LD26 — Minimalism

tequilaJumper by mort96 2013-05-10T09:30:00

Qwerty controls, alternative controls would have been appreciated. Game is a bit fun but the low gravity makes it too slow. Outrageously faster movements would have made it more interesting I think.

Also, link is dead, I found it there : http://mortie.tk/mort/static/webapps/tequilaJumper/

Rokhopr by David Durham 2013-04-29T13:30:00

Nice idea, i like it. Though, makes controls quite hard, a better way to know with which angle land would have been nice (like with a mini map to know where are next platforms).

Well done anyway :)

shon by bitnenfer 2013-05-01T00:48:00

Very relaxing. Fun and beautiful. Me likes it.

Hopper by AndyBumpkin 2013-04-29T12:51:00

Fun to play but moving on the left feels tedious as it goes at the same speed at the spikes. Also some situations feel a bit impossible (3 following spikes at the height of the bar).

Monoboy by jhrrsn 2013-05-01T00:01:00

Beautiful. Sad it has low fps on my computer but i enjoyed it :). And, was that a potato ?

Bug Hunting by kannas 2013-04-29T14:19:00

Looks good and quite fun to play but had to change keyboard layout to play it properly. An alternative left-right-up keys would've been nice. Good job anyway :)

beTween by Benn 2013-05-02T10:16:00

Liked it, fun gameplay, getting hard in the end but really enjoyable.

Formless Reliquary by PsenFilip 2013-05-01T01:12:00

Enjoyable but some levels can't be solved (or there are more controls than announced). That was sad :(

Root Route! by netpro2k 2013-05-03T08:59:00

Easy to get, yet challenging. I liked it :) Well done

^2 by MaxguN 2013-04-27T16:36:00

Yeah, not implemented on the current online version. It's just a quick build i made a few hours ago with construct 2 to see how it was looking.

^2 by MaxguN 2013-05-01T00:24:00

Thanks for all the feedback.

Some advices:
- you can attack with the jump (usefull for the first fall and some others afterward)
- when stuck in a wall just jump to get out or roll to the outside if possible (if stuck inside, it'll be hard to get out so you have to refresh)

And sorry for the level design, i'm kinda "not good" at it and i tend to make it hard.

Arena by rogueNoodle 2013-04-29T14:10:00

Nice, good looking, runs well and well done. Except the controls aren't easy to master, i'd rather have seen them rotated by 90°.

SquareRoot by Masadow 2013-05-01T01:23:00

Nicely done and enjoyable. I like the mechanics.

The Last Tower by MagiMaster 2013-04-29T18:37:00

Quite addictive. Fun to play but, well, i'd see it with more ennemies/features (but that wouldn't suit the theme ^^). Well done :)

Antarctic Skirmish by Meep 2013-04-29T18:52:00

Really basic rts mechanics really well implemented. Fighting the AI is challenging. Like it :)

Defender. by Tainted_Code 2013-05-01T01:05:00

Nicely done. Defended on second try after two building destroyed. I really enjoyed the retro style and the physics.

Long live the King by Lythom 2013-04-29T19:11:00

Awesome. Really nicely done :)

LD28 — You Only Get One

YOGO PATH by cesisco 2013-12-18T22:05:00

I like the graphics and the mechanics but somehow I got bored pretty quickly, so I stopped at level 2. Good job though :)

The Trials of Chad by Aaants 2013-12-18T21:58:00

I like this kind of games (it's the kind I try to make too), simple graphics, hard, fun and addictive. Finished the whole game once with all upgrades but now I wanna try to make a speedrun of it. Will see if I actually do it.

Good job anyway :)

Hospital Trash by finefin 2013-12-20T23:40:00

My finger hurts... loved it ^^

0RBITALIS by AlanZucconi 2013-12-18T22:32:00

I liked this game, kind of mesmerizing. Good job.

Do not get shot by MaxguN 2013-12-16T13:24:00

Thank you for your comments :)

@vanaficionado it's not really a cheat, you'll go up to the end of the level but you will have a "low" score ;)

@ParaPup I wanted the bullets to go fast so you have to react quickly when they're coming. By invisible you mean you experienced a bug ? Never seen bullets disappear while testing

@GameRespect thank you, that one is quite simple, vessel and bullets have the same speed ^^

UniSwarm by ChaseC 2013-12-20T23:57:00

I like the idea for this game but i also keep loosing. I lose units way too quickly when fighting, dunno why. Selection is a bit difficult.

Nent by Zolmeister 2013-12-20T20:54:00

Overall I liked your game but it feeled a bit unbalanced with the low speed of movement. Also, controls were quite hard, already two hands on the keyboard, you need a third hand to upgrade.

ANyway, overall, good job ;)

Only One Treat? by Garrick 2013-12-20T23:20:00

I like the animation and the game is fun, well done :)

Last Minute Christmas Chopping by Notch 2013-12-16T18:55:00

Short, simple, efficient. I liked it :)

LD31 — Entire Game on One Screen

Leaving by My Sweet Whomp 2014-12-10T22:21:00

Loved it. Beautiful, the characters are fun, the dialogs are fun, and a nice mood. Great job people :)

The Paper Dance by TravisChen 2014-12-11T22:02:00

A great experience, just a bit repetitve for 5 minutes but really enjoyable and beautiful. Congrats !

BEARPG by MaxguN 2014-12-08T03:45:00

Thanks for the comments :)

Concerning the controls, yeah, I'm a bit new to "platformer" controls in Unity and only used something I used for another game (and didn't prove really good either) but I didn't want to put too much time there.

@Pcholt : yeah, I didn't have time to balance the gameplay there, I too noticed it was easy to just score. In fact, the conveyors are supposed to go faster and I could have added a feature to make them change way so you can't focus only on one side. You can also use free super attacks by killing 3 or more ennemies.

The Game About Space And Bravery by Praron 2014-12-10T21:14:00

I like hard games and games trolling the player :)
Unfortunately, I think you lack lisibility, the player ship is small and with all the particles around him, you get lost way too easily

Harpoon Raccoon by mahu 2014-12-12T00:06:00

Very nice, that would me a fun multiplayer party game ;)

Beat+Trak by Lynx 2014-12-11T23:57:00

I've wanted to make a rythm game for a long time (I quite like this type of game), nice example of what can be done with the screen constraints. Difficulty seems well balanced even if sometimes you just need too much reflexes ^^ (best personnal : 4021280)
Well done for this game :)

Puzzle! by nassi 2014-12-10T21:07:00

I had fun playing your game, and it quite fits the theme ^^

Teeny Tiny Little Ball by FerraWare 2014-12-11T23:44:00

Oh, that was great. I was skeptical at first, but the more you play till the end the more you have fun. Well done :)

Core by MrSun 2014-12-10T23:21:00

Oh, a hard arcade game, great ! Loved it, congrats on making that nice game :)

SIRTET by stray 2014-12-10T21:34:00

I'm quite a fan of tetris and quite often see tetronimos everywhere, that matchs wuite well with what I like to do, I enjoyed it, congrats ^^

LD35 — Shapeshift

Shoofter by MaxguN 2016-04-18T11:26:00

Thanks for the comment oab. Don't have much time today unfortunately. I've added some targeting stuff and the shift command. I'll try to add sfx and UI in the afternoon will being outside. And tweak some gameplay tonight when I'm back home :)

LD36 — Ancient Technology

Adventure aboard the Narwhal by MaxguN 2016-08-28T10:09:00

Hey, thanks for checking out my entry :). As written in the description, the ancient technology part is in the objective of the game, which is retrieve parts to build an ancient technology item. The item in the jam version should be a sextant.

Adventure aboard the Narwhal by MaxguN 2016-08-28T11:58:00

@phantomunboxing Thanks for checking the game, and for the reminder ><. Haven't handled the out of borders collisions yet. Will do soon.

Adventure aboard the Narwhal by MaxguN 2016-08-28T17:37:00

@Ieyfo Thanks for passing by and checking the current version of the game. Just to let you know, it's still a work in progress. I'll continue developing it until Monday night. There are still lots of bugs and features missing. As for the screen size, I'm planning on adding a fullscreen feature but I haven't spent time on it yet. ;)

Adventure aboard the Narwhal by MaxguN 2016-08-28T22:12:00

@Eggplant Thanks :). Happy with what I've done so far, but I'm afraid I might not have time to add interesting features tomorrow. I already need to flesh out the content (assets and LD, and I'm really bad at both ><) and add some menus. So I'll see and do for the best ^^'

Adventure aboard the Narwhal by MaxguN 2016-08-30T12:31:00

@Green_Cafe Thanks for the feedback. I have not personally worked on the story so the time spent on it didn't impact the development ;)

Cryptoglyphics by Bogden 2016-09-03T15:52:00

Nice idea and quite good execution. I would suggest maybe give lists of games / movies to find rather than just one. With just one word and no repeating letter, I feel like the purpose of the game is defeated. I definitly had most fun on long quotes.

Also, it would be nice to have multiple alphabets across the game, so you can take notes, have an easier time and complete your notes ;)

LD37 — One room

Timéo's Lightmare by Krohomm 2016-12-18T02:18:00

Liked the mood, graphics and music/sounds. But regarding the game design, you can easily just stay in bed with no light and make the monsters disappear (alterning between the 2 spawns). Some tweaks on the behavior would be very much welcome.
Also at some point, I didn't have to footstep sound playing anymore so I couldn't know when the parents were coming.

Maggie's Grinning Soul by Diplodino 2016-12-14T01:34:00

Pretty cool game and a nice realisation. Music was really nice. I found the storyline a bit weak and the question list couldn't hold enough questions in the end, but overall a very solid entry. Well done!

Daedalight by Sundr0 2016-12-18T02:41:00

Loved it. Really cool atmosphere, good concept and nicely executed. After a few minutes, got a good sense of where I already went, so I was happy to kind of know where I was going. Didn't go to every locations though, missed the green portrait for example.

Great work, I think you can consider making a commercial version of it.

LD38 — A Small World

Protolife by icxon 2017-05-15T19:18:48Z

Quite liked your game, but damn that was hard ><. Got blocked at the 3rd level. Controls don't smooth enough. But great idea and quite good execution!

SUPER METROARIO by puppetmaster 2017-05-17T19:56:48Z

Solid entry! The quantity of content of the whole level is nice. Physics feels a bit too odd and slow, that's definitely something to tweak well to have a good feeling. I'm not used to metroidvania genre but the level design felt sometimes a bit too nasty (like when you need to try out if you need to shoot a block or just go through it and with tricks at some places ><).

But overall, great job ! And you made a game ;)

SmallRTS by MaxguN 2017-05-15T19:24:52Z

Hey @icxon, thanks for trying out my entry and thanks for the feedback. Yeah this crash is quite annoying and haven't been able to correct it yet. It's mainly caused by Kidnapping actions when you have Borders and Relations at minimum. Borders at min means they are closed and relations at min means you're hostile.

For now, there is no reason to not maximize, because I haven't had time to implement all the actions I planned to add. Things are supposed to be more subtle.

I've started working on a post jam version which mitigates the crash you had a bit but didn't get rid of it yet. It also adds infinite worlds and scoring as initially intended.

War in the Sky by ZYXer 2017-05-17T21:55:04Z

Loved it! Graphics are great, feel is great (zoom, animations), maybe a bit too much inertia when rotating? Game design could definitely be improved regarding balance between waiting time / orders given. Background music would be a nice addition (in addition to new gameplay features like upgrades, or other stuff).

Congrats for that game!

Minos' Pond by Reflextions 2017-05-15T19:58:38Z

I see there was some time and effort put in this game and that's nice, good job!

Just have to say the game's quite confusing at the beginning and takes some time to get used to. Also, is there any end? Played for some time but didn't see any end goal.

Timmy and the Snowflake by C0nst4ntin 2017-05-17T20:18:56Z

Good entry for a compo. I liked the feeling of it and definitely, the voice over intro was great (maybe add a small blank before it starts to have some time after starting the game). Physics was a bit off and slow. And also scale between the character and the blocks didn't feel right. (And yeah, the collisions are also a bit wonky)

Congrats on making a game! :)

Aliens vs Rng by Valicitor 2017-05-15T20:36:07Z

I really liked your entry. Quite clear visually and loved the humor, just sad there is not enough content to play. With some more work, I think it could be a really good and fun little game ^^. Good job!

Antnator by sachos345 2017-05-17T20:58:03Z

Fun game and very solid entry! I really liked the physics feeling, whre it's very responsive. At first maybe a bit too fast but you get used to it quickly. Would love to have the ability to jump with another key than up (space ?). Level design was not too bad, except on level 2 where it was just errr... annoyingly hard ? ><

But yeah, really good job the work put into this compo entry, and congrats for having a game done!

LD49 — Unstable

STORM HARVEST by xk_the_name 2021-10-10T09:05:16Z

Nicely done! I do have some trouble with this kind of controls be the game experience is really good with a good variety of mechanics and nice animations. The sound feedback is also quite satisfying.

Very good job on your entry!

Where the wind blows by MaxguN 2021-10-10T08:55:54Z

@nekowei Thank you for your feedback and sorry it doesn't load. I've added downloadable versions for Windows, macOS and Linux. I've only been able to test the Windows one, let me know if it works for you

Larry the Vengeful Balloon by Nick Rafalski 2021-10-09T14:38:44Z

Nice one! That was a fun experience. A cool and nice little game that works quite well and loved the SFXs

Great job!

Run my Dear by OmarMoBadr 2021-10-09T23:42:44Z

I had good fun playing your game, thank you for that

I enjoyed the "second chance" you get when falling from the treadmill. Flying as a dear, would recommend ^^

Well done on your entry!

Harmono by leon75 2021-10-17T09:57:29Z

Great concept! I really enjoyed playing through all the tracks. I must say I found it maybe a bit too easy and I didn't really have to press any black keys. I think with some more work, that would make a great rythm game!

Very good job to you, congrats for your entry :thumbsup:

STABUFO by Rrawrr 2021-10-09T19:10:02Z

That was a fun experience. It's unfortunate you don't have the victory condition done, would have loved to be able to get through the whole game. As you already know, the camera could get some tweaking, in some cases it was hard to get the right angle to get out of a blocking situation. But overall a fun concept.

Good job and well done

Unstable Employee Rabbit by JoshuaRabbit 2021-10-09T20:55:06Z

That's a fun game. I must admit I had some trouble understanding what was going on even though I read the instructions, I think the scale for the game is a bit too big and the ball goes too fast to take time to process what's happening.

I find your take on the theme very well done and overall I had fun so very well done!

Farscope by LanaLux 2021-10-09T14:32:54Z

You created a pretty cool and kinda relaxing experience. You did a good job with the graphics assets and the rendering, for a solo jam it's pretty impressive. The experience feels pretty fleshed out.

However, I think there is something missing in the gameplay loop for an even more interesting game. Either more feedback in the ship / UI to see what's happening and go more towards a contemplation game or more possible interactions with the ship / crew to have more things to do.

Anyway, you've made a great entry, congrats!

Keep It Together by Besviking 2021-10-10T00:02:56Z

Well, that was stressful but fun! ^^ Once you get the routine you can playthrough easily. Stressed but easily. I think the physics of movement can be tweaked to feel a but better but it does the job.

Good job for your game!

Treasure and Ice by KeyLime 2021-10-09T20:23:02Z

That's a fun concept . Unfortunately I played solo but I find the execution pretty good (AI aside). You did a good job

Stompin' Grounds by FloGames 2021-10-09T23:22:25Z

The feeling of the ball is pretty good, it feels really hefty and gives a good challenge to the game. I enjoyed rolling through the level.

Well done on your entry!:thumbsup:

Lucky's Table by tjm 2021-10-04T11:24:46Z

Simple and efficient, works well and I liked it:slight_smile:. I see where you integrated the theme with the tilt but I feel like it falls a bit short. I would have rather seen the table constantly moving to give a bigger twist to the game

Good job and well done!

emoceans by ty_ 2021-10-09T18:56:02Z

I love your game. The gameplay loop is very simple and effective and I really like the different effects you gave to the different emotions. The graphic style goes really well with the game too.

I would see one thing that might have made it even more interesting, making the ship start moving up and down over time or depending on the see or even also depending on the emotion.

Great job, very well done

Life's A Breeze by skooterkurt 2021-10-17T10:13:34Z

It was a great experience. Indeed soothing but in a way I also found it stressful but that's on me, my inner competitor wanted to fill all 3 bars to the max and it's clearly not the goal. I really enjoyed seeing that flower grow and tending to its needs. I would have prefered for the weather effects to be less present when not active (I guess not enough time ) to not have the sound of rain and wind at all times.

Great entry and well done on your game

self degradation universe by d094 2021-10-09T21:22:06Z

Interaction is always weirdly satisfying xD. I didn't keep popping objects too long but the feedback with SFX was fun . I hope you learned stuff during your first ludum and that it'll be useful for the next ones

Congrats for your entry

LD55 — Summoning

Alien Crab in the Extamaze by jebouin 2024-04-21T17:12:55Z

Your game works really well and I find it nicely polished for a jam game, well done! I had a lot of fun with the slimes ^^ (I admit I cheated a bit :-°). Congrats on your entry!

Runic Distractions by 1y1e 2024-04-28T22:25:11Z

Hahaha loved it, didn't expect the invocation but it was purrfect ;) Loved the mechanics for the invocation, not too hard yet a bit of a challenge with the timer ticking in the background. Thank you for the game and congrats on your entry!

I am a wizard and my shoulder hurts by monika 2024-04-19T13:07:10Z

My shoulder hurts

^^

Congrats for your entry, I enjoyed my time playing it, it's a fun experience exploring for the various endings ;) I played through the web player, and it got me more curious about the PlayDate ^^

Thanks for your game :)

gladiatorium by Jejkobb 2024-04-18T16:09:10Z

The concept works very well, great job!

The game gives a polished experience and is very enjoyable. Perfect game to grind some highscore ^^

Very well done to the team and congratulations for your entry

A Long Hello by gamebuilder 2024-04-25T13:42:45Z

I love the mood, having to create a mental map was fun and I enjoyed the time I spent to get to the end. It was fun to see the result of the tools you used to created the visuals. Thanks for the experience and congrats on your entry!

Eye for Mischief by Vyolfers 2024-04-19T12:24:08Z

Very fun and cute, loved playing your game. Congrats for your entry!

Raising the Bread by ZuhairGhias 2024-04-19T16:05:24Z

Congrats on your entry, I liked playing it! The characters are fun, and the visuals work well with the vibe of your game. Thank you for the experience ^^

Resurrection Bar by TwoE 2024-04-18T08:15:22Z

Congrats on completing you entry! I had some fun playing your game  I like the bar concept! I felt like orders are a bit tedious to complete: using the ouija board is an interesting concept but I think I would have made it faster to get to it, like clicking directly on customers for exemple.

I think I had a bug with the chanting action, I couldn't complete it on the circle even though I didn't have anything in my hands.

Edit: Btw, you can disable the audio category in voting as you don't have sound in your game (that I could hear at least), so that you're not rated in this category

Good work on your game!

Demon Sealer by OwlyCode 2024-04-25T10:16:49Z

Demon sealed!

Now that voiceline keeps looping in my head ^^ Nice work, fun game, the art works well and the music and sound design too! I enjoyed my time playing it :). I found the controls a bit tricky at time and switched back and forth between keyboard and controller depending on the level. Congrats for your cool entry!

Beastkeeper by Starlex3000 2024-04-23T13:57:03Z

I enjoyed my time playing your game :) The gameplay is fun and you've set a nice mood there. I really liked your voxel style and the music gives a nice vibe. Congrats for your entry!

Time for Pie! by isayneigh 2024-04-18T09:01:13Z

Congrats on completing an entry!

I enjoyed my time playing your game, and reminded me all the time I've spent on Cook, Serve, Delicious ^^. I achieved to summon a pie on second try, and that's all I needed!

I agree with the feedback about dpad and clicking , and I'll add the loud audio level even though it's very common on jam entries ^^

I hope you enjoyed your time making it, you did good!

SummonInn by Daxic 2024-04-19T14:49:55Z

Very interesting game with a good length and a polished feel. I enjoyed my time playing it. Congrats for your entry!

Summon Surprise by Paroxysmal 2024-04-19T15:48:50Z

That's a very nice little, cute and efficient puzzle platformer. The levels are fun and interesting. Took me some time to figure out green and blue but ended up making it ^^

Congrats for your entry and thanks for that experience :)

Mathemagical Sum-moning Battle! by DaSquid 2024-04-21T16:53:06Z

Fun concept, good way to work on your mental arithmetic, glad I could achieve impossible ^^. Would have been fun to mix it up with other arithmetic operations too. Congrats on your fun entry :)

HEXX by andrewkennedy 2024-04-18T09:48:49Z

Awesome entry! The design is simple and elegant, I can easily imagine different boards that can enable interesting moves. The feel is good and polished enough. It could also be played as an abstract boardgame ^^

Congrats for your entry!

Mammon & Sons by HexStart 2024-04-18T22:33:00Z

Very nice game, I enjoyed playing for some time to get to the all 5-star review. Took some time but got there eventualy. Took some extra time to keep moving the workers away from the summoning circles as they tend to slip in there by themselves and I took care of grabbing them out of the circles as then also dropped directly into another one sometimes, which was quite frustrating.

The art is very solid for this kind of experience and I really enjoyed it overall. Good job to the team and congrats for the game!

Hell's Company by Himiko Morena 2024-05-02T16:55:45Z

Had quite some fun playing your game, I was halfway through the night when I forgot to turn off the screen while waiting for a request ><. The boss walk SFX definitely reminded me when I was late at night on the computer as a teenager and hearing some noise in the house x). Great work! Would definitely benefit from some polish and tweaking for a playthrough to not be so long ;).

Congrats for your entry!

HellWard by Feynallein 2024-04-23T13:45:23Z

That was fun! I like the vibe, I feel it could be even more metal by syncing the attack landing on your shield (or not) with the music ^^. A solid entry, congrats!

Démon Puzzle Attack by Roroto Sic 2024-04-19T08:57:56Z

I loved playing you game! Match-3s are my jam and I had a similar concept in mind at some point. It also reminds me of peglin :)

Very well done on your solid entry, I had fun and the experience feels quite polished. Congrats!

Demon's Tower by Planetary 2024-04-28T22:54:17Z

I loved it! I've got a thing for arcady games like that, plus you have a meta progression, it feels polished enough for a jam, really well done! Would love to play a full version of this!

I also have to +1 the previous comment, definitely some UX improvements to make but that's already a solid experience.

Thank you for the game and congrats on your entry!

The Rise of Copil by rainbeau 2024-04-18T08:34:49Z

Congrats on your entry! I enjoyed playing through twice to try different summons. I love the visual style overall though I found it hard at some point to understand the levels with what I was flying over. Overall I think the main improvement possible would be action readability, I didn't understand when I was hit nor if I was efficient against other creatures.

The voiceover hads a fun touch that I liked, and thank you for the audio settings! (Left them as is, worked well for me )

Good work to you all, I hope you enjoyed your time making it

No more summoning! by Anthonny 2024-04-21T16:39:51Z

I like the concept and had fun playing your game :) I find the visuals nice and coherent, it works really well. I would have loved a more complete gameplay experience but its already a very cool slice of a game. Congrats on your entry!

A Hell Of A Hole Garden by MarinePLB 2024-04-19T08:13:12Z

I love the art and vibe. The SFX gets a bit repetitive when the garden gets crowded and I couln't find how to get to grow a rose :(. However, I enjoyed my time playing your game, very well done to you, you did a good job! Congrats for your game :)
