Beautiful, clever, helicopter mod was waaay hard for me, but really great overall! Also took a moment of playing around when I got trapped in the pit to realize I could put on the pogo, but I'm guessing that was intentional!

Art and concept is A+++. I really want you to make this concept into a big Metroid kinda game. Stacking abilities is always the most fun thing in those games, and the literalness of this makes it really interesting. Like instead of Morph Ball to go into tunnels being a separate ability, you could just remove your other powerups to be able to fit. The copter mod here is the worst though. The physics are so finnicky and heavy and slow, not nearly as fun as you would expect that ability to be.
Love this entry, the pixel art is crisp and the concept is fantastic. I agree with the previous posters that the helicoptor mod is devilishly difficult, brought back flappy bird memories... Nice polished work, I can see it going places. I'd play a fully fleshed out Metroidvania world with this bot and dozens of crazy mods.
Great entry, very cute visuals. It's too hard for me though, I would need more checkpoint when there is a lot of needles. I also had a hard time figuring out that I had new powers, they just seems to appear in the inventory.
Nice entry, the controls of the helicopter need revision though.
Nice Idea. I don't mind the scope. It's a jam after all.
Same comments as most, amazing game, very clean and fun but helicopter mode did not control like the others...Great Submission! I also suggest you make this a long full feature game.
like the graphics, nice entry, as others mentioned just needs some controls tweaks.
Nice game with cute graphics and on point music. What can you ask in addition of that? As said before, the helicopter controls are a bit off but aside from that it is top notch.
The art is really cute. It doesn't really feel like it fits the theme. The controls are really fussy and using enter to switch to "jumping" mode never feels very intuitive. I feel like i should retain the last mod I was using. Also feels weird in the third level how I get the tank mod but it's not useful for the next puzzle, seems like the obvious choice but it wasn't helpful against the dropping blocks. I really don't like that I had to nail it so closely to jump, platformers need good easy jumping more than anything else. It also looks like the top of those dropping blocks should be a safe space.
was able to beat it! Overall pretty interesting idea, I didn't have to stack mod bot like in the gifs but was able to figure things out. At first I didn't realize I could hold x for the jumping mod (was trying to time when the pogo stick hit the ground). Controls for the helicopter mod felt pretty sensitive but I liked the steady rhythm of button presses to get it flying horizontal. nice job!
Great graphics & music and cool concept. The inventory controls feel pretty clunky though, and I wish there was some tutorial or prompt about equipping items (I was stuck in the pit & thought the game was broken until I scrolled way down to read the controls). Took a bit to figure out the pogo jumping too. Didn't have the patience to beat the spike helicopter bit. Also for some reason this didn't work on firefox (got some error on the console & the game hard locked right after the title screen) but it did work in chrome. Still a neat idea & great vibe, this one definitely has potential. Nice work!
I just played the game, it has good graphics and a nice atmosphere, but the game itself is difficult to understand at a first glance.
Wow, those spike hitboxes are really large. I like the idea of applying more mods on the robot and making it unwieldy, it's a clever risk-vs-reward mechanic. I thought the levels didn't do a very good job of demonstrating why this is such a novel idea, though, at least before the helicopter vs spike level. I may have missed the later levels where one would have to make careful decisions on what they attach, but at the current standpoint, it just feels like a novelty. A tutorial would have been nice. Had to read the descriptions to figure out what to do.
Love the artstyle, and the stacking modules idea is interesting (reminds me of this old game called "Tanktics"). My only realy gripe would be the lack of checkpoints on the last level (especially with the spike hitboxes as is), though I managed to beat it eventually!
A little unwieldy, but still good! Very polished. The 'mod-stacking' idea has potential and I could see it being the basis of a fun puzzle game if you take it any further. As it is, though, fun entry! :) Also, points for the little 1/4 of a tile robot being adorable.
