The web player ran fine though.
Also, a couple times when I was close to both a wall and the slime, the camera would start spinning really fast and not stop until I was dead.
Thanks for the idea luker. Had a couple spare minutes, so I added mouse control and adjustable sensitivity.
Thanks Alex, managed to fix that sensitivity slider bug minutes before the submission hour ended.
Pretty cool but steep learning curve. I was bombarded by monsters immediately.
I really enjoyed this. I really liked that you could only shoot at 90 degree angles. Forced you to move to line up your shots. I think being able to move with wsad and shooting with the arrow keys would have been a bit easier, though.
Awesome. One of my favorites so far.
Very cool. Being able to use asdw in addition to the arrow keys would make it a lot easier for those of us playing on laptops.
Pretty cool, but the movement controls are very difficult.
Love it. Reminds me of a game I did for mini LD 43 called Brutal Billy: http://ludumdare.com/compo/minild-43/comment-page-1/?action=preview&uid=21246
Gorgeous effects, but sometimes they're so dense that its very difficult to make out exactly what is happening.
Rutihipee, thanks for pointing out that I omitted the climb/descend buttons from the game page. They are listed in the control page in game. Shift to climb, control to descend.
Hilarious, lovely art and good sound.
Seemed fun, though it ran very slowly on my (admittedly old) machine.
Wow, control scheme was really unique and much more fun than I anticipated. Nice job!
Wow! Where was this game when I was learning to type?! Great idea.
Everytime I play, right after I start moving the screen turns blue and I can't do anything without restarting.
Great job! Very unique take on a rhythm game, and I loved the visual style as well.
Love it. Fits the theme perfectly. I also loved the slow motion animations when doing tricks.
Very unique and fun idea. Well done!
Controls feel a bit floaty to me. Also, the green text for instructions was a bit hard to read on that background.
I'm always really impressed when somebody takes on the challenge of online multiplayer during ludum dare. Good job!
Interesting take on the theme. Nice work!
I played until 85, but stopped because nothing seemed to be changing. Might make it more interesting to make it more challenging as it progresses, maybe by going faster and/or introducing more colors.
Failed to run on my machine (mac). Error just said "The Application LD32 cannot be opened."
Pretty fun, though having unlimited irons made it pretty easy.
Fantastic. Loved the little details, like the mouse sensitivity going down when the apathy bomb exploded. Also, making the user press all the controls before starting is genius.
Crashed chrome loading the web version, but worked fine in firefox.
Cool idea, and well executed.
Very fun. That last second speed burst from the zombies really caught me off guard.
Your web link is not correct. It links to download a zip.
Very fun, and love the unique art style.
This was pretty unique and fun. Good job!
Pretty fun, if a bit difficult. I liked the idea of presenting the instructions as needed on the map as a tutorial.
One of the most fun entries I've played so far. Keeping track of the hunter and bullets, the color I was supposed to hit, and the spikes was a fun and challenging.
Loved it. Extremely fun. My only gripe was I wished I could directly restart after dying rather than click through the leaderboard every time, but that's really nitpicking.
Interesting take on the theme. Good job!
