Creepy graphics! too bad about the performance, but great game!

(from pico-8 forums)
really fun, an impressive UI and implementation. performance got so bad it made it nearly impossible to play as things got hectic... please finish it though, it's really cool!

I got in a situation where all the humans seemed to be spawning in one or two rows for a while and there were enough humans built up in row #2, from different time periods might I add, that I could not make anything last in that row long enough to kill them all. I tried repeatedly making the carapace and saving up to build lots of towers but nothing worked. That's how I lost.

The lag is most noticeable when I'm in the selection menu, which is quite bad.

But hey, it really is impressive what you've done here regardless. I like that you parodied Plants VS. Zombies. Please keep working on the balance and whatnot, it's a neat little game.

I'm not big friend of tower defense games, but I still had fun playing this one.

Was really really easy, then ridiculous difficult at the end. It seemed like all the powerful mobs were came at once, and on the same row. Performance was pretty bad at the end.

With that said, I think it was an impressive LD game, especially for the pico-8. The UI was slick, making the game very easy to pick up.

Really fun! Things got pretty easy in the middle once I had a sizable force, but got really tough once those laser guys showed up. I look forward to a more finished version! The UI was fantastic! I also have to say I love the thought of a war waging over thousands of years between humanity and some huge alien :)

Super cool! Great visual design, and very satisfying PvZ-style gameplay! Shame about the performance issues, I'd love to see your Pico-8 source just so I could figure out how you achieved it at all though!
