Hi first thing first. Your link to play your game doesn't work. Thankfully if you look it's an easy fix :D After realising I just entered the link in manually.
Really liked the visuals, interesting concept with an interesting story that develops. I really liked the reflection of the character in the water. That looked really cool! :D Thanks for sharing.
Sad story :( But good job on the way it is told, good concept. Would have been cool if there was a way to influence the story some more. I like the mix between 3d and 2d graphics, works really well. Sound is just right.
@binaryferret Thanks for the heads up! Link should now be fixed :)

I don't get it... jk! Very interesting way to deliver a narrative. I'm also impressed at how well the contrasting visual styles worked together. Good job!

Very nice narative game.
The contrast between sad story and beautiful island reminds the contrast between 2d character and 3d world.
The ring above the head allowed me a possible explanation of the place.

the concept and theme are excellent! a very interesting way to deliver a story, also the combination of 3D and 2D creates a really nice aesthetic
I just can't start the game. The game didn't respond for pressing A or K. Only Esc button.
@mutfak-studios Do you have a controller plugged in? If so, you need to press the A button on that to start the game. If you are playing with no controller then only the K key should work.
Nice narrative game. For impatient persons as me, it could good to have a buttom to show all the text instead to wait, but I understand that a narrative game have to use pauses :)
I like sprites in a 3D world. Character is charismatic.
@mutfak-studios, in the beggining you can just take the map, and the you can interact when you are close to the monument (three stones).
Nice game bro

I just don't get it, do I? This was a somewhat trippy experience. It's an interesting way of telling a short story. It's not much of a game, necessarily, but it's a good thing! I wasn't able to turn the camera (a la not reading the directions), but that didn't really seem to detract much.
I find this weird. The art style is kind of inconsistent, and I don't really understand the game. I mean it told the story in a very odd way. Sound is good, decently fun.
I guess you could say I just don't get it, controls were unreliable and kind of annoying.
Interesting game, i usually dont care for "love" stories but the binary options and offering them to gods really added to the experience. The shadow of the player annoyed me a bit. Maybe have one model(?) facing camera with no shadow and one invisible to camera that is facing the light source?

I enjoyed this - nice leisurely-paced game - nice change from the frenetic activity of other games. Like the dude's Hawaiian shirt - nice touch. I loved the reflections and shadows - was a nice art style, Took a bit of wandering around to work out what to do - but got there in the end!

Nice idea, love the graphic implementation. Would have selected another font and way of displaying the narration dialogue, it felt a little inconsistent with the overall art style.
I really liked the style of the game, very cool game!
The mix between graphics in 2D and 3D is interesting. The story is somewhat sad (not necessarily bad) and game seemed short to me (although yeah, making story telling game for Ludum Dare is somehow a problem due to time range).
Technically it is quite nice, water sounds look good. Few points regarding graphics:
- the missing sea floor is visible, it makes ugly edges under water (as it has refraction) - I miss some textures, I know you wanted this to be stylized, but still - hand painted ones could look nice here + the water doesn't really fit the scheme (if you use just colors) - shadow casting seems weird for pixelated character, but it would be tricky to get it looking good under all angles

A quite charming little game!
The art, music and ambient sounds really set a positive mood, in stark contrast to the stories being told. Very nice! The cutlery object was sometimes a bit hard to spot against the background.
A suggestion for a future addition, could be to have the story-sentences change if the altars are intermixed, creating a new "what-if" hybrid story.
The game was enjoyable to play, and the stories were compelling, with a distinct difference in feel between them. Nice work!
>A peaceful island, >filled with trash and memories. >Perspective is key.
Nice narrative and interesting story!. I really like the visuals and sounds of the game. I would love to see more interaction while finding the objects, you could probably add some puzzles to make the player more involved in the story or small quests to complete to get the items. Good job!

To be honest, if there's some deeper meaning beyond the story itself and the probable metaphor that the island presents, then I just didn't get it. ^^;
Otherwise, I have to say it's a particularly pretty game. Despite the low resolution models and the minimalist style, the lighting and the colour palette really made the game pop. The 2D sprites in the 3D environment looked good, although only two directions of animation felt a little bit too constrained. You definitely could have done with a forward and backward animation cycle.
The story was relatable, if a little short (assuming that I found all of it!) and, overall, it was an interesting experience.
Keep it up!
