piece of art

fun take on a marble game. Seeing the little bridges hop with the shockwaves made me wish there were other physic objects. I think it would be cool to have to dodge boxes, or roll through ball pits! Also an audio cue when the shockwaves happened would nice, so that i could anticipate and respond to it without needing to see it!

Short and sweet. Had no troubles.

Fun and short 😁 I love a balancy/marble game like this. The level was fun and the ball moved nicely. I played with gampad and the camera moved a little fast but other than that good effort! well done

Cool style and simple to understand! Felt a little bit like monkey ball!

Hello. Simple gameplay, but very well done. It fits with the theme. I like marble-madness and roll-a-ball games - yours is pleasant. I appreciated that hammers apply some force to our ball - it increases game's difficulty. You should add some background music. The controls work well as expected - especially the camera and physics are efficient. Seriously, if you improve the graphics, you could do something very cool with this first release. I did not expect anything when I tested your project, but finally I had fun playing. A good entry ++

Funy game. Liked playing it. It took me a few rounds to get the thrill of the controls, but than I really wanted to get to the finish line. Thanks for this fun game :)

Cool and simple game. I needed some time to get the hang of it but it was still funny to play

Fun game and the controls were implemented well. I only think it should be a little longer.

I like when the ball rolls

OK, a nice and clean theme interpretation in a nice little game. Controls are fluid. Of course some sound would do wonders here. The camera follow movement sometimes does some flickering - this can have some reasons, like moving non physics objects on FixedUpdate(). You could also try to set ball Rigidbody to use collision on Continuous Dynamic and set Interpolate.

@ltyrosine Thanks for the help, I'll look into the jittering problem! I already wondered what caused it.

maxgun 2021-10-09 23:22

The feeling of the ball is pretty good, it feels really hefty and gives a good challenge to the game. I enjoyed rolling through the level.

Well done on your entry!:thumbsup:

A nice solid entry! I liked the level layout and having to figure out the timing of the stomps. I'd play more if there were more levels available. Nice job!

joeshanahan 2021-10-11 18:05

I loved Marble Madness as a kid, so seeing a version with a more physics take was cool! My only real complaint is I wish there was more of it!

I've uploaded a recording of my playthrough that you can see here at 00:00:

I like the game idea, it reminds me of ballance from the oldie days

saucygames 2021-10-12 04:49

fun monkey ball vibes

flogames 2021-10-12 10:25

@joeshanahan cool, thanks for the video!

zimny11 2021-10-13 22:14

Nice game. I wish there was more level. Was it inspired by a game called Ballace by any chance? I appreciated checkpoints :) Good job!

itshornunicorn 2021-10-16 19:25

Agree with @rookrules. Rimind our good old Ballance game. At all it feels good but I noticed some mistiming between speed of the ball and it's rotation speed. Feels kinda weird. Nice entry!

ryjcio 2021-10-19 20:10

It's fun! But it's way too short :(

Very nice game! Featured it in the finale of my let's-play-series: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4AwL0uxK5SI
