cool
Really great game, loved the artwork and aesthetic. Gameplay was simple but rewarding, good job.
Cool game, it's great to see puzzle games in LD. This one seems well thought out, with some interesting strategies and choices available.
Nice work!
So well done, very clean and polished in many aspects well done
Very neat puzzle to approach and solve, interface was pretty clean and the graphics/sound worked well for it. Figuring out clever strategies and then realizing that there's no way to totally stem the tide of fire is very thematic!
A very nice game! I only lasted 15 turns. Couldn't figure how exactly fire spreads, i.e. does it spread randomly, does it spread from burning non-forest tiles, etc. Nice art and sounds, simple but fitting. Great job!

@lisyarus Thanks for the feedback ! It has a chance to spread from burning tiles. The more adjacent tiles are burning, the more chance a tile has to be set on fire. Hope it helps.
Fun game, easy to pick up and perfect to the theme. In the end I lost all hope, threw a bucket at the volcano and gave up :') Great submission!
Fun game. I enjoyed playing it.
Nicely made UI and interaction with the map. I definitely got the feeling that my efforts were futile pretty early on. I didn't feel any motivation to continue trying though, so I gave up at around 15 rounds. Feels like it just needs something to hook the player into continuing despite the inevitable end
Great submission though! Thanks!
Great game! Plenty of interesting choices to make and I found myself spending heaps of time each turn weighing up all my options. Managed to get a score of 14 turns (I hope that's good haha). Overall really well done!
Really neat game! I included it in my Ludum Dare compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/PKNtuuCFWt0
this has to be one of the most engaging games ive tested today. the mechanics work so well toghether, fits with theme so well. the fact that the water is so powerfull but expensive atst so you cant abuse it, the chainsaw being a high risk high reward of loosing a forest but avoiding major fires. really well done.
Really clever idea, well executed. Great interpretation of the theme.
A surprisingly neat game. the graphics and audio are rather decent, but the design was actually really clever, the way the game forces the player to eventually lose without putting on any real "hard" limits was quite creative: first the fire, then the burned forests being harder to replant, eventually the craters made by the volcano. It fits the theme perfectly.
Really great game, feels like the right balance of mechanics and thigns to do (not too many, not to few). Looks and plays good! Would love to have some background music to acompany that chainsaw.
Smart idea! Best attempt was 14, like other I had hard time with how the fire is spreading. I love the style and even more the menu (My favorite is the chainsaw). Well done !
Fun game, fits the theme very well, fun art style, some strategic planning involved. Really enjoyed it, nice work!
Interesting :) I see you've made a cool game! Good job! :)
I like the drawings they are so so loving. At first I thought this was about florest devastation, which would also make sense. I see lots of narrative potential in this game in a future version of this.
Neat game, I made it to turn 29 before the forest inevitably burned down. Well Done!
19 turns of bravery :) Thanks for that, that was a fun game! Cool idea for a mechanic and well executed. Simple/intuitive to pick up but deep to play. Can see myself playing another few rounds trying to beat my score.
The theme/symbols you've chosen perfectly describe the mechanics. For example it's intuitive that fire will spread to neighboring forest tiles, but not clear ground. It doesn't have to be explained, one can just pick it up and play. The interplay between the 3 tools is great and I think the cost balancing is spot on. Do you play a lot of board games by any chance? :)
All in all the mechanic feels super polished, like there's been a decent amount of thought/iteration put in. Great entry, would be proud to have made something like this.
EDIT: I see you've added an arrow showing where the fire will spread to your post-compo version. My 2c: I think the fire spreading to a random neighbouring tile is better. It adds a push-your-luck element, sometimes you might want to take a chance and rather spend your coins elsewhere
Really engaging and interesting gameplay. The mechanics are very polished (well, as the whole game really, great job for a COMPO!), ti felt like you knew exactly how to code puzzles and the balance was perfect, very good game design! Fun, the art was nice too, especially the UI parts. Solid entry!
