Nice graphics! I think pressing down would have been better key for picking up and dropping stuff. Also the character slides around a lot, making it easy to accidentally hurt yourself when you try to kill creatures.

Looks great! well done in so little time. Plays pretty good honestly, controls felt quite natural and the little slide and hanging animations helped for me to get decent platforming control.

The platformer feel was really good but wish some more time had been put into making the enemies or the goal more interesting. Still excellent effort for a jam overall!
Nice little game, I would have like a different control scheme though, that one was really tough to get used to.
The graphics look solid, and the platforming has a surprising amount of mechanics built into it climbing, walljumping, it's all there; though I will say playing 2d platformers with a keyboard has never felt good to me, but that's on my end not yours. My main criticism is that you can only carry one monster at a time, so either you juggle enemies back to the boss by tossing them (which feels less like an intended mechanic and more like an exploit) or you run back and forth endlessly. In addition the hitboxes on some of the enemies feel insanely generous (though the hitbox on your sword is pretty beefy too) so they aren't anywhere close to where the pixels are.
All in all a solid entry :heart:

It looks very good, the controls are very tight and satisfying (except for this strange decision to not put the jump on UP, I will never understand that). I liked it!
The combat is where it's lacking a bit though. The enemies don't get knocked back when I hit them (and obviously they don't really attack but I assume that's because of time constraint) and it feels a little annoying.
The suggestion I would make would be to scale up the rhythm. Right now the demon's hunger rises so slowly and the sacrifices give so little return that I felt I could as well have waited. Maybe make the hunger start from 0%, grow much faster but the sacrifices actually give you a meaningful 10 to 20% recess ?
Small nitpick : the small slime enemies are the most annoying thing to see!
@eclahn Thank you for your feedback! I found a bug that was causing all monsters to just give 1 hunger point! I fixed it and re-uploaded again. Now you can win the game :)
The game is really pretty, and it feels great to move around ! I found the controls a bit confusing (i kept trying to jump with up instead of z). I wish the starting area was a bit safer, I often lost health in the first seconds of the game. Overall, it's a fun game to play, congrats !
