this game was pretty good, I liked the concept and it was really fun!

mistagiggles 2021-10-04 22:44

Enjoyed playing, though I struggled with keyboard controls as I too often applied too much thrust. Love idea of building the machine and then flying it. Would have been nice to be able to rotate camera while playing (unless I missed something?)

sprunth 2021-10-04 22:51

Very cool toy! The controls were hard but maybe that's part of the fun

fickle-swimming 2021-10-04 22:52

I loved the concept. I apprieciated the tutorial! Also, very ambitious game for a 72 hour gamejam! Well done :)

matt-rice 2021-10-04 22:54

Couldn't figure out how to get the thing off the ground. The UI ended up appearing on top of itself, which prevented me from clicking important buttons

rzfmzn 2021-10-04 22:55

took me a while to get the hang of it, but I was able to complete a single mission hahahah tnx for making me lose half my class :P

slimmerburger 2021-10-04 22:55

It's a lot like the systems in either beseige or banjo and kazooie nuts & bolts, really impressive that you managed to make it in a weekend!

mausimus 2021-10-04 23:01

Great concept and a lot of fun, a mini KSP. I do miss more freedom in design (choose thrust direction, rotate parts etc.) but it was still great fun figuring out the designs. Kudos for not requiring a clean landing! BTW web version was a little bugged for me as the part/hotkey hovering icons don't align with mouse when dragging, but still works.

taffaz 2021-10-04 23:03

Controls were super difficult but enjoyed coming up with contraptions to try and fly.

kyboon 2021-10-04 23:09

I can't believe I've already spent almost an hour on this game (and it's so difficult). This reminds me of the game Besiege. Btw some music and a little bit of sfx would be make the game much better.

Edit: I just noticed that in the description you mentioned you can rotate parts by [R]. That'll make the game less difficult (still quite hard tho).

fizzget 2021-10-04 23:09

I managed to build and sufficiently balance a contraption to complete a mission directly ahead of me, turning may be beyond my capabilities! This was a rewarding challenge especially for such a short development time. Nice work!

ukulelefury 2021-10-04 23:17

:) Wow, very fun! I love the mechanic! The UI is a bit confusing--for example, I kept trying to drag letters onto the thrusters themselves. And the actual flying was very challenging--even when I had the thrusters all set up correctly! But very fun. Nice idea!

datadazer 2021-10-04 23:31

This game looks very technical to build. This was very well done. The building was intuitive and I liked having a tutorial. It took me a bit to figure out how to setup the thruster controls, but once I did it was addicting delicately balancing my thrusters with my weight. Made me feel like a genius when I finally built something I could fly reliably! Just like when I play games like kerbal space program or scrap mechanic. I loved it!

chesiq 2021-10-05 12:05

That's a really interesting concept! I wish the thrusters would autoset themselves in terms of controls(since you already know the center of mass) and be relative to the center.. But then it would be easier to play. I've tried 6 concepts or so and gave up after failing each time to even take of properly.

its-f4llen 2021-10-05 16:00

Incredible game, i Loved it, all you need is being able to build like 1 pice frames.

pixelydian 2021-10-05 22:40

I was way too excited when I got my poorly designed contraption to successfully land on the target. Then my husband saw me playing, asked to try and wouldn't give me back my computer for like 30 minutes lol. Rockets could have had a little more power, but really neat concept and really fun. You could definitely expand this into a full fledge game. Awesome job!

ttu-hasan 2021-10-08 12:18

very interesting and unique game.

piper-thompson 2021-10-10 22:14

WOW - what an amazing entry, would never have thought someone can pull of something like that in a gamjam! Super finnicky, but i managed to clear the first mission. Must be an absolute nightmare balancing some game like this, but it'd be worth the work, i think! Just spent an hour in your game and loved it! Would consider buying something like this, if you'd get it to market some day!! Amazed! full scores!!

bjornstahl 2021-10-10 23:17

@piper-thompson Thanks a bunch, I am amazed myself how much I managed. From all the awesome feedback I've gotten here I'm thinking of continuing development.

erikkire 2021-10-11 18:41

Wow! An entire vehicle builder and physics game. I am impressed!

willoxs 2021-10-12 10:44

I love the kerbal like idea! Yes please go for a full game. The idea of assigning keys to the single engines is so good. With ui improvements and more things to build i can really see this as a full game

c64cosmin 2021-10-16 14:13

Wow this was so ambitious, what a great entry! Really had fun designing the hover crafts, reminds me of Garry's Mod a lot.

eoshadows 2021-10-17 02:15

Good game! The experience of building your own aircraft was fun and allowed me to use some creativity in the game, which was a neat idea. The graphics were good and the concept was a really neat response to the theme. Unfortunately though I could only complete one mission as I couldn't figure out how to get to my second mission. I thought that I was brought near the platform I was supposed to land on, spent a long time developing something to get to it, and then found that nothing happened when I reached it and that I only gained a greater distance from my target. After that I just couldn't see how I could do anything differently to get to a different platform. Nevertheless I thought this was a really good game. Well done!

bjornstahl 2021-10-21 23:06

Big thanks to everyone who left feedback and rated this game.

I really enjoyed working on it and a few seemed to like the idea of a continuation of the game @pixelydian @kyboon @datadazer @its-f4llen @willoxs

I have worked on an update during the rating period which is now live on itch. If you are interested in seeing further development of this game make sure to follow me on Itch, I'll be writing development updates there and upload new versions as often as possible.
