Cool game!

You should make it fullscreen so you don't accidently click outside the game window. It would also be easier if there were meters instead of just numbers for the timers.

It could maybe be more fun if the timers were longer and that you only save like 1 or 2 seconds for each click instead of reseting the timer.

=)

strelly 2017-12-04 18:04

@darkgrisen thanks for the feedback! I see what you mean, the numbers are a bit hard to see too. But the timers are short to give a sense of urgency, I don't know how giving higher timers would affect that, will try to play with it!

sgadrat 2017-12-04 18:17

Nice gameplay, making us constantly watching everywere until we can't keep track :)

kerneltt 2017-12-04 18:35

interesting game, liked it, but felt it too fast

arcadia 2017-12-04 18:47

Interesting take on the theme, perhaps a bit short (maybe it's just me, but it feels unmanageable very quickly with over 4-5 active factories). Nice music too! Great job!

sinci1 2017-12-04 19:02

This is definitely one of the most unique games on here, i especially like how when you die, the score appears not instantly, but one by one. Awesome game :D

strelly 2017-12-04 20:33

@sinci1 @sgadrat Thank you guys so much ;; <3

strelly 2017-12-04 20:34

@arcadia @kerneltt Yeah the fast runs are intended, designed so you can play a round any minute you can trying to beat your highscore! Thanks for your comment <3

mathiouza 2017-12-04 21:35

I survived 41 seconds and get 2136 ^^' Is that bad ? x) Cool game and coolo concept ! Maybe you should ad an alarm or something when a factory is under 1 or 2 for makes the player stressing more ! x) I liked the music and the graphics works well. Good use of the theme !

Overall cool game ! Keep coding :)

strelly 2017-12-04 21:39

@mathiouza thank you very much! My average points are ~30 seconds and ~2500 points so your score isn't that bad, I'm glad you enjoyed it :D. Also, I tried to add the alarm but not even I could handle it so I had to get it out >~< Thank you again! <3

officiallahusa 2017-12-04 22:05

For me it was very frustrating to lose, because it wasn't always clear which factory caused the trouble, but the graphics were stunning

strelly 2017-12-04 22:31

@officiallahusa sorry to hear that you got frustated, a little bit of frustration is intentional, but not for not knowing which factory is the one exploding, maybe I could have sped up the animation or make it blink red or something after a time threshold. Thank you very much for your feedback <3

dj-depressive 2017-12-04 23:58

Great game with a concept that fits the theme but it felt a bit too fast and I would like to have more indication of a timer being low, like the factories growing as the timer goes lower (like if they were swelling up to explode).

soyrandom 2017-12-04 23:58

My score was 27 secs, nice game!

strelly 2017-12-05 00:02

@dj-depressive should have made them blink red when timer was lower than 3, the fast runs are intentional though. Thank you for your feedback <3

strelly 2017-12-05 00:02

@soyrandom Thank you!

kristoverek 2017-12-05 00:18

Cool game. I like the industrial theme. But for some reason it crashes after points summary screen.

corc0 2017-12-05 00:18

Can't seem to get far past 44 seconds! I really, really dig this. The pacing's great. It's like others have said - making the timers more visible would do a lot to increase playability/reduce eyestrain (even though I'm endeared to the minesweeper-y simplicity there).

Do you have an invisible factory, @strelly? I had a timer spawn but there wasn't a building with it.

strelly 2017-12-05 00:26

@kristoverek Sorry to hear that! are you playing on linux or windows? and what ram/procesor is it? I find it weird, had it running in 3 or 4 pc with different specs and never got a crash :(

strelly 2017-12-05 00:27

@corc0 there shouldn't be any invisible factory O.o Maybe this is the start of the creepypasta of the phantom factory from warning! steam workshop! (?) I'm working right now on making the timer more visible and also make them blink red when timer is less than 0. Thanks for the feedback!

mack101dog 2017-12-05 04:59

Nice game that actually had me stressing at the thought of losing! Nice!

bookworm31 2017-12-05 08:06

Very cool game; I enjoyed the sense of urgency that it had. It was just easy enough that it felt like you could definitely go just a little bit longer on your next run, and not so difficult that it felt completely unplayable. I also noticed that there was an invisible factory. Maybe something happened to one of your textures? Overall, nice job!

strelly 2017-12-05 09:54

@bookworm31 thanks for the feedback! <3 I was reading the code yesterday but didn't find the cause of the phantom factory, I'll keep trying to find it today, I'm glad you enjoyed the game <3

strelly 2017-12-05 09:55

@mack101dog thank you! <3 but please try not to stress too much that's not good for your health! :3

orcdraco 2017-12-05 14:26

First of all, great job for making and using your own engine! :) The game really fits the theme and the more factory to look for, the harder it gets. And how the factor often time place so far from each other (maybe I had bad luck with random generator :P), make it even more challenging. Well done!

strelly 2017-12-05 14:53

@orcdraco thank you for the feedback, I'm super glad that you liked the game, thanks for taking the time to play it and rate it! <3

r2d48 2017-12-05 18:11

38s on first try and 28 on the second try score nearly after 1100. Innovative concept here, refreshing, well accorded with the Theme. I am definitely looking for a fullscreen mode.

strelly 2017-12-05 18:13

@r2d48 thanks for playing! I'm glad you liked the game :3

davidvallee42 2017-12-05 20:48

Ok we have somethings here ...

the gameplay is innovative. And i realy enjoy to play at your game.

it seems to be simple to code a game like that but SDL is not a gameEngine but a graphicsEngine and there is a lot of things to do for made this game.

I watch your timelapse and i think your engine homemade is interesting. It's maybe wrong but i think its an ECS(Entity Component System).

Well done its a clean work !

Maybe try Unity or UnrealEngine in the futur

strelly 2017-12-05 21:36

@davidvallee42 yeah it's an ECS game engine, SDL2 is used as the multimedia framework, the engine itself is actualy library independent so I can swap the framework if I need to easily, good eye on that! And thanks for the feedback and for playing my game! <3 Also, I don't think I'll use unity or unreal, I prefer doing it homemade, more fun!

davidvallee42 2017-12-05 22:00

@Strelly i agree homemade is more fun ^^

appl3 2017-12-06 07:37

Starts of slow but gets intense really quick! Loved the music, really set the mood for frantic clicking.

strelly 2017-12-06 08:49

@appl3 I'm glad you liked it! <3

wizcas 2017-12-06 14:20

Last 47 seconds. Yay! A really challenging game which requires strong skills in multitask management. Well done!

strelly 2017-12-06 15:10

@wizcas thank you! Glad you liked it! <3

nikorasuchan 2017-12-07 08:13

The game is pretty challenging, though I didn't truly understand what the rules meant until I actually played it and failed instantly lol. I'll say it would help if there is any visual or audio feedback to indicate that a factory needs to be clicked on, that would be fun. Overall, A very well done game, great job with the engine.

strelly 2017-12-07 09:38

@nikorasuchan hey! thanks for the feedback! I'm actualy working on that, I'm making them blink red when the timer is below 3 and instead of numbers, I'm gonna have a bar that decreases over time, that way people don't have to read the numbers and it becomes a little bit easier to the eyes. I also included fullscreen. I'll upload it when I'm done with the bars and blinking. Thanks a lot for playing my game, and I'm glad you liked it <3

kayranis 2017-12-11 19:12

It's fun to play, and once you end a game you want to play more. It is pretty challeging and makes you want to play more. It really suits the theme. Great game! :)

strelly 2017-12-11 23:55

@kayranis thank you! I'm glad that you liked the game and that my intent to provide the players with a great sense of prid... I mean, to make them want to keep playing worked :3

jezzamon 2017-12-13 05:02

Mac build?

strelly 2017-12-14 08:29

@jezzmon sorry, never worked with a Mac and I don't really know how to build for it and wouldn't be able to test it :(
