Hey man, solid game here! I was super shocked when it switched to 3D mode. I did not beat it however. I accidentally hit Q during the 3D mode, and it closed the game. Good stuff here man!

The camera in the 2D platforming section is maybe too zoomed in, otherwise, great game for your first LD!
Possibly, 'Q' isn't the best button to bind "Quit game" function. I accidently closed the game twice because of it. 'Escape' might have been a better option. Oh well, maybe I'm just that inept.
Anyway, I found the 3D bit lacking. Maybe, some interesting stuff to find, bigger map to explore. And in platformer section, it would be better to actually need the bird to show you the way (to avoid traps maybe). But still, not bad for the first entry, congratulations!
A cool little game! I liked that you used the 3d and 2d :)
I'm not gonna lie, the music change and sudden switch to darkness in the 3D section made me terrified haha. Doesn't help that I'm playing this at 4am! The night-time section was very atmospheric, I love it! I'd love the see the 2D and 3D sections mixed together more. Maybe having to use the 3D mode to get past obstacles like in Fez or Paper Mario. Good job, keep making games!
Congrats on finishing your first Ludum Dare. Good idea mixing the 2D and 3D. I did find the light radius on the torch in the 3D section a bit small.
Hope to see you next time!
Wow I really liked the music and art :0 the jumping feels a little too slidy while on the ground (I slid into spikes several times) and my long nails accidentally hit the Q button...but other than that the 2D and 3D mode are super cool!! 3D mode definitely through me for a loop haha
The 3D mode was cool, I liked the atmosphere of it. The 2D mode could use some work. If it were a bit longer and had better graphics it could've been amazing.
Nice 2d, 3d combination, sneaky house at the end :D
A solid game. Good job!
This is overall a fine LD game. And both graphics and music is okay for a first LD game. I would liked a bit more to do in the game, but that is okay.
Good game! Great music and cool art style in the 2d world.
@Jokku :3
WOAH WOAH WOAH! 2D becomes 3D! What an amazing transition that was. Next level game! Good Job
Nice entry, the jump feel weird though. The idea is original and the charadesign for the cube is awesome ! (the hat is marvellous) (i love hats)
@Solnak Thanks :p I thought it really needed something and BOOM
ah shoot I got lost in the 3d area and then pressed Q (or something)? and it quitted on me
I honestly cracked up at the graphics / animations they are bad in a great way if it's not offensive to say
the core idea of translating the same character from 2d to 3d as a core part of a single game is interesting too nice LD Entry!
@BenPeterson That was kind of the point, to make it look not even close to "professional" xD And all of the graphics, have been drawn by me in photoshop, and that makes it even better :D Thanks for feedback! <3
Nice take on the theme! And points to you for working in 2d and 3d, its a neat challenge. Good job!
Nice game !!
I really liked the 2D section. When I got to the 3D section it was too dark and I could not find my way around and some how went though the side of one of the hills. This is the only game in this jam I have played so far that combines 2d and 3d gameplay so kudos.
Very fun! I love the combo of 2D and 3D, and the music is very nice (so few LD games even have it, so it is great to see those that do!). Especially good for a fist LD. Great job, keep it up :)
Edit: Huge plus for changing graphics levels to different levels of cooked potatoes. That was very funny!
What a twist from goofy platformer to almost horror 3d. I loved it!

Thank you all so much for the amazing feedback! It's nice to know how I am doing, and how to improve! <3
The switch between 2D and 3D was really nice, it just lacked a link between the two modes (the bird could be following you and guiding you to the house).
I noticed the small change in the graphics quality names and that made me laugh! Well done!
@NoNiMad Actually, I really thought about making the bird into the 3D mode as well. It was just about that I did not have the time to make it work properly and make the 3D model and animations C: Thanks for the feedback :)
For a 15 yo's first Ludum Dare, that's impressive, keep up the good work man !
Congrats on your first LD and good job on the game. I liked your concept of mixing between both 2D and 3D. One thing that could probably be improved in the two types of jumps in 2d since it felt inconsistent which one you would do. Keep up the great work.
I'm really nostalgic for the artstyle of the 2D part, reminds of the stuff I drew as a kid in MS Paint, haha :D Contrary to some other reviewers I had no problem at all with the jumping mechanics. They felt quite natural to me. Maybe the camera could be a bit more zoomed out so you actually see where you are jumping. I really liked the sudden transition between the two modes. The music accentuated this very well and was really good overall! The atmosphere of the 3d part was genuinely creepy, though I wish a bit more was happening there. This goes for the 2D part as well. But hey, I'm sure the time limit is to blame here, not your creativity. To me, it's quite impressive what you managed to do in 48 hours for your first LD game!
Have a fish <3 🐟
Just finished your game. I found kind of abrupt the change from 2D to 3D, the graphic change was huge, in fact when I originally read a 2D and 3D game I was actually expecting just a perspective and control change. Leaving that aside I had no problems with the jump besides the cube suddenly rotating and falling upside-down in one of the early platforms which simply sounded weird.
The music was good and the 3D part had a really nice feel to it with all the darkness and such, really liked that.
Great job!
@beebo-studios Thank you so much for that awesome feedback! The time really was the only reason stopping me from doing more :p
@jsd I actually made that cube flipping thing by accident, but decided to keep it there because I found it kind of funny :p
Nice combination here! Although I would find a way to merge the 2D and 3D parts. They feel almost as 2 games appart. Awesome job for 48 hours. Congratulations!
