The customization system is awesome! it feels completed and well made, the 3D models are great and the music is pretty good. ah.. but for the rest... um, I think you are just run out of time, the battle is not satisfying, the laser cannon don't feel powerful, the spaceship control is kind of flat, don't give the feeling of weight, no fire particle blowing out from the propeller and no collision between spaceships which is pretty sad, any polish can make this game much better! But yeah, at least the customization system is really cool, I love it.
@goldranger You get the point... A control system for individual weapon is planned at first. each will have a limited tilt-yaw, rotate angle so that you can control what exact components (vital connections) you want to attack so you can get more control of what weapons you can get. Thanks for playing and commenting!

Nice game ! This must have taken a lot of work to create those spaceship parts ad this whole customization system ! The idea of the game is interesting. I wish there were ship parts dedicated to movement instead of only weapons. Congrats for this enrty!
I enjoyed your game :D I love the idea of taking parts from other ships to build on your own. One problem I found was parts would get stuck in the ground and I couldn't get them out, but overall a fun experience :D

I see an awesome idea that needs just a little more time to be fully realized. The building was awesome, but throwing me right into it without any idea of how stuff will be used... well, let's just say my first ship ended up backwards! But you've got a really cool concept with a lot of incredibly complex systems working impressively well. Damn fine job for a weekend's work friends.

I'm impressed, this is quite the achievement for 72 hours! The modular ship building system is amazing.
A well crafted experience. this could be a great little mobile game!
One of the best LD games I've played in any LD ever. Shipping building was fun, getting new parts - even better. Some better movement (rolls, turns etc) would add something to this. The controls during battle were all crammed into one part of the keyboard, I have two hands, why not use them, haha :)
@flukeshot Thanks for the good words. Certainly there's a lot to improve honestly. But for the control, I designed that so that your right hand can use mouse to orbit lol.
Very nice 3D models and interesting ship sections! Combat was a bit lackluster but still a very nice entry.

@banjoduarte @hygon Be together!
@shrekshao ha!
I love the building and configuring the modular ship but compared to that the combat is a bit of a let down. This would be a great starting point for a little bit more fully featured game since the systems itself are so cool.

3d models were great. Customization controls took some getting used to. Dissapointed that ramming wasn't a tactic, but found out I could just park myself inside the other ship and take it down safely.

Nice game with a bit of polish could become quite a fun game :)

Really cool game! I love the ship build stuff and how well it worked, especially given it's a jam. My ship was more gun than ship at the end and I loved it.

Build a ship by pressing G (cheating) for fun haha

Great concept, well executed. I'm going to show this game to my kids, and see what they think. I will come back and let you know!

This is really cool fighting lego. I liked the concept of games and graphics, the music is simple, but it is good. The only thing I did not understand what details they do =)

The customization is really nice and the graphics are good, but I didn't really enjoy the battles because they were a bit easy and I think the controls are a bit awkward.
It was fun to rearrange the components so I could put as many of them on there as possible, and the controls during customization were pretty intuitive. The mouse was just a *bit* sensitive :P
With more polish this could be a really good game!
Nice robocraft like game, I see the hard work behind this, nice job guys!
The building side of the game was very tricky to get used to and a lot of trial and error involved in putting parts on and then battling. Great concept though and a lot of work went into this! Good stuff!

In only three days. Wow a solid entry!
This is such a cool game. I love the graphics; spaceships look great and the low-poly terrain is super cool too. I wish the skybox was higher resolution, but oh well.
Unfortunately I had an issue with building that prevented me from finishing the game. Selecting parts with the mouse is super unreliable for me. It takes 10+ clicks to actually pick up a part in order to move it. I have all these cool ideas for ships to build but it's just too frustrating to try to build them :(
Also, I must commend the music. Super groovy and fits the aesthetic of the game well.
I really wanted to like this game and had the tab open for several days before I got a chance try it. I have to say that the experience did not match the expectation. I think that it is a great concept, but the execution was a bit off, possibly due to the time constraints. Selecting the parts was frustrating at best. I had to left-click on most pieces multiple times before I found the "sweet spot" where I could select it. It would have been nice to be able to press Shift with R to rotate in the opposite direction, especially when I missed by one and had to go all the way back around or when the angles did not work out to include exactly what I wanted. (For example, once when I was putting a gun on the side, I could angle slightly up or slightly down, but I wanted straight ahead.)
Having said all of that, I do believe that this is a start to a great game. The customization system was well done with the exception already mentioned. The models were very nice and pleasing to the eye. I also enjoyed the music quite a bit.
@james-dunlap Several of our players report the mouse selecting issue while some others seems to be fine. Turns out it might be machine dependent at some degree. I use Physics.Raycast (Unity) hitting bounding box to do the selection test. Do any of you have any idea for possible reason causing this issue?

Highlight here is the wildly open-ended customization system. Wow, you can really do a lot there! I had fun tinkering around with my ship, trying to have some armor but also leave clear shots for the guns.
The battle mode wasn't like super-exciting and obviously the controls there were limited, but it did serve its purpose as a testing ground for the ideas explored in the build phase.
I had the mouse selection issue, but it was weird. Sometimes it was fine. Sometimes it needed a couple of clicks, and sometimes it was nearly impossible to select a piece unless I rotated the camera five different ways. One wing-shaped piece was REAL nasty to try to select. I also struggled to select just the armor to unsnap off a chasis, instead of the chasis itself.
So if you were selling this as a $300 modeling program, I would have some issues. But for a jam entry customization system, actually it is very impressive.
I have a couple of ideas, if a raycast is not working for you, but I don't know for sure:
1. Spherecast instead of raycast, to hit with more margin for error. 2. Cast every frame when there is no selected object, and highlight with a glow the object i WOULD select if I clicked. Then I can learn the quirks of the system more easily. 3. Use some fancy math to select the object whos bounding box comes closest to the line. That is: I can never miss when I click, because I ALWAYS get the nearest object to the ray of my click.
Just a few ideas, but I do think if you're having a lot of complaints, this might be something worth experimenting around with to find a better answer.
Really well done with this editor, very cool tech. I had fun tinkering, thanks!
@pkenney Thanks for the valuable suggestions. The wing object as you've mentioned, has a smaller bounding box yet no visual aid thus result in clumsy hit test. And I will certainly try spherecast instead. Thanks again for the feedback

played for a while! Building ships was a bit clunky (hard to tell what pivot you selected and place it correctly), but manageable. It was fun slowly building up your spaceship - it'll be cool if getting certain parts affected your speed or rate of firing or so. I liked the music and the nice models for the spaceship components!
