Not really a game, but a touching story about a married couple and the idea of love throughout different stages in life. I enjoyed the story, though I was maybe expecting a little more on the visual side because it said "visual novel" in the description.

This was a pretty visual novel. I really liked the songs too :) Life lessons, niiiice!

I like that you used Ren'Py. But the lack of interaction turned me off. "Something grew inside us... It was our self-actualization"?

Maybe visual novels aren't my thing.

sparewizard 2015-12-15 06:34

Wow, the theme was two button controls, not one!

All jokes aside, a neat little story about how life and love are, in a word, growth.

warboys 2015-12-15 11:20

Nice message, although I don't know if I agree with the self-actualization and bodies comment :P

It seems like this couple is extremely unlucky and people are quite devious wherever this is set. They have so many criminal interactions!

Nice story game. Kind of depressing though.

adamsmccall 2015-12-15 12:28

Wow, that was deep.
One of the closest to the theme actually.

Its a good game, if your into reading, but personally it needs some sort of gameplay

superpokeunicorn 2015-12-16 01:44

What a lovely story. Visual novels aren't usually my thing, but this was pretty good. I could really tell that this was coming from a personal place, which made it authentic. The background music was also lovely. Good job!

To answer your question about my game, the controls aren't delayed, but rather jumping/shooting are based on when you release the button, since holding the button does something else.

madmenproductions 2015-12-16 02:39

It lacks interactivity, I can't call this a game but rather a experimental novel. Concerning the story, I like it but the writing of the story could use some work and the logic behind it could use some tweaking.

Interesting visual novel, but I wish the visuals were better! The silhouette gets a little bit boring after a while; it was more of a wall of text. I think that you should make the story a little bit more realistic, more interactive, and less verbose. The interface was very good though, and I hope that you keep working on this and I'm sure you can make it into something really great!

The mood is really good ! Nice story

diebackstudios 2015-12-17 12:01

good message and yea user interaction should be included :) overall cool visual novel

caryoscelus 2015-12-18 16:25

Hmm, this isn't really a VN. Kinetic Novel at best.

Apart from that, the idea could be interesting, but the actual story is pretty weak in my opinion.

fullmontis 2015-12-18 17:38

A nice kinetic novel. The song was great and it fitted the mood. I think the message it gave was deep but I felt the narration was a little dense, meaning it was expressing many informations in a few phrases, which made it more difficult to digest. Also the text was a little too small for confortable reading, but maybe that's just because I am short sighted :)

I really enjoyed it, thanks.

rd127p77 2015-12-18 23:41

Good story, with music to fit the mood.

nunesbarbosa 2015-12-19 02:37

Jeeesus.. is this a game or a book? I was really hoping you could make a decision or take some action.

Was the theme growth or two buttons? Looks like a random entry.

hyperscope 2015-12-20 00:54

Admittedly this type of "game" is not my cup of teas as it were but I found this "game" if I can truly call it that rather uneventful. And like some other commenters mentioned visual novel description in the game page left a lot to be desired.

volkoivan 2015-12-25 04:13

If really I understood that this is a girl on the picture, but not the plant only when launched it :)
Also I don't really understand why is this an "visual novel", if there are almost no interaction and interacrtivity? Although, I liked the music and the whole idea of not making a game is actually brave!

kardfogu 2016-01-04 20:49

Well, this one totally nailed growing! It was fun, it looked good and it has one hell of a perfect mood!
Even as it somewhat missed the gameplay part, I don't feel like it would be a mistake.
Keep up the good work!

Interesting game. I included it in my Ludum Dare 34 compilation video series, if you’d like to check it out :) https://youtu.be/MR4ln4T3mFk
