Since I'm on a Mac I tried to download your SWF file. but when I open it it says:

``` VerifyError: Error #1014: Class flash.ui::GameInput could not be found.
at boot_11ff/init() at flash::Boot/start() at boot_11ff() ```
Hopefully you get a chance to fix this so I can play and rate your game.
@rick I just loaded the game up on my macbook with no issue, which makes it tricky for me to replicate what you had occur, so I just uploaded a native Mac version. Let me know if that is playable for you.
The sprites look nice and i liked the sounds effects/music. The game was too short though, wished the level was longer or there was more levels. I also managed to fall off the map at the right edge of the level as there was no wall. Still pretty fun.
@generictoast glad you liked it, I really wish I'd have taken Monday off just to expand it... and make the boss take more than one hit(got to love odd bugs). Next time I'm going to make sure I start off on a mature engine so I have more time :)
It's hard to comment on much since the game's so obviously unfinished, but I do like the look of the visuals and the music is good. The main menu with a help section is also a nice touch. It's a shame you didn't have time to do more.
There were a few bugs, but this is the most significant one: When you die the value of the enemy counter becomes too large, making it impossible to finish. I think it might be adding the amount of enemies that were left when you died to the counter.
@veralos Which version were you playing that had the score issue? I know I fixed that at one time, but I'm betting I forgot to commit it and put it in one of the builds.
\m/ Nice art, well done.
I was playing the Windows version.
Thanks for making that Mac native version, worked fine now!
Like others have said, the game needs some extra love, hard to comment and give feedback.
I think you probably know most things you want to add/fix already but here are the ones that stood out the most for me:
- No health indicator (would've been nice to see how many hits I can take) - Level design was a little off since you could just walk up to the boss and still have some other enemies left to fight
Good luck finishing this one up!
This is pretty nice. It feels unfinished alright, but you were certainly on to something here. The character design is cool and I love how the projectile jitters up and down. It effectively conveys that I'm shooting some kind of chaotic sonic blast rather than a bullet. The enemies are hazardously fast - the boss pretty much comes out of nowhere and the bats can easily swoop in before you react. It took me two tries to beat the game thanks to such shenanigans. I like the soundtrack, simple as it is. I really found myself wishing for a health tracker. I ran the .swf provided using my Linux flash projector and everything seemed to work fine. Nice work!
