Wow, what a desolate thing this is. Very well done, interesting, with a nice discovery mechanic and great art. Very clever take on the theme.

Wow, what a desolate thing this is. Very well done, interesting, with a nice discovery mechanic and great art. Very clever take on the theme.
Pretty good twist on the theme unstable.
Simple mechanics but good work on the mood!
I love the mood of this game so much. I've known many people who struggled with alcoholism and this was an interesting window.
good game, connected with important theme. a suitable atmosphere (special emphasis on the music!!!), beautiful melancholic art and comfortable gameplay. thanks for your efforts
Very cool story and art! I think the mood its the best part of the game.
An elegantly presented thought in a small but atmospheric story. I'll go drink to the success of this beautiful game
Really really awesome execution! I loved the non-textual dialog, especially the puzzle pieces. The sound design was exceptional too
Of course I don't drink, but the condition that was described in the game touched me. There is something familiar about this for me. Feelings were understandable without words. I think that the game is worthy of attention. Good luck guys.
Nice visual style and story
Super nice visuals, clear story. I loved the text-less communication. Rough story though, and unclear ending (probably on purpose)
Great game! I loved the atmosphere and mood, amazing work.
This game looks like Florence to me in a good way, good work :)
@ccglp Thanks! Yes, we love this game and were inspired by it as well.
Wow! Really moody game, I can't believe you managed to make all this stuff in such a short period of time!
The storytelling methods are great. I just hope it was a bit longer.
This is very cool. As a narrative game without much in the way of gameplay *and* no dialogue, it really needs to rely on visuals and audio, but the visuals and audio are really up to the task. I was impressed by the audio in particular, but then again that's the aspect of game design that I'm the worst at and have the least experience with, so maybe I'm just easily impressed. I also like how several activities are represented in a sort of abstract but clearly understandable way.
Overall, the game definitely achieves its intended emotional effect.
That was heavy. Maybe would like to see some more 'game' like mechanics thrown in earlier to break up the story. Definitely a unique experience. Well done.
HOW DOES THIS GAME ONLY HAVE 16 RATINGS! This game is AMAZING. The storytelling is amazing, it almost made me cry. 10/10 please make a full release!
Simply spectacular. That very kind of "unstable" I personally was hoping for, delivered responsibly and tastefully. Beautiful work that will stay for you longer than most.
Nicely done. Pretty accurate demonstration of how alcohol just makes you sad
Very touching game, it game me a strong sense of anguish to think how many lives are affected by this habit. Touching, sensible, nice concept and graphics.
Nicely done game, it is also a good fit for jam theme. I am amazed for the take on story telling on this one, good job.
The sound design really sells the events of the story where the animation is lacking.
I did not enjoy having no choice other than to drink, as I do not enjoy drinking hard liquor in real life. I realize that the repetition is part of the realism of the narrative but I got bored of doing everything 3 times.
The visual and symbolic metaphors are an interesting proxy for conveying the experience of someone under the influence. Very creative.
Wow, this made me very emotional... Everything is beautiful, art, story, music. It could be nice if you put the credits on this page too. Was he drinking alka seltzer in the morning? :D
Perfectly conveys history through simple actions. Very cool immersion and narrative, it would be cool to see more of that. Awesome!
As someone who (like many) struggles with addiction(s), I think this game provides a valuable perspective on (though ultimately nothing people don't already know, but alcohol (and "addiction" in general) is INSIDIOUS, and this game captures that feeling in a coherent, beautiful way.
Great mood, visuals, sound, basically everything. I just wish it had been longer, and that's a good thing. Incidentally, it was the reveal of the "kid's drawing" where the art hit me the hardest.
Wow, Wht a Game you made in just three days. I love the Artstyle and sound. I would have loved to have the option to not drink thoug. In some scenes I did not know what I had to do, for example with the speech bubbles (What I did felt utterly wrong). But Overall a great Game. Very good in the Mood section, not so much in the humour section :D. I loved the ending.
the drawings were nice, but the gameplay could be a little bit smoother. Nice entry, especially in terms of the story
It's just a movie. There is no game.
The atmosphere and sound were great. The gameplay was linear, which I guess is fine for this genre. The sigh was a bit repetitive but the rest of the audio was great.
That end music was so gentle. Hit me harder than I wanted it to. Going to be honest, seeing the picture of the kid sitting on the ground really hurt me.
good atmospheric game, but on the stage with a man and a puzzle I got stuck, it was not clear what to do, so I hung on this stage for about 5 minutes and closed the game. Guys did their best, you can see it, but you need a native hint for the users in case of dead-end situations, otherwise your game will not be played at the first difficulties
beautiful art and quite sad story =(
Awesome entry!
A really well put story about alcoholism! The atmosphere build up was very well done and pulled you straight into the story!
Хорошая игра,понравилось интуитивно понятное управление, короткий но заставляющий задуматься сюжет.
Great work, beautiful and atmospheric art.The plot is short, but deeply meaningful.)) I really liked the idea with the picture at the end.
Very powerful game, and great graphics, very impressed
Wow! Atmoshere of depression... Deep, stylish and interactive. I like it!
This is really impressive and a powerful message. A great way to implement the theme "unstable". Love it!
Nice entry! Really liked the narrative and art. Well done =D
I liked the mood and atmosphere. Not sure if it was intended or not, but I really dug deep into that bottle at one point and I could swear it was bottomless
That sultry saxophone had me immediately intersted, the audio in general was really nice. So much beautiful art in this too, a very impressive entry indeed! It's fun to see what a larger team can manage at a jam!
Sobering... Makes me glad I gave up the demon drink, a number of years ago. I like the minimal sound, and thought the stains on the table was a nice visual touch. I got stuck on the speech bubbles, when the green one refused to act? But it was probably a good thing I missed the ending.
Depressive but interesting. There are interesting solutions. I especially liked the stage with the computer.
Very intelligent game ! Everything is neat : graphic design, sound design, storytelling... I love the way you use the theme unstable showing the mechanisms of addition. It's very easy to understand what to do, except for the part with the bubbles.
The game's story, art and sounds are very well done!
Amazing game, I love the puzzle design. Art work is really good, as well as the sound effects and the music. Overall extremely impressive!
This mood...
Loved the atmosphere, great work!
Simply brilliantly told! It doesn't seem to render perfectly on ultrawide, but other than that it ran without issue.
very well carries the sad mood
As I usually see gamey and humorous submissions on LD, this is a pleasant surprise. Especially in the quality of the game. Very well fitting the theme, setting the atmosphere just right and conveying a powerful story is quite a challenge, but you seem to overcome it very easily.
The music was very well made, helping to guide the player through the story. Just perfect.
The visuals were very strong. I would perhaps go even further and disable colors on all the stuff he owns, only show colors on the happy memories he has, but I understand this would bring many more challenges to development. My point is that if the alcohol and the bar seems colorful and happy, why wouldn't the average Joe sit there every night? But perhaps this is exactly what you wanted for this game to say to the world. Maybe to raise awareness?
I'd love to see more of this interactive story. Perhaps a prequel...?
The atmosphere/mood, the story telling, the visuals, the audio, it's amazing.
Amazing game for a jam, you guys should be proud of yourselfs
Great mood and storytelling
This game sets such a great mood. Loved how easy it was to pick up and play through this moving story. Awesome work!
really interesting and moving take on the topic! Really loved all the art style and storytelling, congrats to the team for such a great experience :)
Really intense Story!
This is really well made! You should all be proud of the quality of the product you made, and also the message you're conveying.
I noticed that the cursor actually switches back to my default system cursor when hovering over an object. If I may make a suggestion, I think reversing the cursors would have been an improvement. Default cursor when exploring the picture, and then a new sprite when over a clickable object. Either that, or somehow make the clickable objects stand out in the pictures so players know how to proceed.
It... looks... good, but I don't know exatcly what I'm doing (apart of drinking), I'm just clicking everywhere to progress.
This is an incredibly well put together game. I loved the mood and the ability to convey story with just how things on the screen moved sometimes. So well done.
Wow...this was haunting but also an excellent representation of what it's like to fight addiction. I'm not usually big on interactive stories but this was moving and very well done. Excellent artwork and I thought the mechanics did a good job explaining a real world phenomenon, like difficulty concentrating. Great job and a very meaningful take on the theme.
A lot has already been said, but great attention to detail to convey everything you were trying to get across. One constructive piece of feedback is that I assumed for the first while that the more stylized cursor was to indicate interactable objects but it was the other way around, which was slightly confusing. Fantastic job! Oh, and thank you for commenting on my game, appreciate it! :D
Great game. One thing I noticed was that interactions felt a little unresponsive at times. Other than that, I have no complaints. Good work on the mood and theme of this!
I loved how you used a tangram-like mechanic in a complete unimagined way that fit nice on the theme. The art is incredible for a jam game. Good work guys
This is a really nice and lovely experience. The story is told wonderfully through no dialogue, and it hits really well. It is one of the more unique interpretations of the theme. The art and music were lovely, and the gameplay mechanics were designed in a way that helped convey the story. The controls did feel somewhat finicky at times, like they weren't properly responding to what I was clicking on, but that doesn't hurt the overall experience. This is definitely one of the highlights of the jam.
Eh, it's not my format at all for these games, alas. But! The game has passed, I can say for sure what kind of graphics and narrative I liked!
Good visual story and the right message
Nice entry! The visuals are great I think the interaction just needs a bit more feedback so you know when actions complete. I love the wordless communication too. I think this could be explored further!
amazing work, excels in all categories.
The most feels I've had from an entry so far! The art, audio and game play combined set the mood perfectly for this emotional story. Good job :)
Good art, nice work !
Nice game! The art is great and just sometimes when I click, the feedback comes a little late.
The atmosphere in the game is great, and the soundscape works together with the graphics. It's a graphic novel of sorts, so there is not much player interaction, but some of the interactions might not need to be repeated. I imagine the repetition is there to conjure a feeling of stagnation, an unescapable loop. But the overall pacing is already slow and gives the feeling of stillness, so I think the repeated tasks might not give additional value. Still, good work!
Good idea and nice implementation of the theme. Its fun and is a good history, but i need to say something is the input that comes a little late, and needs a little more visual feedback when objects are clicked.
incredible work! This game creates an atmosphere that is just astounding and then tells a story without really using words. Just WOW! Keep up the good work!
A very interesting game with a very relevant topic!
Great work! I really enjoyed the sound design and foley! really dark but fits the theme well!
Damn, this is just pure art. Beautiful, and really sad. Honestly this is just amazing, well done!
Also, this might seem like a dumb thing to comment on, but your itch.io page just looks so great! ready sets the mood for the game
What an amazing work with the mood of this game! You told a lot with no words. The soundtrack and style reminded me a bit of Grim Fandango, though the theme touched here was way more intense! Thanks for your submission!
Also, I finished after the second day, I was a bit surprised that the game was finished and curious who was behind the door. Great start for a sequel ;P
Wow this was really amazing, really hit me, the atmosphere had me so invested, really impressive
Good use of the theme, especially for such a heavy topic. Great art and music as well!
Nice interpretation of the theme, thumbs up for choosing a rather hard topic to work with
Sad and eye opening use of the theme. Simple gameplay but engaging story. Good entry!
Very well handled for such a heavy subject matter. The scenes where you had to focus on the screen and objects was a perfect representation of the hangover haziness. I'm really impressed how the combination of art and sound design can convey the feeling of many scenes without any motion, great work!
Nearly all the goals are about coping and every success is met with the sigh of a depressed man and that contributes a good deal to the mood of the game. I liked the game but even with the aim I wish that there was a little more gameplay and context to the narrative just because I felt like I needed to know more about the story in order to fully enjoy it. Solid game though.
Fantastic narrative experience. I loved how you managed to cram so many point-and-click experiences into the game, and how those mesh together to support your narrative. Kudos also for the graphics and the audio.
Strengths : - Gripping narrative, in sync with the theme - A lot of variety in the mini games, and all of theme support the narrative - Gorgeous audio and visuals
Possible improvements : - Some latency between clicks and feedback make the start a bit confusing (drining time, …).
Great game !
Good implementation and concept! Not a bad atmosphere, I liked the graphics and music. Keep up the good work! Good job, guys
The art and the tone of the storytelling really stood out. Very short, but high quality for the duration.
Love it! Whether it is the graphics or the concept. Great job!
Love this game, nice work!
A very organic implementation of the mechanics, well combined with the story and narration. Very good, thanks for game!
The theme was handled with sensitivity and respect, amazing job. Reminded me of Florence.
Love how you interpreted the theme. I especially liked how you handled the conversation at work. 5/5 for mood for sure!
Dam, it was really intense =/ I love P&C games, and you guys were able to tell a great story.
active zones are not always clear. there is little feedback. I clicked by a lot and often. a banal story of parting.
A deep game.
The look is just fantastic, you feel inserted into the game every moment in every scene. It really is a work of art.
Sound is perfect. Music and sound effects are of very good quality. The sound goes well with the graphics, and helps keep the game's incredible mood.
The gameplay is simple, but fully functional with the game's proposal. It helps to tell a story even without "many visible letters".
If you will allow me to suggest, perhaps the points of interaction could have some kind of prominence. I know this would perhaps "facilitate" a game that is purposefully easy. But maybe it could be that this improves even more the fantastic experience of the game.
Anyway, the interpretation of the theme was excellent. Generally I'm not a big fan of "interactive story" style games, but the game you guys made managed to please me because of the factors I described earlier.
Congratulations. Good job!
I want to note that this time your music is perfectly matched and gives an atmosphere. A little not trivial moment, where it was necessary to throw thoughts in different geometric shapes on top of each other. A good game, however, as always!
Very good caption of atmosphere and mood for the depressing topic this game is about. The story-telling is very well executed - I especially liked the conversation with the speech bubbles, where your opposite fills in the puzzle pieces perfectly, but your own dialogues cannot even fit in the first place. Cool metaphors like these show that a lot of creative thinking went into the game.
Wow what a great execution of the theme. This tone of game does not look easy to pull off. Great work!
Интересная история и при этом отчасти, простые механики взаимодействия. Великолепный визуал и звуковое сопровождение
The pencil art is very well done and polished. Good entry!
The artwork is mesmerizing. I had some ideas earlier it is never a story to tell. The struggle of the other side. In games it could be a great story, in my opinion. Hard for those, who struggled themself or some of their relatives, but it is an important topic I guess! Great work!
Color me impressed! Really great job with the sound design and the art! It really compliments the mood and atmosphere of the game! Very impressive and very polished! What a brilliant entry :D
Thank you for your game :) I just haven't got some stuff like the puzzle conversation, or some situation. On contrary, I like some concepts like the computer which were duplicated, the phone messages. The drawing and sounds are good!! Just a suggestion, but I think it was a lack of time, some animations would be nice to feel some feedback on what you click.
What an artwork! Fits the finnish mood since it's getting cold and dark here! :D
Woah, the audio was incredibly crisp. It set a whole new bar for audio in game jam games. I'm curious about the mic and audio editor you guys used. Very powerful stuff too, story and visuals wise. Thank you for sharing!
Fascinating and uncomfortable in all the right ways, you picked a dicey subject and treated it with care and grace, wonderful work! I really liked the artwork, but he lack of visual feedback and choppiness as it switched from place to place made me think that something wasn't working right--thankfully, the audio came in to help save the day on that front, excellent work on that front! A very fine jam entry indeed, happy I took the time to play it.
The mechanics felt very representative and narrative themselves during each moment. I have known a lot about this topic from a different perspective in my personal life and have to say this is a spot on representation and it is a very challenging subject for me. I think you approached the topic in a very thoughtful manner and I appreciate every moment I spent playing this game. The audio and graphics were fantastic and it was well built. Great job!
@angela-he Thank you for such warm feedback! We know and love your games. Our sound engineer uses akg p120 microphone and FL studio sound editor, but will soon switch to ableton live
Really well implemented game with a heavy mood. Can't say I enjoyed playing it but did appreciate the theme.
Wow, this is a really well done experience! The beginning got me hooked, I love how there’s no wall-of-text tutorial but by clicking around I managed to get the jist of it real quickly, great design, and as the game progressed I have to say the storytelling method is superb. At first the multiple computers, I thought it was glitch with the game, but then I realized it’s because he was seeing multiple computers and had to focus, that feeling of getting it without any verbal explanation is executed very well. Another instance of this I liked is with the therapist, how he explains how to put the words together but the only options you seemingly have are to put two incompatible things together. I have to reitirate that the storytelling is very well executed, it’s quite a feat to understand a story with literally zero text explaining [minus the title’s screen “Everything is fine-bar”, :p], great work!
The art is cool too, pretty well done, emulates the sad feeling fairly well.
It is a bit unfortunate how we didn’t get to see who was at the door at the end, though I suppose not all things can be answered, ey? Anywho really the only main “complaint” I’d have, is that there’s no gameplay initiave, if this was a longer game if you didn’t absolutely get hooked on the story there’s no reason to keep playing. Maybe this doesn’t really need fixing, but if you are going to make a full game I think more fun/engaging gameplay elements [difficulter puzzles, perhaps reflex-based puzzles too], which still contribute to the story, would greatly improve the experience and keep the player more engaged.
Anyway blabbing aside all in all a solid game with a great storytelling approach, solid art, but gameplay mechanics that perhaps are in need of improving, making the gameplay as well as the story engaging. Great job!
