My favorite by far :D cute voxel graphics, very interesting concept. Really like that you can instant tame and summen enemys mid fight. And the summoning combinations where fun and fast. Only thing missing would be a desummen all creatures so you dont need to do that every time, but thats mor QoL. Even the showcase of the map actions was very nice done! you even got chests to loot, i can see this in a bigger scope be really fun
Im not sure what to do in the game. There is no enemy and I am stuck at the room with 4 doors. The art is really cute tho
Loved the idea of sumonning creatures the way you call for stratagems in helldivers. And the mood is very nice!
@triplecubes sadly sometime when you walk through the door for some reason the enemy is not spawned please try again they should spawn.

Great game, I do really love the art style and the camera shots showing the door unlocking process from the other side of the dungeon. The Animals are really cute and the game even has a "boss"-fight at the end. Real fun to play :) and surprisingly long.
I really like the concept here, the music is super chill and awesome too! You've made so much level and so many mechanics in such a short nice, wow!

I really like your summoning mechanic.
Graphically our games are similar. Did you also use MagicaVoxel for your models?
@vodzik Thank you! No, we used Voxedit for our models, because it has more export options and an animator. But in comparison to magicavoxel (We used it for another game, https://alexstarzengruber.itch.io/contraband-chase) the user experience is way worse. Which program did you use for animation?

Nice take on summoning theme with Helldiver summoning mechanism. I had first little bit of resolution problem when playing on LDjam site. On fullscreen UI was too big and I thought game soft locked on first introduction that had button to press. this button was hidden. And in window mode it was little bit too big. On itch it worked fine.
@denvil that's odd... the UI seems to work fine for us so unfortunately we're finding it difficult to troubleshoot. What browser were you playing on and with what aspect ratio? Appreciate the feedback though! :)

It's an interesting concept, I've had a good time playing it. Good job!
I finished it ! That game was so cool ! the exp system, the invocation system, the soundfx, i just would like to see it grow to play it more !
Loved the Zelda-esque dungeon design, especially the doors unlocking animations was very nostalgic. Movement and beast following was too slow and painful, though. The graphics were cute and the music was okay, but I think a less lighthearted and more dungeon-y tune would do better. Also the game would benefit from having checkpoints. It's frustrating to start from the very beginning when you're almost at the end because your beasts move too slow or get stuck on top of the door. Also a way to get more mana would make the game easier to play. Good job!
@andriybyelikov Thank you for the Feedback. There is already a way in the game to get more Mana. When you walk up to a chest it opens and you can collect violet mana orbs.
@redwolf-entertainment Sorry, I didn't explain myself properly. What I meant is that the mana you get from the chests is not enough. A mana regeneration mechanic would be a nice to have, when your summon dies, you recover their mana, for example.
@andriybyelikov no, you explained yourself properly... redwolf is just lost. You can always refill your mana-bar by collecting your beasts again. If you know that, the game is much easier. We should have explained that in the tutorial. Thanks for playing and the honest criticism.
This was fantastic! The summoning mechanics were innovative and original, the dungeon design, while simple, felt rewarding, and the music was very chill. Awesome job!
@skyler-newsome Thank you so much!
@starlex3000 Okay, I replayed the game and based on your comment I discovered that you can desummon the beasts by holding space + inputting the beast's combo again. It really makes a difference, I could recover mana to summon stronger creatures and I didn't have to wait for my beasts to follow me. It took me less than five minutes to beat the game knowing this hidden mechanic. You should add that you can and how to desummon the beasts and that it restores mana, both to the ldjam.com page and the itch.io page controls. It will definitely improve your ratings. I wonder how many people played the game without knowing this...
@andriybyelikov thanks, added it

@larazofia that may be on my side as I am using Samsung G9 with 5120 x 1440 resolution.
@denvil no problem, we can exchange monitors, I have a normal one with a 16:9 aspect ratio for you. :sweat_smile:
My bunnuy trapped me in this door and I got stuck D: I did play it enough to get the gameplay though and I thought the summoning mechanic was interesting. I wasn't expecting the pattern to update when I reloaded the game, so it's cool if those are randomly generated. I like the character art a lot, and the zoom-ins on the doors unlocking felt very classic. Overall, nice job, I do wish the creatures were a bit faster Screenshot (80).png
@andriybyelikov thanks for the feedback, the tutorial already explains how to desummon beasts if you play past the first boss room. The only thing missing is the explanation on how mana regeneration works, we've made a note to add that in :thumbsup:
@emiliabea thank you :) Yes, the key combinations are randomly generated ^^ desummoning your bunny would probably get you out the door, and their speed increases with their level. The beasts weren't really programmed with the intention of having them follow you around outside of battle, hence the inconvenience concerning speed and mana regeneration. Judging from some feedback though, a lot of people like the idea of letting them follow the player, so we're thinking of tweaking that feature a little bit.

great little game! i think the only things i would like to see changed is the key combination to return your monsters. maybe that was there and i didn't see? And the animations for doors opening... while great, takes a long time!
great entry, hope to see more by you
@blues thank you! The key combination to return the monsters is the same as the one used to summon them ^^ it was mentioned in the last step of the tutorial but maybe that wasn't quite clear enough, sorry!

first off, huge kudos for not only getting the game to work right on the LD page, but ALSO for including a super easy to follow in-game tutorial - those two things alone get skipped often in jams due to timing, but they make the gameplay experience so much more enjoyable. this game was a blast! it felt pretty darn complete for a jam game. I can definitely see a good strategy/resource management game being born from this.

I enjoyed my time playing your game :) The gameplay is fun and you've set a nice mood there. I really liked your voxel style and the music gives a nice vibe. Congrats for your entry!
This game is among personal favorites in LD55. Both in-game voxel art and the art of beast icons are adorable. The cutscenes with camera movements to signify the points of interest are a nice touch. Certain minor bugs such as some text are unreadable behind objects and navigational problems involving beast are totally acceptable for a jam game. Excellent job!
