This is probably the prettiest game I've seen so far on here. Simple art direction can be so effective.
Gameplay-wise, I feel like the idea is great but the platforms are just a little too small for the imprecise keyboard controls. I feel like this could be far easier to control if it used a controller or tilt controls and the land areas were somewhat bigger. It *is* good for what you could do with just keyboard input. I like that the WASD keys actually move forward relative to the platforms rather than the camera, which makes the game much more controllable.
Good idea and good execution! I quite enjoyed this one, even if it is way too difficult for my liking.
Very beautiful color palette! But like @Andrew Castillo said, the platforms are quite small. But I think the player should not slide that much, it's somewhat difficult to control him/her
Really colourful and cute game with a cool idea and good execution but I'm going to have to agree with @Andrew-Castillo and @Eldemarkki , you need bigger / wider platforms.
Great concept with AMAZING graphics and music! Love the idea of making ice cream orders and the rolling ball concept. Seriously great, and so cute.
Visually very nice, completely unplayable for me. Rolling with small platforms and angles on top of it, with such a short time frame made me rage quit.
I actually thought the controls were just about right - tricky, but balanced just enough that you feel like it was your own fault when you fall off! Great presentation too.
It looks and sounds amazing, kindof sad I couldn't rate this on graphics. IMO the difficulty is perfect, although the controls are tough to get the hang of early on.
really great looking game :) found it SUPER hard to conbtrol lol. but after a while i got the hang of it and managed to deliver a few ice creams :P great work!
Fun little game! You really nailed the graphics. Reminded me a lot of PolyBridge in its mood, well done! Had a couple of tragic moments, such as pridefully getting to the apple scoops, only scooping once, and heading back to the delivery zone to realize it was a three scoop order!
Very cute but the controls are from hell :D
Thanks :D Now you can vote for graphics and sound also :D Thanks so much for playing.
What a pretty game!! I love the art and music. Really difficult controls. I feel like this would be a great mobile game with tilt controls. It's just a bit awkward on the computer. Overall, well done!
Beautiful game, love that aesthetic. Many try it and few get it right, but you seem to have nailed it. A little more space to explore would've made the game a bit easier, but then the level of difficulty may be what you were going for. Glad to hear some great sound in there too, rating up!
Really cool art and sound, I wouldn't say much more than the previous ones regaarding the controls and the Level design. Congrats for making it !
With some adjustments for the controls, this game has the potential to be super great game.
I want an ice cream now!! The game graphics are so cute and the music is also nice. Since it's hard to be controller with a keyboard, the idea is good: Something like Monkey Ball and an Ice cream shop management. Great work!!
Physics feel great ; I would have liked to see some indicator for the orders's remaining time. The graphics remind me of Monument Valley (which is a compliment). Great job
Great and cute art, but the gameplay itself felt somewhat basic, reminded me of winter maps in Overcooked with nothing new and conceptually different added to that. I liked the music but I don't think it was a good fit for a game where you have to race against time and not fall from the platform, something more "stressful" would accompany the gameplay better in my opinion. Also, the "next level" button didn't work for me, so I assume there's only one level which is a bummer
Charming little game. It strikes me as one of those games that'll be a good multiplayer game. For a rolling ball game - the controlls are good - you dont want it to be precise or it wont be challenging (my opinion).
More levelz plz!!
Cool art style and music but the control is quite struggling
Golf ball casualties: at least 20. :icecream:

Despite how frustrating the controls are, I have to say, I had a lot of fun playing this. Like yeah it was pretty easy to fall due to how narrow the path is, but the game was at least forgiving in letting me keep my items whenever I fell. The run in that screenshot was mostly done by falling off the ledge immediately after collecting most items (particularly the ones where you don't just move in a straight line), which helped me to quickly spawn back to the middle and grab the much needed items. :stuck_out_tongue:
Of course, the downside to keeping your items is that the orders have an insanely low "patience" time, which I could swear was running out faster than what the indicators gave. Some orders, when finished, would switch their order type but keep the timer running rather than resetting it, making it discouraging when you finally scoop up that TRIPLE APPLE ICE CREAM and now your customer decides they just want a single scoop grape that you have to trash and hurry to create in a matter of seconds. :weary:
This was quite enjoyable and got me laughing whenever I just fell off the ledge. It's an interesting take on the whole "make something and serve it to someone in a time limit" type games, with the additional mechanic of [Fluffball](http://www.nitrome.com/games/fluffball) physics. I had a good time, mostly because the music and the graphics were quite pleasant and cute. You captured a laidback, yet still happy feeling with the audio, and I definitely enjoyed that. I wish there were more sound effects because they would have really helped with indicating as to whether or not I had already taken a scoop of ice cream. Some of the bins hide the character and that makes it hard to tell when I did take a scoop.
The one level you designed (I'm assuming, since it seems to be the only one I can play) is good, though maybe not the best first level to start out with. You'd want wider platforms, even more fences, to give the player a chance to get used to the controls. Not all isometric platformers control the same, oddly enough, so it's ideal to start with a ridiculously easy level and then gradually amp up the difficulty once players are more comfortable. For what you have in the game, I quite liked it, even when I did make that poor golf ball with a mustache explode for the 12093820th time. :joy:
Wow :D Cool review @random-storykeeper, I would liked to make more levels but didn't had enought time, I began too late :( .Thanks for all the feedback, I'm really appreciate. I'm considering make more levels and improve the difficulty curve.
i loved it! good job!
Really great submission, nailed it on the graphics, it is very very beautiful  However, I suggest to make the controls more tactile, I don't know if it's just me or if I really suck at the game. The background music is good, but it taunts me because I die so many many times  It is very sad to see the little golf ball die because of me for the nth time, hahahaha. I think the finishing touch for this would be a main menu screen for players to be prepared first before diving into the game.
Pretty graphics and interesting concept. But, as mentioned before, the platforms are really too small for the imprecise keyboard input.
I liked it, even got 1 star at least at the end of the level!:icecream:
Check my game too: [Gourmet Shot](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/gourmet-shot).
Post reading really advised!
the only thing that I annoyed me was that the camera angle did not match with the alignment of the A, S, D, W keys (I would prefer to hit W and A instead of W), so it's kind of hard to get used to (well at least for me), I would suggest that you give the option to the player to change that in a future build. Other than that, the game is pretty good!
Interesting concept, beautiful graphics, but unfortunately the controls kept me from enjoying it. The controls take you in cardinal directions instead of being relative to the player. This threw me off a lot. The isometric view really didn't help either. The control issues are also worsened by how slippery the character feels and how big he is/how small the platforms are compared to each other. Would love to give this another go if the controls were improved. Sorry if this was a bit of a downer! :slight_frown:
I like your game but what funisfun8 says is right sometimes is really difficult to control the character ;) But over all really nice little game
Gah! I want to play this so much but the darn Windows file is a RAR instead of a ZIP! Sigh... If only Windows had a native RAR unzipper... Anyway, will give it a whirl sans-controller on the Mac at a later point. Just wanted to chime in and say how cool this game looks, and I can't wait to give it a try.
EDIT: Okay! Played it a bit on the Mac at least, and it was a lot of fun. As people have already said, controls are SUPER hard, ha ha. But the feel is brilliant and the style is gorgeous. For some reason the timer/orders didn't work here? I had fun rolling around, but the timer never started nor did any order appear. Oh well!
Really clean art style and cool mashup of genres, and the character is adorbs! I guess my gripe is the isometric view while although really nice looking, doesn't really gel well with the super monkey ball gameplay - there's no shadows to indicate your exact location and the shorter rails don't seem to effectively prevent you from falling as there is a depth perception problem. Controls were hard but felt just right. I had a fun time!
Really cute graphics.
Very frustrating controls, but it makes it more challenging haha. I enjoyed trying to deliver ice creams, though I didn't manage to deliver a lot... I'm pretty bad at this game ;) The light-hearted music and beautiful graphics of this games are probably the main reason why I wanted to give it one more chance each time I fell off the ground. Overall, a nice little game, maybe easier to play with a game controller!
Game idea is good itself. But too hard to play. Very smooth controls. Yes it is a part of game mechanic but too smooth and slow. Playr should be SUPER accurate to move. But time is runnig out! Sometimes I can't give the icecream - button not working.
This can be challenging first, but especially with controller you can master this quite quickly. I can imagine that the game can be considered hard, by some players. I personally would change only one thing. Once you fall, I would restart the progress, and I mean that player would need to complete his CONE again from scratch. This would add some additional challenge. But that's just me :) Great entry.
Its amazing how every game I see in this JAM is unique somehow :D <3
Reminds me of playing overcooked, solid graphics and audio, but the controls made me want to rage quit. I understand a big part of the game is the difficulty navigating, but it still felt frustrating. Nice idea though.
Those graphs are smooth af, and the gameplay frustrating enough to make you wanna play again. Good job.
The music and the graphic style are very beautiful. Control is challenging in the first level, mechanics have potential for many phases (I managed to complete the first with three stars and the second I stayed in the two stars).
Congratulations.
It was tough to figure out the way to move along the isometric graph, for a rolling game I still expected it to be relative to the camera. I like that the rolling added a new aspect to this cooking / time management sort of game!
Holy Polish Batman! This game is freaking Beautiful!!! Also, I'm TERRIBLE at your game haha It's very challenging :) Well Done! You created a very full and interesting game!!!
Very beautiful aesthetic. The 3/4 movements make it hard to control especially with the inertia.
Oh man, controlling the ice cream ball is pretty frustrating! The music and graphics are pretty nice though. And I really like the dying animation and splat whenever I fell off.. it made it a bit more funny whenever I died. Overall, I wish the controls were a bit more intuitive - I couldn't figure out why it was so hard to change directions.
Very fun and the art is very beautiful, but I had problem in the movement. Congratulations!
I left my rating of your game, if you can leave your feedback in our game, Witch's Escape.
I hope you continue with the project.
