will upload a 32 bit version tomorrow probably
Took me a second to figure it out but quite engaging once it got going.
We were hoping to make some more interesting rooms with different floors/stairs/bridges that you could jump over but didn't have time. However you can sometimes find a pile of crates big enough to climb up and jump over the wall. Also I got some very strange looks from the rest of the room (and one or two from Morac) when I was recording those sounds...
Lots of fun. The sun setting as the boss pulls up is a nice touch.
I get an exception as soon as I start:
Thanks for playing!
Music stopped.

Kudos for writing it in x86 assembler. I like the way the subroutines are "cute"
Love it! It really distills the action platformer game to its simplest elements.
Simple, but quite enjoyable.
This is a really clever mechanic and a unique take on the platformer game.
Love it! This kind of game would be perfect for playing on a phone while you wait for the bus.
Thanks for all the comments!
After the judging ends I probably keep working on it for a bit. Rather than add a win condition, I'd prefer to have an infinite world and have the challenge continuously ramp up. It also needs a few more things to keep it interesting for just a little longer (though it'll never be a game that can be played for more than a few minutes).
Despite how simple it is, its actually hard to stop playing.
