Cool concept of changing between all the different scenes! I found the two BOSS KILLER scenes, but got lost trying to find the third one. Is there a trick/pattern to it? Great work!

<3 <3 <3 such a awesome concept! great work! I felt like a real hacker =p
I've always wondered what Dickbutt sounds like when he walks... now I know! Cool take on the theme!. However, there were times when walking to the right that the entire window would go offscreen and i couldn't figure out how to go any further. Is the game supposed to start off-screen at the very top left of my monitor? Great work in any case!
Charming little adventure! It left me wanting more. I suppose my only suggestion is to make the clouds a bit more obvious that you can jump on them (Since I'm an average gamer and I don't read directions, haha) Great work!
great work! I'm going to try to get my wife to play with me since it's tough to play alone =p
My highscore: 146. No where near 1292 =p Lots of fun, though!
Just a note that it took 3 minutes to download the web version on a 100Mbit connection. I'd also make the hero not be able to push around creeps, since they can really be used for meat shield for your hero. In any case, great work despite the hard drive failure! That takes some determination to pull through like that!
Nice work! The whistling made me think there was someone outside of my window though. =p
All the bullets! =p
Nice game! Could have used more enemies to shoot with all the bullets though. pew pew!
I had some trouble figuring out what to do in the beginning. It looked like I started getting more wood whenever the fire stream hit a house that I placed, so i started doing that. Came back to to actually read the game description and found that that is the overall goal. Good work and grats on a cool game!
I'm really digging the concept! I have to admit at first I was just thinking "meh" that it was only a collect-stuff-avoid-other-stuff game, but when you switched up the controls I actually fell in love a little. <3 Great work on a really fun game!
Alas, I am just an average snowman builder.
Fun game. I really liked the detail of the snow sounds when I'm colliding with the ground. Good job!!
Tough, but worth it! Great work on this entry!!
Fun! Took a while for me to get the reflect mechanic down, but other than that, no complaints! good work!
Nice simple game that has a very addicting appeal to it! Nice job!!
Fun! Pretty much how I imagine my first trip to space to be like.
I really like the added touch of the rockets turning red when you thrust. Nice job!
Love the concept and execution! Tutorializing the levels was perfect for me. I really understood the idea and the pacing of it was good so I never got bored. Fun game! I reallllly liked the changing floor/ceiling heights!
Which theme were you going for though?
Only critique I have is the changing colors. I'm sure you wanted them to change to add a level of distraction to the experience, but I would have perfectly happy without them changing. Or maybe not have them change so often. At one point the block was black and the background was a dark purple. I gasped and had to move in closer to my monitor, haha! In any case, job well done on this game!
Hey man, 3 hours...it could've been so much worse!
Nice and simple game! Great work finishing!
Feedback:
- I'm not sure why I would have to stop in the game. The sprockets don't fire often enough for me to need to stop to avoid any.
- Bolt/bullet speed takes the wrench's movement into account. If you removed your speed from the bullet, and made it move a little faster, the consistency in bullet speed would allow you to time your shots to hit the sprockets. Right now it's just a little too unpredictable for that and it ruins some of the fun for me.
- After a while I found things to be a bit repetitive. Maybe even just another visual of a sprocket would have kept things interesting. Or maybe a power up of some kind that you have to shoot to pick up? Bouncy bullets, or rapid fire. there are a lot of options you can try =)
Overall though, the game is playable and complete. Well done!
Didn't load for me; brand new PC, Firefox.
You are evil for putting the controls on ALT and F4, but it's a fun game, so i re-opened chrome to come back and give you some good ratings! =p
REALLY wanted to send huge swarms without my computer lagging (i7 3770k, GTX670, 16GB ram). Still overall a great game, super entertaining! Well done!
Insanely fun. That "one more try" syndrome in full effect! I ended being late to work because I told myself I'd just vote for a few games, and ended up playing this all morning.
I found myself wanting to hit Left Arrow to move left at first (even though I saw the instructions).
Overall, a really fun game! Well done! Can you call my boss and tell him why I was late this morning? =p
I agree the controls were pretty unintuitive because of the jump on key up. Plus I got stuck in Level 2 because I missed a jump and was too big to get to the exit.
It was a nice attempt at using both themes!
SO MANY ACORNS! AWESOME. Let this running in the background as I started work and came back to an army of squirrels hucking nuts at vikings.
The soundtrack is really pleasant.
Definitely could use more things to do though. Planting trees was cool, but I wanted more of it without having to wait so long for seeds to drop.
I love the opening (esp when you're not allowed to pick the correct logical fallacy)! The tone feels consistent, I just wish the key prompt was in a more central place. I shot a bunch of my supporters because I was looking at the top left.
Great game though, I had fun!
I got the hang of the controls, but mana seemed to run out regardless. I really liked it overall: great audio, graphics, use of both themes, and mostly solid gameplay!
Cat Eating Everything Simulator 2015! Love the concept and use of the theme, nice job!
Offensive content warning and I open the page to see no link to play the game?! Such a tease you are! =p
So much beard power!!!!!
As an adult Asian male though, this game made me self-conscious.
Well made game,I hurt my fingers though trying to hit the keys so quickly so shortly after participating in a LD. But I suppose that's just like growing a beard in real life though, right?
Loving the graphics and sounds! I agree with goffmog though, I wish there was more moves to do.
Overall though, great entry. That double punch is a killer!
Played for a while trying to figure out what the alternative solution is. I couldn't figure it out though. Care to share the spoilers?
Impressive game! I'm not entirely sure what feedback to give. Maybe a % meter of how close you are to what the customer wants? This is a really neat game! Good work!
Fantastic work! I had a fun time playing this. I suppose my only feedback is that I was on the side of the world and a plane spawned there and I died without a chance to react. Not a huge piece of feedback, but there it is, heh. Well done!
I couldn't get past the rabbits. I stopped them all but then the game just ended when the time ran out. Not sure what I was supposed to do there.
I love the audio; it really went with the environment!
I like the idea and it was a good use of the theme, but there should probably be a limit on how many knives you can throw at once. I could just hold down one arrow, then the other, and throw infinite knives as I went across the screen.
I felt like you were supposed to be growing as you went, or I think most people expected that.
Gameplay is pretty good, and there's a fun mood, I guess I feel there could have been more done with it.
Pro tip: The White House is in DC...
Pretty addicting! Simple concept and easy mechanics to pick up! I'm not entirely sure why I would make an AI cell though. Overall, great work!
Tense being the guy who sends a person to heaven or hell! Same with Namek though, I had trouble discerning whether or not the details the character was holding behind their backs belonged to that person, or someone behind them.
Overall though, great use of the theme, and awesome theming in the game itself. That music! =)
Fun game! I felt kinda sorry for the pufferfish for getting all those suckerfish on it. But hey, high scores are at stake. =p
Great work on your first entry! You'll only get better from here! Keep at it and I hope to see your entry in LD35! =)
Same as kmakai, some requests didn't complete when it seemed like they should have. This game looks and feels really polished though, considering. Good work!
I had a smile on my face the entire time while trying this game. 15-20 minutes passed and while I was still having fun, I wasn't sure what my goal was? Am I to destroy all the piggies? Also, just as a previous review said, a "power meter" on the tank/catapult/shooting thing would have been really helpful. I littered the front of the fence with my shots. =p
Seriously love the aesthetics of this. So simple and still communicative.
Well done on your 2nd game ever!
Great idea! and good work incorporating both themes!
I've always to know what it was like to live the life of a dung beetle, and now I know! well done!
Incredibly addicting and fun! Great work! There were a couple times when I froze the block in front of me by hitting both up and down, but i quickly learned =p Good job on this entry!
Great use of the two button controls! First I've seen where one of the buttons changes your direction. That turret is mean, but not impossible since it's predictable. Great job on this entry!
"PC does what?"
"not mac!"
Sorry, but I can't run this. =(
Lots of fun! If you can find a way to get around the "hold A+D" exploit, you'd have a really solid game. It's really close though. If you can find some time afterwards, see if you can fix that exploit! Great work!
I started running low on enemies around level 75. Do you decrease the spawn rate of them? I wanted to melt some faces with my upgrades that I had! Overall though, fun game! Neat use of a random upgrade system.
(not scored yet) Crashes on my Win10 PC. Last line in stack trace dump is OpenTK.Audio.OpenAL.AL.GenBuffers(int32 n, int32* buffers)
Looks like your last line called was "LD35.Game1.LoadContent()"
I'm also in the camp of i had no idea what I was doing and had fun. I'm not sure why I couldn't stop playing... Maybe it was because one of my officers defected and I wanted to kill all the rebels out of anger... Great work on the design of this, and nice interpretation of the theme!
Really fun idea! I'm hoping you continue working on this, I'd like to see more content and some tuning of the controls if you have time. Great work!
Woof! fun design, I like "resource management" games, and the creepy twist on it with your game is awesome! Great work, and nice interpretation of the theme!
Love the audio in this! and a fun game to boot! Nice take on the theme and great job on your entry! Easy mode turned off is no joke, I've yet to beat that AI. =X
I'm with Saymon. WebGL all the way! Anyways, the game is a lot of fun to play. I like racing games in general, but this combines a lot of different types of racing into one! Took a bit to get used to switching between the cars, but once I did, I was zooming around the tracks. I'm going to see if I can get around the "hellish" track without dying at some point. =p Nice job!
Saw your tweet about your entry and came here to give it a try. It's too bad your kids were sick during the LD; this is a really cool game! I really like how well you handled the shifting between the two states without the ball going crazy. Great work! I'll be back to rate once the deadline passes!
Lots of fun! I giggled each time I got to the fast parts and tried to keep up. Well done!
Nice interpretation of the theme! I liked that the other AI compete with you for dots, felt a lot like playing other players in agar.io! I got pretty big!
I only got to 30 and then the raindrops destroyed me. I'm making it my mission in life to beat this game. great job!
I can't really give any good feedback other than the use of non pixel-art for the particle effects. It doesn't detract from the game, I just couldn't find anything wrong with it. =p
It's fun, knowing that you had even less time than LD gives. =) Nice job finishing though; it's a playable game with no crashes or bugs!
My brain and fingers got so tangled up. I haven't seen a game this tough on LD in a while. Love it! great job!
Thanks for the play, Mark O.! I think I should re-title the game to "game development simulator" based on your feedback, haha.
How would you fix the time problem? more purchasable time in the "shop" screen?
Fun, but I really wanted more to do. Maybe a jump and some vertical platforms for a "death from above" kind of mechanic. Overall though, I had fun playing it, even if it was for only a few minutes. LD needs more confetti balloons! =)
YESSS! Putting pico-8 on the map! Well done! I was impressed with what you pulled off with such a minimal color palette. Somewhat related, I used pico-8 for the first time this jam and absolutely loved it. I am excited to see what awesome things are possible, with your game as an example!
Really fun game! What a way to celebrate the day after your birthday by making a cool game! Well done! Just for my own clarification, was there any reason for facing the mouse? I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything.
I had a blast playing this game. I'd really like some audio in a game like this, if I were to offer any kind of constructive feedback. Great work!
Great work! I enjoyed my multiple attempts to beat my previous score... I suppose my only feedback is to put the character a bit farther to the left so I can have more time to change direction in case a group of planets is completely blocking the upper or lower areas. Overall though, a good, solid entry!
I wanted to receive feedback about how far the boxes went up when thrown. I wasn't sure if I was failing or succeeding when I threw them up. =( I'd play this again if there was some kind of "power to distance" feedback, so I can learn how many bars of power I'd need to throw the box to a certain height. Nonetheless, this is a solid game and has a ton of fun potential in it! Great work!
Tons of fun! Not sure if it was just me, but I felt the aim reticle was a bit off center. In any case, great work on a solid, fun game!
This was a ton of fun. Great job!
Well done visuals! I really loved the graphical theme of the entire game.
A nice, complete game! Great job!
I am really digging the aesthetic of your game! I get a "Wall-E"-esque Earth vibe from it. I think I'd only refine the controls a bit more since jumping around with 'W' seemed cumbersome at times. My thumb kept wanting to hit spacebar to jump. Overall though, a solid entry! Great work!
Well done! It took me a while to get used to the 'floaty' controls, but once I did I had a fun time playing your game!
Really addicting game! Kept me busy for a solid 15-20 minutes!
EPIC! I don't think there's anything better than picking up a bunch of coins... that 'ding ding ding ding ding..... ding ding ding' is a drug! Well done! Only thing I'd want fixed is the slowdown with a full screen of coins, I'd still be playing if my computer could handle it (Firefox browser on windows 10)
Props for using Phaser! I liked the room transitions and the eventual surprise I get if there's skeletons in the next room. Are the skeletons destructible? I thought they would be judging from the game's description above, but I seemed to have thrown most of my stuff at those guys and they just flash red for a little bit then fade back to white. I might have missed it in the tutorial/instructions, I'll check again.
A decent game, but I'm in the same boat as the other reviews about the difficulty. I think a zoom-in and zoom-out control might make things easier, since you can plan ahead more about your attacks.
I had a lot of fun1 Great job! Not a lot of feedback from me: I would probably add something like a "fullscreen" button though, in-game... I have to zoom out my browser a bit before I could see the entire menu.
Incredible game! I had a smile on my face the entire time!
Fun game for what it is. I couldn't figure out how the theme was followed though. Nice job!
I really liked the game mechanics! This was a really soothing game to play while stoned, I think one of my playthroughs was about 5-10 minutes and I only got about 5k, haha! Great job, and I'll be back to try for a better score later!
Cute pug! No constructive criticisms from me; I had a lot of fun playing this!
