LD40 — The more you have, the worse it is

Unsocial Media by CreativeWhisper 2017-12-12T13:46:07Z

It's a cool concept but the UI is a bit off-putting. I agree with @ursagames that the menu shouldn't go down, it should be upp at all times. I also think the passing of days should be clearer and points as well. I understand that as a creator it can be hard to make stuff easier to see / understand, since you already know where everything is at since you placed it there. But as a player who jumped in with no prior information of the game the experience was very confusing. However, besides all the flaws of this game, it's a solid concept and I think you should continue developing it. If you want to learn how to make better looking unity UI I would recommend watching this video from Brackeys: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zc8ac_qUXQY

ARCADE OVERFLOW by Remco 2017-12-04T23:41:46Z

Fantastic game! This game made me concentrate so much and you really came up with an inovative idea! The ammount of times i lost in ping pong really suprised me, I'd think that I'd lose in tetris or pacman but no... Ping Pong. I guess I was just focusing more on the others. 10/10 game!

Save your diamond factory by Fafnir 2017-12-12T09:58:13Z

I really enjoyed this game. Although it has a very clicker like gameplay, rather than tower defense, it had fast paced progress and it felt like I went from 0 income to 1 000 000 in a flash. I would, however, like to be able to upgrade the amount of diamonds I get per click (my DPC). 10/10

Tactical Marshmallows by applejam 2017-12-15T11:37:08Z

Really fun game! You have made a really nice looking game that fits the theme and actually feels unique. I really enjoy your artstyle and the gameplay was smooth and satisfying. This actually feels like it could become a "real" game. I would, however, like to be able to pause, and there should be a menu with different maps to choose from. The game was a bit too easy as well, but as a concept this is really good. Your entry is definitely one of the best ones from this Ludum Dare. You should rate more games though, so that you get the amount of attention your game deserves ;)

Sea Wars: Piratefront by Ogniok 2017-12-04T23:00:43Z

This game is really fun! I like that the name is a pun and how well you managed to fit the theme. It is really hard to keep the boxes in the boats though! When I had like 11 they all flew out (I think it's because they took up to much space (?) ) 9/10

Critter Sitter by dvdfu 2017-12-12T11:41:45Z

You made a really fun game! I found myself really caring about the well-being of my critters and it broke my heart to see the fire-breathers die because I accidentally placed the frogs right by the food source. Really good job and I wish you best of luck in the competition!

Room Shuffle by DBONGames 2017-12-05T08:21:40Z

I followed your instructions and managed to get the game to start, however I also fell through the floor as soon as I approached the table.

Tourist Chaos by MestreRothLD 2017-12-09T23:05:18Z

Great game, I managed to get to 10 300 but then bad luck struck me every game :P Good work and best of luck!

The Exalted by Flubz 2017-12-12T13:56:19Z

This is one of my favourite submissions so far! This game looks amazing and the UI is so clean. I really like the controls as well, even whilst using my mousepad I could dodge shots like a ninja. Well done!

Deleted by Strelly 2017-12-04T23:58:06Z

Great game with a concept that fits the theme but it felt a bit too fast and I would like to have more indication of a timer being low, like the factories growing as the timer goes lower (like if they were swelling up to explode).

MILF Of All Bombs by DiegoCTorguet 2017-12-04T23:33:09Z

This game is really cool! The models, effects and Ui are fantastic however the volume was too loud and you can't change it in-game and I felt that the controls were too responsive. I think you should have been able to alter how much the ship turns in an options menu (along with a volume slider). 8/10

Pet Watch by Skyward 2017-12-09T23:13:32Z

My virus protection said that your game was a virus, but I decided to ignore it's warning (you should fix that). Fun game, good work!

Love Potion #7.2 by realryanrogers 2017-12-04T23:19:28Z

Great idea! You managed to fit the theme, create a fun game and make it playable without (as far as i noticed) having bugs or a broken game. Well done! I liked the simple animations and the simple artstyle aswell as the sound effects. However I did not like the sont since I don't, personally, think it fits the game. 7/10

Lightmare by corc0 2017-12-04T23:53:36Z

Cool idea that really fits the theme + fantastic art + platformer = good game

Catch the bomb by Poroh 2017-12-04T23:47:11Z

Really cool artstyle and fun gameplay! It reminds me so much of the hours I spent on minesweeper.

The More the Bloodier by BloooBird 2017-12-05T07:35:50Z

@le-american Thank you very much! :) Yeah, I can imagine that it takes a while to get accustomed to the controls of the character but I'm happy you managed to get a hang of it :)

The More the Bloodier by BloooBird 2017-12-11T18:56:41Z

@ursagames I'm glad you liked it :) We will be updating the game in a while but right now school just consumes too much of our time. Do let us know if there's any specific changes you'd like us to make or any stuff that you'd like us to add to the game ;)

The More the Bloodier by BloooBird 2017-12-12T11:14:55Z

@toestee The bar represents an enemy spawning, we should probably add a text explaining that. Glad you managed to get a hang of the game though ;)

DUTAZEM by SiCzech 2017-12-05T08:33:30Z

It looks cool but I had no idea what to do when I played the game. I just "drove" around for a while and got bored, you need to at least describe the objective in the game.

Greedy Guy! by farofa0 2017-12-05T00:02:22Z

Really fun game! I really like the way you controll the character, I felt like a ninja sliding past the incoming chickens and gathering a giant horde of following chickens. I managed to get 54 points, what's your highscore?

LD42 — Running out of space

Panic Dungeon !! by ArnoChux 2018-08-15T15:28:40Z

It's fun, I enjoyed it. The army felt really responsive, I had an easy time controlling it and since the bombs always seemed to spawn right where I was standing I always had to move which means that I was never bored. The only issue I had was that the spikes sometimes failed to kill army-members standing on them (which isn't really an issue since it helped keep my army alive longer). Well done! :)

Sofamino by shide 2018-08-15T19:21:08Z

Really nice game, I like it! It reminds me of those room designer games I would play and also Tetris (which I still play a lot) so it was a nice experience. I just wish you got warned when you were running out of time.

Bun Run by Gumboot 2018-08-15T14:57:41Z

You managed to create a fun and charming game this time (as per usual). The bunny and the whole town looked really cute and I really liked how the bike handled. I also really liked the tetris like multi level package stacking (I managed to fit all the packages on the bike twice). Well done, this is bound to be one of my favourite games of this Ludum Dare! :)

Trash Compactor by Funnyguy77 2018-08-15T16:53:14Z

I wasn't able to do anything besides look and walk around (and die, probably(?)).

Bloody Hooligans by Natwomb 2018-08-16T19:37:01Z

Fun game with satisfying controls/handling. I just wish there were more specials and that you were able to recharge them.

Out Of Space by BloooBird 2018-08-15T20:31:27Z

@marshal Glad to hear it! @totalaj did a good job animating it ;)

@beelzeboss Thank you :)

@gleb-shishov Thank you, glad you liked it. Your game is very nice as well!

@drevilbrain Thank you so much that's really humbling :) Yeah, @totalaj did an amazing job with the tunes.

@paulo-augusto Haha nooo ^-^ Thank you very much :)

@leeloo Yeah it was difficult to work out a good randomization method for the props so we still had issues with impossible levels where you get utterly blocked when we released :/ I really like your idea with matching the beat of the music to the levels. It might be a bit difficult but if we improve upon this game we'll make sure to try it ;)

@nobledemon Glad you liked it! :) Yeah, you have to complete the first level to select the second one (which is a bit silly since the first level is difficult).

@catbutt ty

Out Of Space by BloooBird 2018-08-17T17:46:49Z

@tetra I saw your gameplay, you played really well! I wish you wouldn't have been hit by that bullshit rng hole in the end so that you could have seen the final stage of the game :P

Out Of Space by BloooBird 2018-08-18T11:58:21Z

@tetra I don't know, we liked the idea as a Ludum Dare submission but we're not really sure it'd make it on the "real" game market. However, depending on how we place in this competition, we might develop the game further.

Night Shift by TomekS 2018-08-18T13:02:18Z

Great game! I enjoyed it a lot. The forklifts turned really nice (I loved how you could turn really fast right when you start) and the maps were simple but fun. I also really liked the freedom you had, I've played a lot of games where you get to control multiple vehicles right after each other and I have to say that this was the one where I had the most freedom regarding both pathfinding and controlling the vehicles. The only "complaint" I have is that the game was a bit grey, a bit of colour would help in my opinion. Regardless, great job! Loved it!

S.T.A.C.K.E.R. Clear Bag by DrEvilBrain 2018-08-15T16:10:45Z

Great game! The story was really engaging (it reminded me a lot of Metro) and the inventory management was fun. I really liked it when you got bamboozled although I'm a bit embarrassed that I fell for it 3 times... Well done!

S.T.A.C.K.E.R. Clear Bag by DrEvilBrain 2018-08-15T19:08:52Z

@drevilbrain I had no idea, but it makes a lot of sense.

You Should Be Executed by Haeder2132 2018-08-15T15:37:25Z

The idea and the art-style were good but the gameplay... well, the tank was pointing in the opposite direction that the mouse was (in relation to the tank), the projectiles were very slow and couldn't reach the enemy tanks and the tank handled illogically (usually tanks go in the direction that the tracks are pointing and turn by rotating the tank). Although, it wasn't a bad game (especially not for being made in 3 days!). I really like how you got more score for moving and you had to avoid the enemy tank bullets and the art style was really good (I particularly liked the tank designs).

Boxed by Devio 2018-08-15T17:30:13Z

This game was really fun! I enjoyed the portal alike theme and feel of the game and I found the controls to be simple and understandable. Besides that, I liked that the boxes would fall back from above if you dropped them off and that the customers would get grumpy if it took too long. I would, however, have liked for the boxes to be picked up simply by left-clicking them and for the delivery of boxes to be proximity based (just like the incinerator). Good game, well done!

LD43 — Sacrifices must be made

Ursa by Maksym 2018-12-09T14:44:08Z

Really nice atmosphere. I like the purple colour scheme and the music was sweet and soothing.

Moloch's Priest by Colestia 2018-12-09T14:26:54Z

Awesome entry! You set an amazing mood with a nice colour scheme and some really fitting atmospheric music/sounds. The graphics and gameplay were simple but it was enough to set the great feel of the game. I really liked the game although I felt that I may not have paid enough attention in the beginning since I didn't realize that there were different choices until the third sacrifice.

Devilman Tossbaby by BloooBird 2018-12-19T22:03:58Z

@supr Happy that you liked it! :)

@nekonyo Thank you very much! Glad you noticed! :)

Abortion Boy by Saering 2018-12-09T14:50:33Z

Awesome style. Your aesthetics were amazing. The game cover was insane and the look of the game as well. The movement of the character felt a bit lacking and I couldn't get the baby to Fortnite dance, however, I really enjoyed the feel of this game.

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

TANKNAT by icxon 2020-10-08T18:01:17Z

Liked the game :) I had fun driving around the tank and shooting, felt that you had good control and that I could easily dodge bullets and attacks if I tried. Also really liked the effect of the laser beam going around and changing the levels (especially nice that it reverted back to the previous loop layout when reversing). Also love that you made the name a palindrome haha.

The feedback I have is this: initially I was a bit confused on what to do and didn't really realize that the enemies were enemies until I got shot (that's just me being slow though). Also didn't realize you could upgrade your tank by diriving into the slot since I though that the arrow was supposed to indicate that the green boxes I picked up were adding to my health (also me being slow again). The only non "me being stupid" feedback I have is this instance when I couldn't proceed because there was a box in the way:

TANKNAT-(cut).gif

Great job! Looking forward to seeing your future games ;)

TANKNAT by icxon 2020-10-09T06:58:45Z

@graal ooOOooh I see, that's a cool feature. My team also always have trouble with giving clear instructions  I guess it's because it gets deprioritized after gameplay and assets :P

Ouroboros by Simon Rahnasto 2020-10-07T16:20:46Z

Really cool game! Loved the art-style and controlling the character felt really good. Had a fun time :) Was super impressed when I saw that this was made with only one programmer and artist, great work  The only thing I would have added is a health bar for the boss at the end, because I felt that a sense of progression there would have been nice.

Loopback by Dj Depressive 2020-10-08T07:09:26Z

@tunahead @shay-cichocki @marinee @kultisti @untitled-studios Glad you liked our game :) Yeah I had planned on making a tutorial scene and adding icons that appeared when you perform actions in the planning phase but never found the time  Also wanted to add some sliders for ammo and such but never got to it. Maybe we'll add it in a post-jam version ;) Thank you for the great feedback :)

Loopback by Dj Depressive 2020-10-08T17:43:50Z

@a333 Great feedback! We were thinking that it would have been nice to not have it replay from the beginning each time but decided that it would fit the theme a lot better if it did. Should probably change that if we make a post-jam version. As for the aiming: we meant to add a line from the gun in the direction it would shoot but time caught up with us and ran straight past, same with adding a tutorial. Had a system in mind for consistent interactions with enemies as well but, well, time. Loved your stream of thoughts, it was nice to be able to read someone's initial thoughts and reactions when playing the game since we weren't able to playtest much and I'm really touched that you spent that much effort reviewing our game :)

Loopback by Dj Depressive 2020-10-09T07:04:36Z

@nusan Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah we never got to implementing consistent randomness so each time you replay the outcome can vary greatly. A character that died previously could suddenly be revived and an enemy that previously died could survive. We're also gonna add a bunch of indicators and a tutorial if we ever make a post-jam version. Thanks for the great feedback :)

Loopback by Dj Depressive 2020-10-09T07:06:44Z

@coding4rtist Haha we did that to a bunch of times when testing the game ;D It's always fun to see who ends up coming out on top. Glad you had fun playing our game :)

Divine Drifter by Enzar17 2020-10-08T17:35:07Z

Really cool game! You really managed to create a cool and consistent style for the game and I love the concept. The only thing that I didn't like was controlling the car, it felt clunky and I never really felt in control of the car. It might be because I'm really used to how you drift in Slipstream (which I've played a lot). I'd also would have liked crashing to be more forgiving since I feel that having to restart after just touching the side of another car was a bit too harsh. Otherwise an amazing game, really impressed by how much you managed to pack in in just 72 hours.

Space Drummer by Guilloteam 2020-10-07T15:57:49Z

Really like the concept! It was really fun making drum beats and seeing how they felt to play with :)

LD49 — Unstable

PTSD Fishing by KuKuRammus 2021-10-06T19:39:46Z

I think this game is pretty fun although I don't like how long you have to wait for the fishes to catch the bait. I'd have liked it better if the fishes were more prone to go for the bait but swam faster and therefore you had to make sure to throw your rod where there are fishes available. I am not really a fishing game type of guy though.

The mood was set really well, the first time I caught a fish I really felt the stress. However, I wish there was more to the game. Like something you could do with the fish you've caught, might have been me missing something.

One thing I have to mention is that this game feels awfully similar to [**THIS**](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/48/fishing-trouble) submission from the last Ludum Dare

Unstabadome by Dj Depressive 2021-10-05T16:00:41Z

Unstabadome by Dj Depressive 2021-10-06T08:08:14Z

@3lstmsinatrenchcoat I added a Linux build now just for you ;) I wasn't able to test it but I'm gonna set up ubuntu in a virtual box later to test that it works. It's only for version 0.2 though

Unstabadome by Dj Depressive 2021-10-06T20:11:23Z

@elmismopancho Thanks for the feedback! Yeah we've been thinking about adding something else than audio to indicate when a mechanic changes. We'll make sure to add it in the next version ;)

Unstabadome by Dj Depressive 2021-10-06T20:42:43Z

Appreciate the feedback @doot!

Yeah we addressed those issues in version 0.2/0.21, bummed we couldn't manage to do it before the jam ended :/

Unstabadome by Dj Depressive 2021-10-06T20:50:37Z

@elmismopancho Absolutely, that is a very good point!

Unstabadome by Dj Depressive 2021-10-06T21:05:31Z

@staticbits Glad you had fun :) Yeah I think that darn rocket launcher has killed me more times than the enemies

Something is definitely off with the hitboxes of the enemies, we'll look into it ;)

Unstabadome by Dj Depressive 2021-10-07T13:53:34Z

@ryjcio Really happy you enjoyed our game :) I totally agree with your point of there not being enough feedback when you get hurt, we're currently working on a solution to make it more clear ;)

We did have a minigun planned but time caught up with us unfortunately, maybe we'll add it in a later update :P

Unstabadome by Dj Depressive 2021-10-07T13:54:54Z

I agree with most of your criticism and they're things we are trying to work out for our next release.

It warms my heart that you took note to all the hard work we put in 🥲

Unstabadome by Dj Depressive 2021-10-08T09:43:32Z

@yahya-alruby Thank you for your updated review

Those are all very fair complaints. Yeah the game is currently pretty broken, we're working on it and it's gradually becoming more and more stable ;)

Kojan by Fat cat 2021-10-08T10:01:55Z

Really cool game! Loved the art-style and the mood. The volume of the rain, when I first launched the game, was a bit jarring but that's alright since you had settings to turn the volume down. The game feels very polished and all mechanics were well implemented. Reminds me a of *Don't Starve* which is nice. My one real complaint is that the game was perhaps a bit slow for my taste but that's just a preference thing.

Amazing work! Well done :)

This game is insanely cool!!! Love the style of it and how you manage to create such an engaging and well put together story during 72 hours is beyond me. WELL DONE!

Tables & Tremors by SlimmerBurger 2021-10-06T19:25:41Z

I didn't get all the way through but I had fun. Took me some time to get what I had to do but after a while what is was meant to do, although I never got sufficient at it. I think the increment of challenge between levels is good, doesn't feel like there was any monumental increase between any levels (up to level 10, which is how far i got). However, I do feel like the mechanics of the game aren't introduced clearly enough. I had to scour the comments here and the description of the game to actually understand what I was meant to do. Despite that it is a really fun and innovative game with a unique style, good job! :D

TECHNUCLEAR by TheGreenWorm 2021-10-08T09:40:45Z

Fantastic game! I, alike many other, love the music and how timed to the music the game is. I'm a great fan of rythmic games and this one feels immensely satisfying. The diversity of levels and mechanics of this game is insane, I'm thoroughly impressed! Had really fun playing it :)

Psycho-unstable Journey by KenForest 2021-10-08T10:55:39Z

Can't find a link to the origional release? Only a fixed version

Perfectly Balanced by mhorth 2021-10-06T20:40:23Z

I'm amazed how polished this game is! Super-clean UI, great colour-scheme, the scene game scene (although simple) looks great. Love how smooth the menu transitions are and how you can inspect people's highscores. I really wanted to become ***the master of balance*** but my methods of balance were to sporadic, guess I'm too impatient hehe  I love it, actually can't really think of any constructive feedback to give :P

Perfectly Balanced by mhorth 2021-10-07T12:49:48Z

@mhorth what hosting service are you using for the highscores? Because I really like how you save multiple variables of the player's score and display them in-game

Perfectly Balanced by mhorth 2021-10-07T15:44:10Z

@mhort Oooh that sounds really nice, I'll have to dive into how databases are made then for sure!

I ran into the same frustrations you spoke of with the service I'm using for our game ([globalstats.io](https://globalstats.io/)). I'm able to store which version was used when the highscore was achieved but I'm currently not able to figure out how I would limit the score's present in the game to be the one's achieved in the same version. I doubt it's impossible since I'm able to store both data-types in the same "entry" on the site but I simply lack the knowledge required to make it work

Thank you for responding!

"Enemies are too difficult, style too simple, level design feels random"

***(please be mindful that the comments you leave will be read by other real human beings)***

Jk. that's not how I really feel. I like the game, simple but fun. Reminds me a lot of one of the earlier games I've made. Loved the beatboxing soundtrack and the character design was pretty cool :) Levels felt a bit flat style-wise which makes the characters feel a bit out of place but that's very understandable during a 72 hour solo game-jam.

Good job!

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Shotgun King: the Final Checkmate by benjamin 2022-04-15T01:12:58Z

***Amazing! Top notch! Favourite Submission so far!***

Actually felt that I got a little better at strategising chess moves with this game. Perhaps not too much better... but a smidgen at least ;) Art-style was on point, clean and simple yet elegant with great usage of a limited colour-scheme. Same goes for the audio, stellar choice of sound effects and the music fits perfectly. Gameplay felt really intuitive and had surprising depth. One of the few games which I think actually pull off a successful twist on chess, making it feel very unique whilst still staying true to the universe of chess.

It doesn't feel like it was made in 72 hours with this incredible amount of polish ***(not that I have any doubts that it was, I'm just stunned :) )***.

My one and only gripe with this game would be that it felt like you had to wait a bit too long between runs. As someone who tended to have quite short runs and played quite a lot of them (at least 30-40 runs, definitely lost count) it got a bit tedious to have to skip through the introduction story each time. Even though I did love it a lot: it did lose its punch after the 10th time or so.

Although this didn't really bother me too much since the only reason I was skipping through the intro time after time was to get back to the incredibly entertaining and addictive gameplay :)

**Conclusion:** Absolutely phenomenal work!

Fire Escape by Dj Depressive 2022-04-05T22:00:51Z

@somesortofsam Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah we didn't really implement clear feedback for what different actions entail but you're basically supposed to distract/disturb the boss. Pushing co-workers into him or causing the printer to shoot paper in his face will slow him down and give you more points.

(No worries, I've struggled with the commenting system here previously ;) )

Fire Escape by Dj Depressive 2022-04-05T22:02:28Z

@velvetlobster We'll be happy to hear what you think of the game when you play it :)

Fire Escape by Dj Depressive 2022-04-05T22:06:25Z

@velvetlobster It's the very next thing on our to-do list ;) Been busy ticking of bugs but we'll try our hardest to get a web version working :)

Fire Escape by Dj Depressive 2022-04-07T09:38:43Z

@someone Very happy you enjoyed it! I also really like potted plants ;)

---

@matterlinx Glad we could entertain you! :D Yeah the others sure did do a great job with the voice acting ;) Would have participated myself but was too deep into the code at the moment

---

@mateu Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the praise, a steam release sure would sure be something! ;)

Regarding the mechanical depth: I think we just didn't make it clear enough what was available to the player, since everything which gets outlined has a different interaction through LMB which in-turn can greatly affect your score and run.

There should be a clear difficulty scaling in the game for each round/day, which day did you make it to?

Fire Escape by Dj Depressive 2022-04-08T08:24:39Z

@adncoach Thank you very much! Haha yeah I think the co-workers haven't really grasped the situation  I don't think I could keep my cool in that situation ;)

---

@copito Really glad you ***super***-enjoyed our game!!! :D Yeah, that was a real miss on our front: never really explaining that you can interact with objects in the environment and that it has an impact on both the boss and your score. Really impressed that you managed to make it all the way to the last level!

---

@xenosns Thank you!

---

@boxedmeatrevolution Sad you ran into that many bugs :( We never got around to performance optimisation but it's most definitely something we'll be doing for later patches ;) Happy you still found the game to be an enjoyable experience! Picking up things to throw definitely sounds like a super fun feature!

Fire Escape by Dj Depressive 2022-04-08T08:26:48Z

@mateu Fair enough, with our current system we can't really achieve too much contrast between days but we'll work on it! However, there are 6 more days after the 4th one to suffer through if you ever feel up for the challenge later on ;)

fireme.club by velvetlobster 2022-04-05T21:54:48Z

Hahaha, fun to see someone else who interpreted the theme with getting fired being inevitable. Although our games are really different! This entire game is an impressive feat! Loved the art-style and the music was on point. If I'm honest I wasn't quite able to follow what was happening when I battled someone but I won which was fun :sunglasses:

Different Strokes by Scott Steffes 2022-04-05T23:36:58Z

Absolutely fantastic... such a great mood and setting with a gorgeous art-style which is only added to through the submissions of players. Most paintings are just memes but every now and then you stumble upon an original art-pieces. Not that I dislike the memes, has a few chuckles thanks to them.

It was really fun to go between painting my own paintings, making sure to leave space for improvement and adjustment with the knowledge that someone (hopefully) is going to add to the artwork, and changing the artworks of others. I usually tried to keep the original idea intact but change the art-style to that of my own.

I have some features that I would like to suggest adding: the ability to sign the painting with a username, the ability to report offensive paintings and the ability to inspect a painting again after having exited it (found myself forgetting to check the original and getting curious after having just left the painting).

Reminds me of "Can Your Pet". Was really not expecting such a great narrative and voice acting :) I failed my first round but, armed with knowledge, I've managed to refrain from clicking the button in my ongoing run ;)

Battery Low by Milestone Games 2022-04-05T21:12:47Z

Very good looking game! Loved the sounds that the robot made and the theme is on point :ok_hand: I like that you only had to use your mouse to control the game. The one issue I ran into was that it didn't recognize that I had picked up an artefact so I couldn't progress in that run.

Cat in the Bag by JoshH 2022-04-05T22:25:26Z

Charming game with a really fun story and great art :) I tried to use Dracula to defeat wizards and failed miserably :(

I don't know if this is a bug or not but in the story they spoke of items that were found or gained however, no new items appeared in the inventory.

Venting Machine by EmberUshi 2022-04-05T21:02:24Z

Short but sweet! Very cool character design and simple yet mechanics :) Could use some frame of reference for how well you're performing but I guess that's something you figure out as you test a few rounds. I hit the perfect highscore ;) firefox_Ww689LAoau.png

Haha so much fun, never tried using the shortcuts but using the mouse worked fine.

CityDefense by JOrbits 2018-04-25T07:13:17Z

Really nice game but a bit too easy. I managed to get the laboratory within like 3 mins but I went on until my defense was so good that I couldn't see the enemies before they were dead. The style of the game is really fitting and the gameplay feels smooth. Great work!

HO... LY... SMOKES! I'm speechless. You managed to make this amazing game alone in the same amount of the time it took us (a team of 8) to make our game, and it's flawless... You amaze me.

I absolutely LOVE your models, they are the pinacle of cuteness and the sound effects make it perfect. I adore your artstyle, you managed to keep a consistant style through-out all your models and they all look amazing. The gameplay worked fantastically, I love that you can alter the angle a bit mid hit so that you hit your target and the animations are spot-on.

I felt like we were rivals before, since we were making the same kind of game, but now I feel like your an inspiration to us all.

Also: I added you to the "Favourite Picks Ludum Dare 41" list on my profile, just so you know.

YOU LEFT ME. by Angela He 2018-04-24T20:27:39Z

... this was such an experience. I never thought I would get to play a game with such a high quality narrative in Ludum Dare but you sure broke my expectations. Amazing work, this is definetly my favourite game from this Ludum Dare and it's going to be really hard for any game to beat the experience that your game gave me. Thank you. Also: could you by any chance upload the music used in the game somewhere so that I can listen to it? I really enjoyed it. (btw I added you to the "Favourite picks Ludum Dare 41" part of my profile, just so you know)

Racingsaurus Text by Don Fouts 2018-04-24T16:43:16Z

Haha so good! I ended up having my phone up all the time so that I could answer as soon as possible xD Actaully managed to beat the last level on my first try, mostly because I remembered all the right answers. Sometimes my car glitched out of the track and I couldn't make it back indside which made me mad but I just restarted the track and tried again. Really funny and nice game though! 10/10 would play again (added you to my "Top picks from ludum dare 41" list on my profile)

Caroyale - BR + Racing by REDKAY 2018-04-24T16:02:59Z

I never got the game to work, you get no user feedback whilst in the main menu, all I could see was a "Joined" in the upper left corner. I couldn't see which lobby I was in, how many players there were and when I tried creating a lobby nothing seemed to happen. I really like the concept and I think It might have been cool had I gotten it to work but I didn't. If I did something wrong please tell me and I'll give it another shot.

Hangover Kitchen by Lewis Quaife 2018-04-24T20:04:17Z

OH BOY! That was difficult, but a lot of fun! I worked on "the other cooking game" and I'm amazed my how different our submissions were even though we both made cooking games. The artstyle of your game is amazing and I found the controls to be really responsive which made shooting the food a lot easier. I would, however, like for the food to be a bit larger or for there to be different levels of difficulty (which might change food size or how big orders the customers make) so that delivering the right food becomes easier.

Great game though!

Toppen Ultimate Anime Defense by DosWosh 2018-04-24T13:44:43Z

Nice game with fun characters, the camera was a bit misplaced though since I couldn't see the enemies when they came out and most enemies died before I saw them. (I was playing in windowed mode at 720p)

Fight For Food by BloooBird 2018-04-24T06:19:56Z

@sharks Looking forward to hear what you think about the game!

@Team-Orange-Pop I'm flattered!

Fight For Food by BloooBird 2018-04-24T06:25:00Z

@Anubhav-Kashyap Thank you :)

Fight For Food by BloooBird 2018-04-24T11:22:39Z

Thanks for your input @PsilocybeGames I agree that the spawn-rate is to low, we are working on a second build of the game so your criticism is really helpful. Could you tell me which method of moving you used though since you are way faster if you walk forwards and sideways at the same time whilst jumping, but yes, we should probably alter the movement a bit. I'm happy that you enjoyed the game!

Fight For Food by BloooBird 2018-04-24T11:41:12Z

Thank you @maloy-Quinn and yes, I agree.

Fight For Food by BloooBird 2018-04-24T14:12:31Z

@Mathiouza Yeah we're going to rework the spawning system in a patch we're working on and we never got around to recording music or sound effects since the scope of this game was a bit too big for us to manage (being rookie programmers and game developers) but we might ad some in the patch. We are going to implement animations in the future but right now we have to grasp how to correctly implement animations from blender to unity. We're also going to try to balance the attack range and hp / damage. Thank you so much for your input, it helps a lot! :)

Fight For Food by BloooBird 2018-04-24T14:12:44Z

@RocketRaccoons Thank you :)

Fight For Food by BloooBird 2018-04-24T16:13:59Z

@mainghia95 Thank you very much! :) Yeah we were planning on at least changing the camera angle before launch but never got around to it. We'll make sure to fix it in the patch ;) Thanks for playing

Fight For Food by BloooBird 2018-04-24T20:55:07Z

@them Yeah, we went way in over our heads with this one. It took blood, sweat and tears to finish this game in time and in the end it's nowhere near as good as we want it to be. However, this has been a really valuable lesson for everyone involved in why we should not try to make more than we can manage so that we can avoid working 14-16 non-stop each day. We will definetly be going for a smaller scope next time but I'm glad we went for a too large game this time, since we might actually be able to fix and polish this game and maybe, actually, eventually release it for real.

Can't beleive this was made within 72 hours, great work!

Super Slime Slasher Ultra by sebastianscaini 2018-04-24T19:54:55Z

This game was great fun. It took me way to many "chain destroyed" to realise that I had to right-click to collect my points but It was enjoyable anyway. I don't really have any critisism to give, the game is perfectly functional and has all required features. However I do have some ideas for improvements: bosses, mini-bosses and different arenas.

Dirty Pink by Carpin 2018-04-25T07:40:25Z

Great game. I really like the art-style and the controls were pretty nice. However, it was really hard to get the right ice-creams, hit the targets and avoid oncoming traffic all at once. But I really like the game, 10/10.

Last Girl On Earth by Reality Blind 2018-04-24T16:11:59Z

Really fun game with a loveable artstyle and fitting sound effects. The soudtrack was nice and the gameplay felt right. However, when I got past wave 5 the wave counter increased by one, so I got to wave 300 without seeing an "enemy" since wave 5.

On The Fly by qkjosh 2018-04-24T15:51:54Z

Extremely beautiful game and really cute narrative. I like that you made it both a 2-player game and a singleplayer game at the same time. The bugs seemed to miss the birds mouth sometimes though but that was just a minor issue that did not affect game at all. Amazing work!

Reverse by MrJake7X 2018-04-24T20:10:32Z

Stop copy-paste:ing the same comment on other peoples games, I get that you want people to check out your game @hkoisumi but it's not nice to leave the exact same comment on multiple people's games just to grab attention. Your game looks cool but play fair.

Memories ~ of a Gacha Tale by tastelikecoke 2018-04-24T11:17:01Z

I liked the narrative, even though it was very stereotypical, and the artwork was really good. I just think there weren't enough dice roles, although I understand that it would be hard to implement more since the narrative changes every time the dice roles so you would have to write a lot of narrative. Great work though!

Super Ice-Cream Roller Ultra by Probe31 2018-04-24T15:43:03Z

Really colourful and cute game with a cool idea and good execution but I'm going to have to agree with @Andrew-Castillo and @Eldemarkki , you need bigger / wider platforms.

My army KICKED ASS

Blodsport Screenshot.png

Your game is great fun and has real character. The design of the game is awesome, although it's simple it fits the game so well and I just love it. The rng element of when and where weapons dropped was annoying at times but as soon as I had gathered a large and strong enough army I found that it wasn't a problem most of the time. I would love to see an expansion of this game where you have multiple sports and each sport has levels of enemies (like what you have now). I would definetly play it.

Great Job, you get a 10/10 from me and I'm gonna put you in the "Top picks from Ludum Dare 41" part of my profile.
