LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Square Exit by LeReveur 2015-12-20T03:19:00

I like how you took the one level and really added a lot of depth to it!

Heinsenberg by ncannasse 2015-12-16T20:48:00

Wow, awesome, perfectly executed story! I love how you integrated the images to achieve the mood.

Very interesting idea, and awesome art. If any improvement could be made, it would probably be with the controls. Good work!

ZORC by Andrew Deem 2015-12-18T01:54:00

I really like the detail you put into the sound. I was pleased to be met with harmony rather than discord when pressing two buttons simultaneously (: Having to go to the menu so often was a bit tedious, but it was definitely a creative take on the two-button theme.

Oh yeah, and love the name. Z or C, very clever!

V BALL by longloaf 2015-12-19T20:33:00

I like how natural the controls felt once I understood what they did. Excellent work on the physics!

Fortress Hunt by Funske 2015-12-20T03:12:00

Good job on the music! Different tiered enemies could probably have used different sprites, even if just palette swaps. Very creative on getting a platformer to work on just two buttons!

Ortogonalis by pjimmy 2015-12-19T20:56:00

Good implementation of a difficulty curve. Definitely felt like a good ol' classic arcade game.

bat story by maunovaha 2015-12-16T00:07:00

Beautiful art, cool flying mechanic too!

Go On by Sean 2015-12-18T02:12:00

A very nice metaphor! Amazing how so much can be said with something so simple.

Fading Light by Null DIES 2015-12-19T20:18:00

Was not very intuitive at first, but once I understood that taking light meant ungrowing a plant and giving light meant growing a plant, the gameplay became clear. Very nicely done, looks like it took a ton of work!

Iai Strike! by DeepBlueJeer 2015-12-16T01:13:00

The proximity mechanic was very creative. Well done! Would have been even better if I could figure out what the special attack did, though.

The End Of Radio by Cake_Catastrophe 2015-12-19T20:48:00

Absolutely amazing for a game made in 48 hours! Your interpretation of the growing theme was creative as well.

Got a score of 840. Let's see if anyone can beat that ^^

Loved that intro XD

Neat concept! I liked the part where we had a choice of which path to go, but it would have been more interesting if like one of the paths had like a trap or something.

Circle Strafe by yokcos700 2015-12-19T20:23:00

The graphics are nice! Perhaps the audio could have benefited from being more than a beat, but good detail was put into how it interacts with the game.

Choo Choo by Madball 2015-12-19T16:29:00

A very solid use of the theme. The game could probably have benefited from having better visuals at intersections, but overall a very well-rounded, intuitive game that, as you surmised, doesn't need any explaining.
