Very nice! Very Pretty, and the game play is that right mix of simple and fun!
926? I only got 323. The only thing that held this back for me was the difficulty of get the the clicks in time. maybe just leaving them on screen a little longer would have helped? Also I almost moved early because I thought I'd seen all there way to see, but thankfully stuck around long enough to see the bullet hell part start. Very inventive!
Way wicked! Total package game! Last boss was a bit easy but thats the only thing i can say at all! Awesome game!
I'm glad to see more of family teams, its awesome to see you involving them in your passion!
Solid man, really enjoyed the narrative! Had me in its grip the whole time!
Loved the mechanic of gathering upgrades in an endless runner. Only consern was i got lucky quite a bit between two bad dudes and the difficulty level changed ALOT in between them, so I didn't quite adjust. Still, a lot of fun!
Simple and fun, loved the pixel art and retro sounds!
First time I have ever enjoyed a pin ball game
Got to lvl 6 by the end and realized that i was enjoying this enough that i had grinded up my level. to me your biggest asset was the humor that I could feel all the way through. Blowing up enemies by growing them, silly plot and text, and a solid base mechanic made for a fun play through. I'd say the controls could use some work, but I was able to get used to them.
Had alot of fun with the power ups. Between the bean stalk of Doom and the wipe out car, I had a good laugh! the buttons took me a sec to realize they were clickable, but not a big thing. If you look at my game's source, I made a simple button class for flixel that you are more than welcome to rip off. Keep it up!
loved the use of the two button controls. Goes to show how much you can do with so little input! Well done!
Pretty hard to progress through, but very pretty and mechanically quite solid!
the motion blur made looking ahead a bit difficult, but the game was beautiful and fun!
definately needs a bit more love. loved the theme!
Fantastic! Reminded me alot of flappy bird with its difficulty. The particles and sounds were great as well!
Awesome title! game feels nice overall aside from being a bit slow. I love the visuals, very tight! The upgrades is what made it re-playable and worth while to me.
Very excellent, let me know if you make a full game from this!
Had a hard time knowing what my input was causing to happen (never seemed to be able to get the watering action to happen). Playing the web version using the shift buttons for control caused windows to try to enable sticky keys btw.
loved the humor, very simple and fun. I enjoyed the presentation of the plot!
My only complaint is that end of the game gets long trying to find the lone enemy that has survived. Otherwise I can't believe how polished this game feels in such a short amount of time. If this is the stuff that Heaps can do, I may need to start looking at it more!
Very Wicked Game! Felt as solid as it looked. Music set the tone well, and I felt like it was easy to get into!
Interesting concept. I like seeing games that encourage exploring and trying things, and this did that front and center. Very nice!
The platforming felt like it had weight to it and the combo system was interesting, but making the combos more accessible would go a long way. Love the over all concept!
Very Strong main mechanic man! Very good job!
990 Pounds! I really liked the feel of this. Very jovial despite that it ends in being served up on a platter! Art and Sound are very solid! Very nice!
Very cool to see an rts built in this short span of time. Alot of fun!
Loved the presentation and the sound! Game felt solid and I really could feel the harvest moon inspiration. Congrats, you distilled the game I wasted 2 months of my life on into a 5 min jam game. Love it!
This was just plain fun! Music, Graphics, and 'story' are fantastic in how well they all work with each other. Platformers like this aren't normally my thing, but i played this one a few extra times just to see all the quotes i could!
Alot of fun for such a simple yet involved control scheme. Think it would have been a bit better with less health to make matches a bit quicker
Felt like the audio is what glued me strangely enough. Very solid entry! Had to weigh risk/reward alot, and I feel like any game that makes me think in that light is a cut above the rest
This game doesn't do anything new, but everything is a solid agreeing of platforming with two buttons. You've got solid work that could use some polish.
8 Hours? Very nice work in that span! Very polished game play!
This really felt like a puzzle where you needed to figure out the sequence, which was fun, but the movement around the map being quicker might have helped keep up the pace. Really loved the writing, especially the guy who ended up coming to the town for the teacher, I had a good laugh at that one! Solid game guys!
Wow, I never realized how much depth there can be in just letting a player actively block attacks! This one was alot of fun for me. Helps that I have a love for procedural generated games. Add up good sound, good sprites, and solid game play and this is one of my favorites this year!
It's an interesting concept, and I loved the sound and art. I'd love to see what a game like this would be like given a bit more time.
Very addicting!
This game is a cohesive whole, very solid. Good job man!
Thanks for the feedback guys! We're sorry the music got repetitive, it was one of the things we were nervous about. We're thinking that that, and making the ogres tougher, and the arrow/axe speed will have to get tweaked for the post compo release. Glad you guys are enjoying the game!
Again, thanks for all the feedback guys! Nick and I are looking forward to putting all the thoughts and ideas to good use!
Glad you made it to the end rzuf! Some of our balance issues make it an achievement in perseverance and tactics! With all my practice I still clock at a minimum of 150 Regular golbins, and I've got 4 hrs of play invested in the game across the build and ports!
This was a strong game, definately one of my favorites this LD!
Sound reminded me of Zombies ate my neighbors, and the game play reminded me of Katamari Damacy, very nice combination! Controls left a bit to be desired and there were visual bugs, but it didn't diminish that it was a fun game!
Solid concept and equally solid follow through! I enjoyed this one immensely!
First time I've seen a simple Unreal 4 game. Finally, I can hand this to my wife and she can know my plight!
Theres alot of solid ideas here, just not a great genre for two buttons.
Very interesting presentation. I liked how unique the movement/shooting felt. Made me have to think twice about each move getting the desired result I wanted. Very Nice!
Had alot of fun with it. Played through twice because I didn't see you could do research the first time. Only criticism would be the audio got old, particularly the second time through, and the buttons to switch buildings was a bit tempormental (I was using the Web version, and the buttons would work 90% of the time, but 10% of the time I'd accidently be trying to put down the wrong building).
Nice job!
@rick I just loaded the game up on my macbook with no issue, which makes it tricky for me to replicate what you had occur, so I just uploaded a native Mac version. Let me know if that is playable for you.
@generictoast glad you liked it, I really wish I'd have taken Monday off just to expand it... and make the boss take more than one hit(got to love odd bugs). Next time I'm going to make sure I start off on a mature engine so I have more time :)
@veralos Which version were you playing that had the score issue? I know I fixed that at one time, but I'm betting I forgot to commit it and put it in one of the builds.
Awesome game, I feel like you made alot of subtle choices that added up to a great experience. The foreground being over the main character, the collision boxes not being the exact size of the obstanocles (thanks for that), the sound track and art evoking fantastic 8 bit nostalgia. Very solid. You did a great job with the difficulty curve. I think the only thing I'd have done differently would have been fewer planets so you didn't have to spread new levels so thin. Still that's the most I can say. Very well done!
Glad you liked it :) debating playing with it more, but not sold yet :)
@catoto I may revisit it. I want to get it to a point that I can at least put it on my portfolio. @zee, I'm glad you were able to zoom at least. I need to see if its possible to scale my game in its engine (I think it is, but I'm unsure).
Thanks for playing!
I got the same deal, I'll try to check back later
Reminded me of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories battle system
