epic game, really hard sometimes but the good kind of frustration! well done! Good game

Gods Will Be Watching by Deconstructeam 2013-05-03T13:52:00

I love the survival theme!

Very fun, very frustrating, making it addictive! :)

Rocket Ruins by TiDitto 2013-05-03T13:33:00

Lots of fun! Need to stop playing now, so I can rate some other games... but I can't :P

Brilliant! Well done!!

Who cares minimalism? by bukt 2013-05-04T11:43:00

It's kinda difficult to know what beats what, but I do think there's something there.
Also wasn't fond of the separate battle screen, that could have just happened on the same screen you roll on.
Also found the main menu very pretty :)

Potato or Big Minta Bronson: A Vegetable Love Story by Just_delete_it 2013-04-29T08:35:00

Unique, slightly disturbing... nice job :D

Sunset Death by DrGeraud 2013-05-04T14:52:00

Really great artwork there man! I didn't enjoy the mechanic that much, but good job on making something.
I didn't understand why you could back dash but then not slash again.

Tokyo Minimaley Land by junt74 2013-05-03T13:38:00

Confused the hell out of me :P Nice job

Ludum lupus by Yozz 2013-04-29T08:21:00

That does have a very cool atmosphere, nice work!

RGBA by RetroEpic 2013-05-06T07:29:00

Hey guys and gals,

Thanks for all the great comments and all the great crits!

@Elrobo: We'll definitely have the option in future versions.

@intripoon, @NateNaterson: Thanks! We did drop the ball slightly at the 11th hour by forgetting to include the tutorial level in the final build, the web player does have it though.

@bowlercaptain, @BarrensZepplin: Unfortunately we didn't have time to add the victory condition, basically it's when you have unlocked all the platforms with totems on them. We will also be adding a bit more in the way of menus, options, etc. ie. front-end, in a future release.

@lorancou, @OrangeeZ: We do need a smoother difficulty curve, for sure!

@zkenshin: Colour changing crosshair was actually in the plan, but it got lost in the chaos! I'm sure we'll add it in later though ;)

@angelk, @Zed, @Orni, @someone, @fysx, @Ray_Mickelino, @MinionStudios, @DaanVanYperen, @Sylvain.p, @GranaDa, @lightsoda: Thanks for all the compliments! We really want to take this idea further, add more of the crazier ideas we had and make it a well rounded experience.

Again guys and gals, thanks so much for all the positive C&C, it is so awesome to have our brief labour of love received so well by our peers, it definitely stokes our fires and we hope to take the mechanics of RGBA as far as it deserves!

Thanks!

Escape from the Tower by Luxorix 2013-05-03T13:20:00

Very fun game.

Gears by stray_train 2013-05-04T14:45:00

Unfortunately I couldn't figure out how to play, the interface was really confusing and there wasn't feed back when I was clicking on things so wasn't sure what else to do.

Minimum RPG by jovoc 2013-04-29T08:25:00

Those blocks look so cooool! I wanna physically pick them up! :) I would also like a download link.

Mustache Armies by TurboDindon 2013-05-05T14:29:00

couldn't play the game because of missing MSVCR71.dll
unfortunate.

Minimalistic Dota Clone (+ Osmos) by Finn Stokes 2013-05-03T13:09:00

Can't get onto a game... waiting for a connection :(

Shoot (AAA_FPS_GOTY) by quill18 2013-05-04T15:03:00

pretty darn funny! pitch shifted voices are awesome!
Well done on getting it out in such a short amount of time.

LD27 — 10 Seconds

Dungeon Deadline by Orni 2013-08-27T12:43:00

This is a cool idea! I don't like the time limitation on it though, seems like the game will play better without the restriction on the time. Otherwise, looks and plays awesomely.
Good job

Timespunkers by BNeutral 2013-08-27T09:55:00

super fun, amazing graphics, good effort for 72 hours. I don't think there was enough contrast in what was a platform and the background. Good job.

Kendog by Koga SilverDragon 2013-08-27T09:29:00

menu looked amazing, but the gameplay is lacking, wasn't sure where the challenge lies because I spam spacebar and win everytime.

Fat-Guy-In-A-Batman-Costume-Man Rises by sev_inf 2013-08-27T09:27:00

The mechanic wasn't obvious, the graphics are funny.

SliP by Sakuyan 2013-08-27T09:02:00

very cool graphic style, love the snappiness of the controls brings back memories of older platforming games, really enjoyed the into the blob control mechanic.

Clocked In by rylgh 2013-08-27T08:59:00

Brilliant! freeking awesome, super fun. Simple and elegant, got not critique. I really like the bobble effect when you hit an obstacle. well done.

10 Seconds to Save the World by HacksawUnit 2013-08-27T10:16:00

really need to have jumping grace time in platforming. Otherwise I felt it was kinda disappointed that nothing happens after you get the world, I was expecting somekind of feedback, but after collecting the world nothing happens.
I like the smallness of the window it has some charm to it.

Digital Run by guilhermescosta 2013-08-27T10:21:00

I didn't like the sensitivity of the mouse and felt that the strafing was a bit slow in comparison to the forward walking speed. The audio was a turn off for me, maybe give audio options to mute the sound, I just turned my volume off. Didn't find it was very challenging. Good effort and I applaud your attempt at doing 3d for a jam, it's very tricky.

Kougeki by ResonantCraft 2013-08-27T10:47:00

Fantastic little game man. It is a little shallow as you mentioned but it's still great. I think you guys did well on your graphic style and the mechanic is simple and intuitive, it's easy to place things and change unit modes. Good going!
Also the audio for me was top notch!

Haraka by gikdew 2013-08-27T08:43:00

The controls were not very responsive, I think it could benefit from some more post grace on the jumping, the simplicity is pretty cool.

Routine decisions (in 10 seconds) by Yozz 2013-08-27T13:37:00

This is a really cool little game, funniest game I've played so far. Cool re playability.

Total Spaghettification by unusualcadence 2013-08-27T09:49:00

cool mechanic, awesome music, cool puzzles, just needs some way of stopping your character wandering off to the start of a level if you make a mistake.

Defusing Emily by ydg 2013-08-27T13:17:00

Simple idea well done. I think it's lacking some feedback when you miss a bomb, and when bombs count all the way down to 0 there should be some visual feedback like camera shake or explosions or anything really. Good job!

MegaPunch by Nick Weihs 2013-08-28T08:22:00

amazing results, well done. Seemed there's an issue where you can't kill dudes when they occupy the same spot. Did you guys think of maybe adding projectiles and blocking? maybe in version 2 :)

Fireworks by Schulles 2013-08-27T08:48:00

Haha that was funny man! good job! 1 aspect I think that could be improved is unifying the color pallet, but I do like how the yellow signs contrast the darker value of the stage.
good job :)

Hurry UP! by Sense 2013-08-28T07:21:00

very cool character, not sure about how the 10 second theme is integrated here because it starts with more than 10 seconds and you can keep adding time. The graphics are awesome though.

Summer Death Olympics by bufbot 2013-08-27T13:41:00

not very fun single player, I think it would be better if there were different rhythms you had to tap instead of just left right the whole time. maybe the first 10 meters it's lr then it's llrr, then llrllrr something like that could be more interesting

Death Dodgers by zequack 2013-08-27T08:27:00

Really liked the use of colors, gameplay was pretty fun and controls responded decently but could probably do with some tweaking, for my liking anyway. Good job!

LEGACY by DanHayesGamer 2013-08-27T08:52:00

I felt that the controls were frustrating and floaty, I was expecting to have more nimble controls but then had very slow movements. It could also be more interesting opening up the range of motion, so rotating left and right. Otherwise you nailed the water effect!

The Duellists by jay griffin 2013-08-27T08:55:00

That was pretty fun! good suspense building as you waiting to shoot! I'd say maybe look at adding movement like ducking jumping, could add a lot of challenge, moving target.

Candyland by tlasol 2013-08-27T10:06:00

Interesting Idea. I liked the swinging of the sword mechanic, I didn't like that the art style was mixed, I think it could have been stronger if you didn't overlay textures on the pixel art, and also felt that the round portal zone thing didn't fit in the grass style. There's also no explanation or tutorial showing how to use your abilities or controls so felt frustrated trying to figure out what buttons to push to use skills.

Phosphorus by hoyt hoy 2013-08-27T10:00:00

felt that the controls were a little floaty, the animation sliding might have exaggerated that, maybe look into speeding the animations FPS up to match the movement speed. Also felt her gravity was a little weak. I liked the use of darkness and the match stick :) Great work on the graphics.

10 Seconds Before Flush by Geeks-n-chicks 2013-08-27T09:32:00

The theme is pretty nasty, but the game is quite interesting and challenging. Reminds me of 90s era PC platformers.

Kept feeling that jump and fire keys were swapped though.

Bob Won't Be Late by TeamBob 2013-08-27T09:18:00

I think the controls are really hard, the isometric doesn't lend itself well to the time pressure. That being said the graphical style is awesome.

Inversion Boy by chippers 2013-08-27T10:11:00

very cool mood. Must have post jump grace in platforming! otherwise very cool effect of the black and white, quite challenging when it flips, also felt the gravity could be tweaked to be heavier.

Placeholder by teamenschede 2013-08-27T10:47:00

Great game, interesting approach to strategy - destroying your own building is a nice touch. Beacon is essential!!

10 Second Tactics by Schwiggy 2013-08-27T09:52:00

Cool idea, would probably work very well in mobile.

Found the camera control a bit finicky, would have liked to see more of the level at once.

Overall: Cool :)

10 Sec Hero by StabAlarash 2013-08-27T13:21:00

I didn't quite understand the instructions and so when I tried killing the guys by smashing buttons I died at the 2nd fight, maybe a bug?

LD29 — Beneath the Surface

The world beneath by Spotline 2014-05-12T08:30:00

Controls felt really floaty, and the mouse didn't lock to the screen. otherwise I'm not sure what I was supposed to do, the win condition wasn't obvious.

emilion by Helopol 2014-04-30T12:07:00

Really nice work! Very surreal

Get Beneath The Surface by rujo 2014-05-12T08:20:00

This was super fun! Good job, with some polish this could become something really rad.
Just need to work on your colour harmonies, otherwise controls felt super tight.

0x1D by bitnenfer 2014-04-30T06:09:00

What a novel idea! Very cool and a lot of fun to play. I do agree that the interface and variable switching stuff needs to be made a lot more intuitive, and "jumpCount" sounds a but like its tracking number of jumps - I only realized later that this was for double jumping.
What if you had a resource of some kind that you could collect in the level that allowed you to assign larger values to your variables? So you could only do that double jump, or switch to enough negative gravity once you'd collected X ram chips or whatever?
Anyway, great stuff!

PORTHOLE by Ragzouken 2014-05-05T15:44:00

Absolutely incredible in terms of mood and overall feel, really well done! You've inspired me to try a more analogue art approach for my next LD :D

Deep Sea by admung 2014-04-30T08:25:00

I really enjoyed the mood and audio on this one, and those particle effects are awesome! Could definitely do with a bit more depth (he he) though.

Rude Bear Revengeance by Alex Rose 2014-05-01T08:05:00

Wow, what a crazy and awesome game. It's amazing that those mechanics all work together so well despite mixing so many different kinds of movement. Nice work!

Infinite Island by Andrew Adams 2014-04-30T08:28:00

Really cool idea and a lot of fun to play, but the movement could definitely use work. I ended up accidentally scooting into lava way too many times. This could be a really fun, multiple quick sessions kinda game.

Hostile Planet by rezoner 2014-05-12T08:09:00

I didn't like that I was looking at the top left number instead of looking at your awesome art.

Deep Descent by sirdorius 2014-04-29T12:11:00

Cool! after killing all the monsters on the surface I didn't know what to do after that, how to get monsters below me.

AHH LAVA! by Dreii 2014-05-08T07:22:00

Really fun concept, sort of like a vertical Bomberman! I would quite like to see this with everything sped up a little - player movement and the speed at which blocks fall. Nice work!

Submarine (treasure hunting) by reidrac 2014-04-29T11:55:00

Cool pixel style, really liked the mines. Felt the movement could have done with some acceleration.

An old man and space by BuKaneerz 2014-04-30T08:33:00

I LOVE the art style you've gone for here - really appealing environment. It was a bit confusing to work out though, and the movement felt sticky at times. Really lovely on the whole though.

Digable Planet by Oddly Shaped Pixels 2014-04-29T12:03:00

This was awesome, I didn't know how to keep from dying because I had towers and sometimes the people would walk past my buildings and be fine and others not. So wasn't totally sure on what to do. Nice art style and audio was great!

Beneath Colossal by Liens 2014-05-12T07:27:00

Wow, really incredible mood! Nice work!

No Eyes Willy by blockbot 2014-05-12T07:14:00

Really interesting graphical style, and a fun game to boot!

Beneath The Surface by adamwoolridge 2014-05-08T20:11:00

Holy crap, that last level!
This is a lot of fun, and I love how at first the mechanics seemed very straightforward, but later on you realize certain things about how best to play (like how to rotate properly instead of struggling against the wrong axis).
Great entry!

Blocky Dungeon by Tuska 2014-04-29T11:52:00

I felt that it was too difficult to time the attack, wasn't sure if it read on the click or for a duration through the attack animation.

Infection by InfectionTeam 2014-05-04T09:11:00

Really awesome entry, a huge amount of fun!

Scratch Quest by Andre Odendaal 2014-04-30T08:24:00

Very cool idea! But I wasn't really sure what my progress was with the battle.

LD30 — Connected Worlds

Heart Star by AdventureIslands 2014-08-29T11:53:00

Really interesting and satisfying puzzles. Nicely done!

Neon Highway by francoisvn 2014-08-28T20:17:00

Really awesome and challenging gameplay, and a novel concept. Well done!

John and the Arbitrary Gem Hunt by SteveSalmond 2014-09-02T16:05:00

Really beautiful mood and visuals, well done! I thought it could've been more fun by having some kind of enemy or obstacle to watch out for, and the climbing and physics felt a bit off. All the same, I'd love to play this some more in a more complete version. Nice one!

Ports Ahoy! The Age of Trade by Literal Games 2014-09-06T07:18:00

Really awesome game! My one crit would be that the popup confirmations tend to get a bit invasive - it might be better to do something like build this into the route dragging, so that the cost of sending the particular ship shows at your cursor position and updates as you drag.
Nice work!

ERB by Romko Pidstryhach 2014-09-02T15:55:00

Well done. Felt really good playing this. I can see a lot of room for expansion on this. Good job.

Sol by pikkpoiss 2014-08-29T15:44:00

Surprisingly engaging. I liked it quite a bit.

This Little Piggy... by InfectionTeam 2014-08-28T08:11:00

Really amazing work guys! I had a lot of fun being surprised :)

LD31 — Entire Game on One Screen

Raptor Polo by Bensonance 2014-12-09T19:36:00

So cool! Would love to try this out 2v2! :D

Vibrant City by Anshul Goyal 2014-12-11T19:20:00

Really enjoyable game! It was sometimes difficult to work out which angles I was allowed to shoot at, and the buildings' relative heights. But great otherwise :)

Wavy Jumps by Mefteg 2014-12-09T15:11:00

Really good. Simple, elegant and well executed.

Velvet Warrior by local minimum 2014-12-09T15:48:00

Ha! I could walk on the top of the screen. :P I like the idea of scaling the terrain this way, could make for some interesting angled shooting.

PixelFighterZ by Rothens 2014-12-09T15:43:00

Interesting. I like the formations you grow into :)

Bugged Out by InfectionTeam 2014-12-11T19:41:00

A very literal interpretation of the theme - love it! Amazing work guys.

Cubical Cube by Sutivu 2014-12-09T15:26:00

Really liked this one. Could work on some of the feedback and making the rules for moving more clear, but I enjoyed playing it a lot. Well done!

pkill by GGraca 2014-12-09T15:51:00

Wow! This was unexpectedly cool. I like the idea of combining frantic action with what is essentially a typing tutor. Nice!
