I'd say that's a few hours well spent. I like what's going on in this piece, I only wish there was more to it.

Although it was hard to move around accurately, I liked the "feel" of the controls. There was a certain... pleasant elasticity.
One of the levels -- it had a green section in the middle, entrance on the left, exit on the right -- seemed to have an invisible bouncing box.
The third room seemed to ramp up the difficulty considerably. I didn't see how I was going to get through the room without running out of fuel. So, that's as far as I went.
Slick interface. I didn't get the impression that I could logic out what color went where (a la Mastermind), and that meant that I was just clicking until I got a happy noise. That's just my personal preference, I guess, that I would rather be rewarded with a puzzle than a picture.
Nice work all around!
I like it. In particular, I appreciate how seamless of an experience this is. It's easy to see your character and the upcoming dangers. It's easy to see the character's status. It's easy to differentiate the buttons. It just... works. Great job. :)
My mouse button is crying
The player can't initiate movement but still moves when the room is white. This means choosing between super-small movements that are completed before the white screen returns, or movement without death is a matter of chance. From the player's perspective, choosing between two undesirable options, with limited reward, is not an interesting choice to make.
thanks everyone!
@sol_hsa: what are your specs? it should have sound. minimal sound, but satisfying bounce sounds nonetheless.
@swizzcheez: as your paddle gets smaller the game slows down intentionally. Was this what you experienced? I've had a report of it running slowly throughout in Opera.
@ThirteenWB: I totally agree about the paddles. I made some last-minute changes that messed a lot of things up, including that. You used to (sort of) be able to control the number of paddles, so it was somewhat strategic; if I could change it, right now, I'd set the maximum number of paddles to 3.
I also really, really wish that I had included the pitch-shifting for audio that I had intended, which I think would have helped people realize that the slowing down was intentional. I doubt that many people will experience *actual* performance issues with this game.
