Kind of weird, but I don't see how this relates to ancient technology.

Hey, thanks for checking out my entry :). As written in the description, the ancient technology part is in the objective of the game, which is retrieve parts to build an ancient technology item. The item in the jam version should be a sextant.
I found a major bug. I was able to go into the white space...
@phantomunboxing Thanks for checking the game, and for the reminder ><. Haven't handled the out of borders collisions yet. Will do soon.
Love the idea you had going just was poorly executed and the screen was smal :3
@Ieyfo Thanks for passing by and checking the current version of the game. Just to let you know, it's still a work in progress. I'll continue developing it until Monday night. There are still lots of bugs and features missing. As for the screen size, I'm planning on adding a fullscreen feature but I haven't spent time on it yet. ;)
Interesting submission. A good start, being a work in progress. I look forward to seeing the final product. :)
@Eggplant Thanks :). Happy with what I've done so far, but I'm afraid I might not have time to add interesting features tomorrow. I already need to flesh out the content (assets and LD, and I'm really bad at both ><) and add some menus. So I'll see and do for the best ^^'
Obviously, a work in progress (as is almost every other submission) but is interesting none the less. I like the story behind the game but I think you may have spent too much time on that compared to features and unintentional issues.
@Green_Cafe Thanks for the feedback. I have not personally worked on the story so the time spent on it didn't impact the development ;)
An interesting concept and nice narrative experience, but I think some more tiles and sound would have added to it, and perhaps making the beacons disappear when you've opened them.
I like the riddles and actually found a few difficult. The beacons should have some way of locating them other than roaming around at random, as it gets a bit tedious. Adding the last part to the puzzle is also confusing as there appeared to be no open spots and only got it after a lot of guesses. Sound is definitely needed for this kind of game.
The riddles were fun, sailing was easy but a little monotonous. Music would have helped as well as a bit of landscape. LOVED the character profiles.
Very interesting story! I included it in my compilation video series of Ludum Dare 36, if you’d like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/Ym4iAq-_TIg
