Sometimes the enemies spawn on top of the player. Other than that great game! Very addictive and fits the theme quite well!
The game definitely fits the theme of the competition well, that's for sure. Not a particularly innovative game, but a decently fun distraction for a few minutes nonetheless. And for a game made in 7 hours, it's especially solid.
It definitely fit the theme well, I had fun watching the herd of enemies grow to be pretty huge lol. When they started taking up almost half the screen it got pretty intense. Great job!
Really fun game! I really like the way you controll the character, I felt like a ninja sliding past the incoming chickens and gathering a giant horde of following chickens. I managed to get 54 points, what's your highscore?

Thank you guys. @ohmmus, at first it was for the character to shoot, but it was too easy so I removed it. @seththefirst, there is a life indicator in the upper left corner.
This is one of the most simple games I've played for LD40 so far, and I must say it's in my top 5 favorites! No audio is a bummer, and it sounds like you made it in a heck of a rush, but it's perfectly simple and fun. I hope you expand on this with different enemies and some variety of pickups!
Wow! Only 7 hours? Controls were very tight, I was able to make some sneaky dashes past the chickens. Great game!
For only 7hours, this is a great game! With more time you could have polished it a lot
When you are close to the edges the enemy can spawn very close to you, I lost two lifes that way. The controls are very good, I lasted long because you can move easily.
A really nice game! The use of enemies are a neat idea, but there is no indicator for how many times I can be hit before I die. But, I did really enjoy the thrill of running away from enemies while also collecting the gems. Good job!
@charlez245, there is a life indicator in the upper left corner. I think i should have made it more visible.
@farofa0 Oh, I see. Just downloaded the Windows version of the game. It looks like there's something wrong with the anchor points in the UI. I would assume this is the cause because because the life indicator is revealed when going into a fullscreen 1920x1080 window. I had been using the non-fullscreen web version before.

Nice game in 7 hours, I got to 74 (I think) and obviously there might be some optimizations hanging low for future development, but I like this very much, thanks!

A very simple game, but it doesn't have any glaring problems with it~ Good job with the horde system, the enemies were moving in a group rather smoothly. Great for your first try, and in 7 hours to boot! Well done!
