Amazing what one can make in 48 hours, great job. I love how you've released for all platforms! I used the Web version, which didn't run too smooth. The inversed mouse was a tad difficult for me too; but I love the idea of your game and how far you could take it in 48 hours, great job!

@bjeaurn Thanks!

Beautiful graphics, but unfortunately I too was greatly affected by the inverted y-axis; it made the game feel much clunkier than I think it would have been otherwise. I can see that you've opted in to the audio category, but I couldn't hear any audio from the game, so I left the rating blank.

I had some problems defeating the soldiers but that's my bad skill. You should also make the sky brighter instead of pitch black to make it feel more like outdoors. Goodluck !

I felt some motion sickness while playing the game, though that might just be me. However, I like the 3D environment you created.

I really like the graphics and atmosphere! General mechanics are quite impressive for a 48h game. However just like @bjeaurn, I have a very hard time with the inverted Y axis. Also, I don't manage to kill the soldiers, I got the first guard couple of times and then with the gun I could not kill any more guards. Is that just intended to be very difficult or is there a specific way to go? Is that also intended that some guards just one shot me?

It lacks a few fundamentals of all FPS games. Inverted camera controls with mouse is a big no, you should use click to attack or shoot instead of E, and I really miss a cross hair to aim and understand my character hit boxes. I am pretty sure there is a lot more into this game, but unfortunately I couldn't get pass the first few enemies.

Nice environment!

Many people have already said this, but the inverted Y axis is truly such a thorn in the side. I also think my turning was restricted to my browser window, which made things even more unplayable. Thankfully this wasn't an issue in the windows build.

Feedback on getting hit and dealing damage was sorely lacking.

The key to restart the game is E. Since this is also the key to shoot, I ended up immediately restarting on one occasion and being confused as to what happened.

Still, the shaders are lovely and I think you have a good mood going.

Inverted controls (with no way to change them!) is a bold choice. Unfortunately, it this case, I don't think it pays off.

Sound is such an integral element of so many stealth games that the total lack of audio in this one is a pity.

The general visual appearance of the game is good. The foggy environment lends credibility to the idea of such short-sighted guards ;)

The quality of models, lighting, and animation is in general rather high, given the time constraints you were under.

The objective wasn't clear to me so I was unable to finish the game.

I don't really get how to kill the soldiers. I try to punch them but my arms seem a bit too short. Some sort of impact sound would be nice, or blood particles so I know I'm doing something. The inverted Y-axis made me feel confused. The lighting is cozy

hare-software 2019-10-09 21:01

The inverted Y-axis is probably a key thing that holds back my enjoyment for this game. Also the lack of sound (on my end at least) makes the game feel like it's not responding to my actings. Graphics are fine and idea is actually really good for this theme. Keep trying and working hard and you will get there!

I like the mood and the visual style. The inverted Y is making it not-fun for me though, and would really prefer to interact/attack with left click instead of E.

good for solo 3d game)

Cool with a FPS in the compo =) Unfortunately I get very motion sick from many FPS games, especially those that float very smooth and glides forward so I could only play a few rounds. A bit unconventional to hit/fire with E so I had to go out and read the instructions again. Visually, I think the background should have been gray so it would blend in with the fog - I think that could have given it a really mystic feel.

space-wumpus 2019-10-12 14:21

Negatives: Rotation bug*, Inverted Y axis, no sound, no aiming crosshair. Positives: Nice atmosphere, models, and concept. *You can only rotate though a certain angle, then it won't let you move any more. I guess that the invisible mouse is being clipped to the edge of the screen, and so limits your rotation.

Good overall entry for a compo. It has its little flaws here and there, but I'm sure it can be improved with some minor fixies given the feedback in the comments. Good job!

Congradulations :D

But yeah, good concept, but here's what needs improvement here:

- Soldiers don't shoot until they face you, making it possible to circle-strafe them. - Shadow distance is too small in some areas (especially the end-game room). Suggest changing it under the Quality Settings in the project settings. - Maximum number of pixel lights is too small (also under Quality Settings), leading to some weird lighting seams and flickering lights. - For the effect you want, I'd suggest Aura or Hx Volumetric Lights (from the Asset Store). The global fog would be better w/ volumetric lighting. - No jump (why not?) - Ground badly needs texturing of some sort. It's hard to tell how fast you are moving in some places because everything is solid green underneath you. - The arm animations are... well, they are strange. It feels like I am playing a cow. Which is, you know... Heck if I ended up with a cow arm animation, I'd just be like "alright we're doing this. Player is a cow" and work that into the story. - Mouse cursor is hidden, but not locked, making it difficult to turn, even in full screen (the mouse just hits the edge of the screen and you can't turn any more, or it goes out of the window and you click outside the browser in non-fullscreen mode)
