LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

Text-Gen Platformer by agentparsec 2018-04-23T03:17:14Z

This was really neat. Initially I had a problem because I typed "run" and it asked me which direction so I typed "right". I kinda interpreted it as it was asking me a separate command but then I realized it wanted the whole phrase. Really well done!

Poker-Man : Arcade + Poker by lavwa 2018-04-23T04:20:32Z

Wow! The graphics are really impressive, you must have put a lot of hard work into this! Amazing work! Kinda hard to keep track of everything because I have to look to the side to see what cards they have and then possibly run over while looking ^^' I might just be a little ditsy though

Spacecards by Literally Void 2018-04-23T02:40:05Z

Enemies that 'move' super slowly in the background seem to just stall and not move. It'd be more intense and fun if they moved faster.

Rhythmobots Defence by Evannex 2018-04-23T04:57:57Z

Love the voxel art! I don't think the shields quite go in time with the beat, but I won't judge because I've never made a rhythm game before :) I love the music though, nice work!

Deck Cutters: Hearth of the Cards by Steve Sparkes 2018-04-23T04:52:04Z

I love the voxel looking art. It's really nice and simple. The mechanics are easy enough but make for really interesting gameplay. Good work!

Gone Fishin by fenwick 2018-04-23T05:06:29Z

Wow I love the pixel art, and it was a very classic arcade experience I agree. Which was why I was bad at it  Great work!

The Place by KRP 2018-04-23T04:00:35Z

The art style and level work is really good. The flashlight felt a little awkward at first but other than that really good! The puzzles were nice too.

TPS: Top Person Shooter by JustMars 2018-04-23T03:28:23Z

Wow! This was so cool! I really liked not only the base mechanic of switching modes but the way you had to puzzle through having a line of sight with your enemy. The third level threw me off in a good way, nice work!

Space Restaurant by SecretC 2018-04-26T19:31:37Z

There could definitely be some polish here, the UI feels too small and is kinda hard to see and discern what's what. But the idea is certainly unique and really cool!

Sleeping Titanium by Poorwill 2018-04-23T03:51:17Z

Wowwww I really love the art style for this game!! And the game is so simple yet it has the lure of both idle and 3 match games. Lovely work!

Skies and Cubes by RAFFE 2018-04-23T03:33:04Z

Wow I really liked the music and art :0 the jumping feels a little too slidy while on the ground (I slid into spikes several times) and my long nails accidentally hit the Q button...but other than that the 2D and 3D mode are super cool!! 3D mode definitely through me for a loop haha

Dungeon Solitaire by Lex 2018-04-26T19:19:32Z

Man this is hard! The way the cards affect certain rooms and trying to make sure you don't play a card that would make it impossible to do that room is interesting! Good job!

Dog Jam by Teapoly 2018-04-23T03:01:10Z

It was very cute and I found myself immersed after the first few turns, it was fun to play! I really enjoyed the mechanics. I'm not sure what the symbols for the 3 stats on the top right meant though...

Slime Garden by Flameo326 2018-04-23T00:57:35Z

I love how vast the level is, and while grinding seems too slow at first it also seems a little too fast later when u start killing white and black slimes. I love the changing color with levels and movement feels smooth, nice work. I wish I could see more visuals for being damaged and dealing damage, enemy health bars would be nice too, or maybe changing color or saturation based on available heath.

A Daily Struggle by Dakota Jones 2018-04-23T16:13:16Z

@JavaSaurus Yeah, I think it's really hard to explain what goes on in my head, how it's constantly a battle. But with a video game I can kinda convey how that feels. Thank you :) @vilix64 I tried my best to make it too real :joy: Thank you! @Tutti Ankka I'm glad I reached my goal of the game, to convey how awful depression is, thank you! @Lecalat I'm really glad you liked it :) @Jack Hipson Everything in the mechanics and pacing of the game was intentional and calculated. Thank you :) @Poorwill @RAFFE Thank you for your nice comments :)

@Lex thank you so much :')

Stoical Domination by Colin Misbach 2018-04-23T05:14:49Z

Really great! You feel very rushed during your turn and you have to choose carefully between farming resources or moving your pawns. It's very good and feels fun to play. Nice music too :)

Shot Thru The Heart by sheehan 2018-04-23T02:48:14Z

Thank you for letting me free the doggo. I also kept clicking the dialogue away but it was still on a timer to be read. I would prefer to click to force a dialogue to finish, then click again to go to the next dialogue. I clicked on the final dialogue and it finished the game before I could read it :'( Very cute though!
