Was a lot of fun to try out different builds and progress! I also really liked the retro style and the overall mood of the game. The movement and gameplay is also very satisfying.
Otherwise, the only things I would say is that the flying visual effect along with the mana orbs visual effects don't really fit with the other visuals. Also, I think it would be more intuitive to be able to switch summons using the mouse wheel instead of Q/E. Also some of the levels don't give you much of a chance to comprehend what the level looks like before you die.
Really minor easy fix things. Meaning good game!

Wow graphics look good. The menu screen feels like a full game not a jam game. Voiceover(OMG) Great to have that. Thanks. Superb animation. I don't get how I am attacking enemies though. I unlocked and summoned multiple beetles but I don't understand when exactly they are attacking. I think health bar on the enemy would been better. I could get refill my health. Environments looks awesome. I want to explore more as I go through. I am keeping the game for future play. :smirk:
Great to be able to run on linux with wine. Liked the feel of controlling copil. It felt a bit unintuitive to be moving down at the beginning of the game. I liked the idea of game, but by the end of the game with the wasp, I seemed to be winning without knowing what I was doing... of course that seems to be part of the benefit of the wasp that they can attack on their own. The beetle was the hardest, in fact I ended up spawning locusts to help attack. The locust was the most fun to play with.
Really high level stuff here. Great production skills, nice one.

Very cool game! First some things to improve: I had trouble understanding that part of the mana gauge is "reserved" when you summon a creature, and only the rest can be recharged, it feels a bit strange as once you have spent everything you don't have much to do until one of your summon die. Also having the whole tutorial as big text at the beginning is always hard to follow, as the player don't know anything about the game yet. The wheel to choose what creature to spawn felt unnecessary, just clicking/pressing a button for each creature would make easier to use more than one kind. The game become suddenly super hard at one point where 4 creatures of a new kind rush to you and you die immediately. Having the mana gauge being able to kill you is always not very intuitive. Now for the good, the art is gorgeous, there is a good amount of content and options so that's pretty impressive. The music and sound are great. I like how each of the summon has a different gameplay and I tested all of them in about 5 runs, the bees are the best I think. Anyway, thank you for the game, it's a pretty good one, keep up the good work!

Really cool take on the Summoning theme!
The game was fun; I really liked the upgrade paths, and the different builds you could take. The VO component was great, and really helped with immersion. The graphics of ascending the tower was awesome, especially the perspective shifting as you flew away from the spire; very, very inspiring stuff in a pixel art game.
Enemies aggro-ing you immediately felt a bit unfair at times: especially the bigger scarab enemies charging at you. It would be nice to have a few seconds to get your bearings before combat started each level.
Overall, I enjoyed this game, and am enamored by the theme you chose. Thanks for sharing this with us!

Cute little game. I especially liked the atmosphere, as if I had returned to my childhood during the first 3d games. I liked the voice acting. Special thanks for the sound settings, at the start the game does not try to stun you, it's a pity not all developers have time to set up the games this way)

Congrats on your entry! I enjoyed playing through twice to try different summons. I love the visual style overall though I found it hard at some point to understand the levels with what I was flying over. Overall I think the main improvement possible would be action readability, I didn't understand when I was hit nor if I was efficient against other creatures.
The voiceover hads a fun touch that I liked, and thank you for the audio settings! (Left them as is, worked well for me )
Good work to you all, I hope you enjoyed your time making it

Very cool art style, I like the use of pixel shader on top of 3D. The gameplay is also fun but it the game balance is a little broken. It becomes far too easy after completing one of the ability trees. The final boss just kind of gets deleted before the fight even starts. Great game overall though!
A fun game with room for player experimentation. Very nice!

I like that you took the time to implement different builds! I played through twice, first with the wasps and second with the locusts. The summon cap removal upgrade feels op haha. I do wish there were either a bit more enemies or that the player wouldn't get teleported to the next room once enemies are defeated, it feels a bit jarring. Overall great job!

This was awesome! I impressed that you folks were able to get a tutorial and full voice acting for characters!
The main feedback I can think of is that there were a lot of moments where I died before I even knew what was happening. This happened a lot in the later levels where I would spawn in and immediately get charged by giant beetles. It felt impossible to react to those rooms the first time encountering them, and having to restart the entire run is pretty punishing. I would suggest redesigning those rooms or giving the player multiple lives so it's less punishing.
Good job! This was the most polished game I've played so far!

I got "Ascended" final screen on the big boss, without any flavour text, is this the end or did I mess up?
Anyways, this was probably the biggest question during gameplay: it was sometimes hard to judge if I can fly over some gap or not (plus if I died because of that or not), and being always low on mana because of many summons didn't help :D
It is a very well-rounded experience, it felt... Coherent? Unified? Like you had in mind some world with lore and mood and all that, and sticked to it. And it shows, thank you very much for the experience! Was nice trying out different builds (and last one, with wasps, turned out the best for me).

What a great idea you had, very interesting how you used the jam theme! The game is great! The audio is excellent, incredible that you guys have come up with everything in such a short time, Excellent job!
Awesome game, was good fun. I thought the art, music and voice overs were a great touch that added to the overall feel of the game. I found the summons to be a bit random in their movements and actions, but other than that well done!
