Pretty fun, interesting "style" haha. Had a good laugh. Kinda difficult as well which I like :).

Seems like a lot of fun! Does freeze here though when I shoot or get shot a little into the game. (Mac, Safari 6.newest)
Too bad windows only, can see some good responses here!
Alright game, controls were a little off here on Mac. Played well though, good job!
Thanks! Did you manage to complete the game? :D
Oh wow guys! Thanks for the feedback. I will be upgrading my collision detection in the engine for the next time I'll use it and add a second tier pixel perfect collision detection to prevent further problems with it.
I simply didn't feel like adding sound or music, so I guess that was a little silly of me since it's usually just part of a game. I didn't really think about that so I'll definitely add that next time.
Thanks for all the nice and constructive responses, I'll surely join in again the next time!
Good game! Alot of fun, pretty difficult as well!
Had some fun with this game! I rode a dragon today!
Beautifully executed game, enjoyed it very much!
I loved this game. One of my favorites so far. The music is astounding! Only downfall for me was that I had to read your description instead of the game introducing me to some of the mechanics. Loved it nonetheless!

Do you have Twitter or something?
Fun game! Nice FX on all sides, kept me entertained for quite some time!
Hahahaha I finished in 69 seconds. Great fun, good job!
I had a blast! Loved the work and art that went into this. Very good and fun game!
Kinda fun! Didn't get any scores though, so maybe I did something wrong (or I missed something in the explanation).
Kinda fun! But didn't work exactly right here on my Mac (no scores).
Doesn't start here (Mac OSX 10.8.2 ML). Too bad, would've loved a RTS!
Ah yeah I tend to make my games a bit too vague, and that would've worked if it was more polished.
Quick guide: Top of the starting map is your exit. On the main map there's a big gray building, go stand on that. The rest should be quite decently guided. And I like games that aren't as clear on the instructions and force you to think and be creative a bit ;-), so that's what I tend to make. Should've put a warning sticker on it! :dog:
Thanks for the comment @simone !
Thanks @gilborn !
Fantastic game, well done. Lovely graphics, plays very fluently, absolute great stuff.
Game looked fun! Played nicely, not conclusively for sure but thought I saw that the llama would slow down as you got closer to the mouse? Was this intentional?
The collision detection could've been a bit better, but it was good enough for the job so far and it's always hard to get just right.
Nice job! Are you on Twitter by any chance? We could share some ideas maybe and learn a thing or two from eachother.
Looks great! well done in so little time. Plays pretty good honestly, controls felt quite natural and the little slide and hanging animations helped for me to get decent platforming control.
Nicely done!
Holy shit, what an amazing job! Great art, beautiful music; especially on the 5th upgrade with maximum graphical detail upgrades. The screenshake really made it hard, and I couldn't upgrade the scarecrow anymore. I think I've honestly played this for 20 minutes easily to finish it.
Great job. Absolutely fantastic game, love your art style. We should work together sometime.
Amazing atmosphere. From the start, you gave me that "Journey" feel. Great game in that sense. Art style works beautifully, love what you did with the fading of the characters.
Real talk here; game does feel kinda slow, like without a real purpose. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it denied me from enjoying the game a bit longer and more. I'm sorry to say I didn't complete the game.
@fashionbatman Absolutely understand your artistic decision to slow the game down to implement that storm. For us rushed game devs, it was a tad too slow; but I understand and love why you did it.
Wow, what a fantastic game. So cool to see this style of game again, audio and graphics were excellent, gameplay is fun and works pretty well. I think the one thing that felt a bit off are the look/move controls, but it works great and runs like a dream.
Fantastic job, great game!
Thank you so much!
@bobotast What an amazing story. Thanks for sharing!
And appreciate all the comments lads! Lovely to see, including the feedback on what to improve!
Thanks @cethin I will take that into consideration, fantastic feedback it is really appreciated.
@twinturbodouche I have no plans for now, but if you have ideas or would like to see certain things; I'd be happy to hear about those ideas. I wonder why you ask it! The game engine behind it will receive plenty of love.
@pfeyffer @kuviman Oh yes, I'm aware of that bug. It's a problem with the engine honestly as of now.
@pfeyffer What would you like to see on the controls improvement? More smooth animation? Cause right now I chose for this "wonky" 8 options of degrees animation on the character for artistic reasons.
Got it @pfeyffer Thanks for your feedback. Did you notice the slowdown when you picked up a kill and walked with it?
But disregarding that, good feedback; I'll keep it in mind to give my character some more "mass" I guess, to make it feel like a being in the world it inhabits. Thank you.
@someoneman Thanks for the feedback, this response was the one I was most worried about. You're right, and I knew it. I'm sorry; I hope the game was fun to play besides that!
@inventivum-games Press E on mom to win.
@bocodillo Thank you, that means so much. Art isn't my strong suit and I'm happy people appreciate that work.
@kazatan Haha, we didn't eat polar bears; wolves attacked us. But I like your interpretation. Thanks for your comment and for playing the game!
Thank you @ryzy27 - how far did you get into the game? The bear bar is stamina, the other is hunger.
My bad, there was no E indicator on mom indeed; hoped most people would figure that out. Mom randomly wandered off before my initial update, a tip from a viewer was to change that so mom actively searched for you too. Hope that explains it a bit! Thanks for playing!
The controls were a bit weird at the start for me, but once I got the hang of it it actually played pretty nicely. Point'n'click style. The sound freaked me out when I heard it for the first, so I guess that's a great mood setter for the rest of the game. The art style is really interesting, very creatively done! Big points for that. Good job!
Great little game, wonderfully well guided with the appearing text. I kinda got lost at some points where as it took me a while to figure out what to do, but that's the challenge in these games!
The music was alright, but got a bit repetitive after a few minutes in the game indeed. Not bad, and a great game overall!
Fun little game, I didn't fully read the description to keep any surprises real, but I thought by myself it would be a good start to rummage for a bit next to the shop. Love how big you made the town feel, unfortunately didn't get to that sweet sweet passive income. Good game nonetheless!
What an interesting take on a word making game. Your collission detection was amazing and I loved how the game fluidly moved; brilliantly done.
Personally found it a tad hard to "actively" make words that made sense and would be recognized, but I understand how difficult that must've been to make. So I'd say good job, excellent game; really creative!
The picture on the screenshot instantly drew me to this game; so I just had to play it. Loved the art style, fun little take on the theme and just played beautifully in general. Controls are great and it's a good challenge. Tutorial could explain that you must fly into the purple things to make them explode, but other then that; good challening game with a fun style! Good job!
Great art, music was alright to keep running for a bit. Fun little puzzle game, not always the most logical trades but really interesting take on the game. Masterfully done! Great job!
Awww yes, first to play. Dude, your art is amazing. Music was catchy, great start.
Here's the actual feedback, I do not intend to hurt your feelings; it's my experience.
So I noticed that collission detection is taking your player of its axis; it moves faster than the viewport. This makes picking up the ingredients very hard. I managed to pick up some flowers and a few honeypots; but I couldn't pick up the stuff coming from the trees cause my character was out of place I think.
I really, really, loved your art style. Please talk to me when you want to join another Ludum Dare. I'm not joking. https://twitter.com/Bjeaurn
Lovely art style, nice music! Simple game, quite relaxing vibe.
I wasn't sure if the game was over after I got all 3 items, so I ran around to make sure I didn't miss anything anywhere; so I just guessed there was one level and it was nice. Great simple game, lovely job on completing it!
What an incredibly creative idea! Well done, I played it on WebGL first; saw how interesting the game was, and it lagged a bit when new characters where spawned or the shop opened. So I downloaded the Mac version so I could also do highscores; still lagged when new characters were added or the shop opened; but ran smooth after. Great game! Easily sunk 10 minutes into this!
What an interesting take on a game! Quite addictive! The twats that spawned that would put back blocks really annoyed me haha.
I think there is a small bug where if you're on the complete right side of the level, you see some changes on the left side; even one of the twats that places blocks back did it, but no biggy! Plays nicely, interesting style; loved the bright colors. Good job!
Fantastic way to community the purpose of the game. Instantly knew I could fool the first alien and take him away from the "egg" to bring it to my power station. Well done game, audio FX helped dearly!
Tried the game in the browser, didn't really run smooth in fullscreen but on smaller resolution it ran alright. Fun little take on a zombie survival; great implementation of the physics; movement and all felt really smooth if you account for the lag. Tried interacting with some furniture or trying to take away the way up on the roof; but then a zombie spawned next to me. Unlucky, haha. Good game!
Amazing art style, music was calming. The initial controls were a tad wonky, but I saw you made it so you can change em in the settings; nice touch! Didn't feel like it, but I noticed on a second playthrough that the levels were semi-random generated; good job!
Good effort, nice little game. Great art style I want to say again.
What a lovely art style, interesting take on the theme too haha. The first few dialogs actually really drew me into the game and story you were telling. But after a marathon coding session, I'm a tad burnt myself so I didn't read all of it after a few long dialogs.
I got stuck in the construction worker asking for a drink, so I'm afraid that's where I stopped for this time. Great game style, loved it! Good job on completing!
Actually, I played it one more time. Finished it this time. Lovely, well done. Great art style, just enough sound effects to keep it poppin. Good storytelling, well done. Screenshot 2019-10-06 at 22.33.42.png
Hmm game does't work on web I think? Black screen after the two intro texts - no buttons or whatever work. The Windows version runs amazingly, nice!
Love the art style, good music and click noise too. I love the sheep when you click em a bit too much ;-). Great game, good fun. Well done!
Fun game, saw some sprite issues that made it a bit buggy at times, but nothing too game breaking.
Intestering take on the gather/craft game genre, funnily done and plays smoothly! The getting heavier and losing the ability to walk was hilarious. Good job!
WOW! I saw your blogpost and your art instantly connected with me. A deckbuilder, what a brilliant idea.
Of course, as a developer; I tested your game; I tried misclicking but it always returned to me and kept me in shape.
This game, is fantastic. I actually love it. I'm still playing it.
What a great job, this is a brilliant compo entry and a possible winner in my book. Please keep adding on to this game after the LD ends. I'll see if I can beat it now.
Amazing what one can make in 48 hours, great job. I love how you've released for all platforms! I used the Web version, which didn't run too smooth. The inversed mouse was a tad difficult for me too; but I love the idea of your game and how far you could take it in 48 hours, great job!
What a creative interpretation. Amazing amount of work went into this game. Loved the audio, helped with knowing when a person got killed or "found a female", haha. Got a tad dark but I'd say accurate. Easily put 5 minutes into the game. Plays superbly, didn't notice any bugs. Well done.
Very interesting idea! I'm not sure if it's the marathon coding of today, but I found the speed a tad frustrating to get right, so couldn't past the first dungeon. Maybe it's speed differs per machine/browser? Anyway, real creative way and quite interesting; I tried to beat the level for at least 10 times before I gave up.
Art style is very nice, comical. I didn't know it's a single keyboard multiplayer game when I downloaded it, so maybe useful to put that up in the text.
Game ran beautifully, as more game devs will know; I did not have anyone else around to ask to join me in this game; but I tried out all the moves and it worked beautifully. Good game, good submission, well done.
Wow, amazing that you could get a 3D game out of the ground like that. As @tmullet said; I wasn't exactly sure what to do or how it all worked. I did find that Q and E rotate the camera and I was blown away by that.
I'm sure you can take this game a bit further in the JAM if you would want to. The art looks great enough for a simple game.
The physics are really impressive. For a HTML5 game, you've done a great job. I loved the interactions with the different controls as they unlocked. Game was easy to understand, controls are quite intuitive too. In the level where it got "ridiculous", it was actually hard to control the machine. But enjoyed the game very much.
Easily spent 5-10 minutes playing. Good job!
Very well done, plays smoothly. I didn't really get how I would be able to get stone or metal; so I couldn't really build anything. Didn't survive the first night, but I managed to upgrade to my spear twice; not sure if that did anything.
Good job, could've been fleshed out a bit more but that's to be expected for 48 hours!
Game loaded fine for me, easy catchy tune. Art looked fine and the game played like a breeze. I liked how the controls were explained on the intro screen. Well done.
Lovely game, well done for such a short amount of time. Loved that you managed to make it 3D. Had a bit of a hard time finding the axe. I was trying to open up the houses and the things laying around the houses, but to no avail. Good job!
Lovely little game, I see what you mean with buggy; mainly the camera/map were a tad glitchy. But the movement and controls were great and very responsive. I found myself managing 4 trees and running to get more water fairly quickly. Great little enjoyable game. Good job!
OH MY GOD. What a great game! I was like, what's going on here. I unlocked the first stage, and then the controls kicked in.
I was actually laughing and screaming; this is genius! I didn't know where to look. Especially the last addition where I had to use my mouse again. WTF!
Great game, well done; played out smoothly on the browser and just worked fine. Most controls were easy to pickup without any explanation. Absolute fantastic job for 24 hours.
Fun game, ran well on Web too. Fun take on some sort of a tower defense/tower builder. Fighting was a tad weird with only 4 directions to face; but it worked out pretty well in this game!
Graphics are excellent, loved the art style. The audio is good too, music got a tad repetitive but nothing annoying or weird! Good game and great effort!
Brilliant little game, good feel and atmosphere with the art style and audio. I have taken the tumble a few times (hilarious :joy: ), bit of a story would've made this game complete! Good job so far and good luck on your next one!
That was super fun! Nice take on the theme, controls felt natural most of the time and I could what I wanted as I got the pieces together. Great little paths you could take to get to some interesting levels. Good job for your first time!
Fantastic little challenging game. A great take on the puzzle genre, lovely art style too. You did a great job with building an actually challenging game with a good few puzzles. Well done!
This game is incredibly hard, but super fun! I laughed so hard on the intro. Then I got into the actual game, easy controls; I spammed "speed upgrade" for a few rounds to stay away from them, but then I noticed you need to use the water tile to slow them down too.
I got to 2 or 3 upgrades in the end before they got me.
I L O V E D how you made the infinite desert impossible to go to, cause they just are way faster then you there. Well done.
Absolute great game, loved it. Easily spent 5 minutes playing.
Lovely idea, well executed for a first try! Nice dude!
If you don't mind me giving a few pointers, not to hurt any feelings but to keep in mind for further versions: - The whole selling of plants is a little vague to me, didn't really understand when I could make money with selling plants. - Sometimes I couldn't plant, even though I had money. Maybe I was doing something weird, who knows... - It would be nice to be able to reset the game from within the game, without refreshing the page. It's fine for now but maybe for another time!
Well done again on your first completion! Big victory!
Mede Nederlander! ;-)
Yeah download link is 404, sorry buddy! Hope you can get it to work again, game looks interesting!
Game played nicely, music was fun and worked well with the game. Game was nice and simple, fun enough to keep me engaged and also put up a bit of a challenge as it sped up. Well done, nice entry!
Fun idea, very hard to find your way through the maze tho. Also interesting that you cannot see any stats from the enemy so you just have to base your moves on how much hp you've lost in an attack. Haven't really used the "defend" option at all, but it's an interesting idea for a game!
Well done!
Totally agree, it was a bit rushed and I didn't invest in any polishing like audio, cuter animations etcetera. Would've been nice to do if I had a bit more energy to spend at the end.
This was a fun game! Lovely done. Easy mechanics, nice progression. I like that my dash got blocked by a unit that was in the way. Always nice to see a bullet hell, good score from me!
Lovely idea! A strategy game in LD is something I'd like to see way more off! Although the strategy idea could've been a bit more balanced to make it more interesting and challenging, I feel the base was pretty good. Some obvious polishing would help make it a bit more easier to understand which land you are and how the fights are progressing. But it was fun!
