oof. that was depressing. the ending got me pretty sad...

arzi 2018-12-05 16:40

Really nice! Stylish, the story was touching and the haunting 'sacrifices' were a cherry on the top. Definitely one of my favourites in this LD, a really well executed and unique experience!

judepom 2018-12-05 18:09

Wow, so deep guys !

A really good one! You're definitely one of my favorites too (not fun at all, but you really deserves 5 stars)!

You should really make it more visible than the Ludum dare !

taffaz 2018-12-05 18:10

This was a great game, really nailed the theme and the choices were difficult. I loved the fact it flashed up the result of your choice after you made it.

zsolt 2018-12-05 18:11

Very nice story, nice idea for the game.

dzuvan 2018-12-05 18:15

Very touching! Good job!

matoux42 2018-12-05 18:18

Wow. I'll just listen to happy music ...

It's a really great game. I'm not fan of textual adventures, but I had tears in my eyes at the end of this game, so I think you did a really good job. GG !

Deep choices can me choosen. Im kind of impressed, cause it is by so many people the workday. Good Work!

carbonara 2018-12-05 18:22

Wow, amazing job guys, my tears were rising on the mom part, I have no words, It realy highlight how our student condition can be hard sometimes like when your work and your life are too heavy to carry. You all time have choices to do and you only understand at the end of your studies that you did those choices, because you thought they werent choices. Thanks for making this game, I will call my mom now ahah!

royur 2018-12-05 18:25

like the mood of this game. So any option you choose you would die in the end?

banjoduarte 2018-12-05 18:27

Nice entry. Stylish and good story. Good job

mestrerothld 2018-12-05 18:42

That was amazing. Everyone here spent the weekend doing the Ludum Dare, so it will surely touch some nerves. Presentation and atmosphere was 10/10.

PS: Please post a link to your other works.

eresia 2018-12-05 18:44

Thanks for this game guys.

joramwolters 2018-12-05 19:11

Holy shit this blew me away. So simple to start, didn't really expect much, but really very well executed, well done!

rolle 2018-12-05 19:18

Nice mood in the game, but depressing. Atleast I made the 1st year! I guess other choices would have killed me..? Touching story, a bit short. Music was really nice also. Congrats on a solid entry!

eclahn 2018-12-05 19:57

I love these kinds of experiences. The decaying music hits so hard every time too. Great entry, you hit the theme dead on and you made a great example of why games don't always need "real" graphics.

Small note : I got what I think is a little bug, the text telling me that I didn't have any cash left and was only halfway through the month appeared twice in a row once (telling me I had bought the furnitures first, and then telling me it was better to not have bought them).

kszaku 2018-12-05 21:26

Damn... Well, thanks for all these flashback to my first year at university, I forgot, that I was playing text based game. I felt really touched. It made me sad. It is art. Submit it to one of these streamers, who are playing LD games. More people need to see that. Awesome job!

askania-m 2018-12-05 22:43

Emotionally hard and touching, but the idea is great. Mood overall and subject is very important. I've got so sad in the end. Great job!

firebug 2018-12-07 21:28

This is intense. I tried several different strategies and ended up suffering in several different ways. I love the way your guilt flashes in small words (that grow larger by repeated 'offenses'). Very clever! A gut-twisting experience, but in a good way.

toboggan 2018-12-10 01:02

That was really lovely, thank you <3

mestrerothld 2018-12-10 20:19

After playing lots of other games, came back to say this is the best one I've played this Ludum Dare. Actually made me think about one or other stuff (more than once through the days), in a way few games did. You're amazing. Congrats again.

shieldgenerator7 2018-12-19 19:28

technically simple but the execution was phenomenal. i cried at the end T_T im crying right now as i write this post. this game really struck a chord with me.

critique: the word effects were a big part of thee effect of this game. the way they blurred when you were tired, shook when you were rattled, and jumped when you were on edge. Just phenomenal. And the tiny little self doubts popping up after each decision were the cherry on top.

overall a great interactive experience. one of the best of ldjam 43

acaral 2018-12-21 17:55

I am more and more affected by video games that serve in priority an experience. And your entry is interesting, touching, with a real background. I took a real pleasure. I must congratulate your teamwork because you have found an original idea.

oda 2018-12-25 17:51

Wow! Amazing... And depressing.

Really nicely done!

And I'm already completely burned out after high school, and I still have to go to college, where I have to write a personal statement, and I don't know how...

2021-05-26 13:35

Statiko, hello! I remember that when I came here you had to write a good personal statement. So I can share information with prospective students so they don’t have to waste a lot of days later to find the right information for themselves. For example here you can easily and easily find [personal statement writing service](https://www.fellowshippersonalstatements.com/) , they helped me to do it quickly and without problems. Also inexpensive. So I hope I was able to help someone else.
