Man, I really like this game. The music is really good for a jam, and I really like the enforced coorperation/AI assistance core mechanics. The art is really clean, and the action is fast-paced and enjoyable.

Some general thoughts: * I don't know if there's a lose condition. Maybe it's intentional, but after a bit I didn't feel the pressure to perform I did earlier. * I really wanted different colored spaceships to be more vulnerable to shots that match their color. That would require more cooperation for optimal play. * This game needs 4-player coop. Like, _really_ needs it.

I think if you took this concept, added waves with some downtime/upgrade time in between them, maybe some bosses, and added local/online multiplayer, you'd have a fun game I'd pay money for.

kcreanor 2017-05-02 13:00

If this game had multiplayer/co-op I'd be all over this like a rash. Great concept, great fun and overall a really, really solid entry for a compo. I hope you continue to expand on this as it could be something really cool! Well done, like really, amazing job

ooku 2017-05-02 13:24

Great game!I wasn't always sure if I was wining or loosing. A score or something could be helpful.

highlyinteractive 2017-05-02 14:05

I was a bit confused about what to do, until I re-read the instructions & realised it was supposed to be a co-op. Would love to see a multi-player version instead of AI driven. It did get a little repetitive after a while & without a score, I wasn't sure if I was winning or not. Good effort though!

killtolive 2017-05-02 14:54

Nice game! A few bugs here and there (I was able to put my "house" upside down, so it looked more like tomb :) ), but nice mood and fun gameplay!

justinm 2017-05-02 15:28

It was nice to see you dedicated your game to your home countries cause. I also really enjoyed how smooth your control mechanics in this game were. They were really fun to use and worked really well. In terms of improvments that could be made, I think the need to repair needed to be inforced as I didnt feel to much incentive to use it. There also didnt feel like a victory or failure condition which would have been nice for this type of co-op game. Lets see it go multiplayer sometime soon :grinning: Overall great game with an amazing music score! well done.

marccio-silva 2017-05-02 18:59

Really loved the whole collaboration between the different characters. The art was solid and the music was very fitting, good one!

somethinboutgames 2017-05-02 19:22

Nice, straigt-forward shooter game. Good, colorful and simple graphics, space-y sound effects, cool music. Didn't really know, how I was doing so some kind of score system is definitely missing. The AI coming to help you was pretty impressive, so congrats on that.

My best wishes to Venezuela, I hope the situation over there gets cleaned up soon.

spacewarp 2017-05-02 20:02

I really like the idea of a cooperative-centric game

Nice simple and appropriate aesthetic and music.

Not really sure what the deal is with the buildings and repair, and could really use some mechanical differences between the colors (or some other way to enforce cooperation).

simonhutchinson 2017-05-02 23:18

Very cool. This is a great little game, and I love that you've been able to integrate a larger message into the game without being heavy-handed about it.

makenai 2017-05-03 04:46

Cute game with a lot of things going on. I watched the YouTube demo video, but still wasn't clear on when / why I needed to pick up building or why I needed to put them down. I had fun shooting at the UFO's anyway though!

h2n0 2017-05-03 10:18

Very confusing at first (I didn't read much of your description) but I got the hand of it in the end. I really liked the co-op aspect of the game and having the houses as lives (I think thats what they were) was very interesting. The AI doesn't seem too bothered about reviving me after I died but would help each other?

diegoctorguet 2017-05-03 13:11

I've seen some games like this in this ludum dare, but, as far as I've seen, this is one of the best executed. I would totally love if you could add some competitive mode where players must be the only survivor, instead of cooperate.

plepletier 2017-05-03 13:15

Good idea! First I thought only was defend my territory, but after I see the world needs co-op gameplay to survive. Playing with other players must be much better! Congratulations!

allthebees 2017-05-03 18:40

A nice aesthetic with a lot of interesting mechanics. Fun to play!

zelos 2017-05-03 21:01

Great idea. Really enjoyed playing this.

**Graphics**: Nothing to say here. They look very nice and clean and I didn't find anything to criticize really. **Audio**: The song is cool and the SFX are fitting as well. Again, nothing bad to say. Maybe sometimes there are a bit too many SFX playing at once, which gets annoying, but it's really not that bad. **Gameplay**: Really fun. As others have said it lacks some kind of score system. The controls have been a slight problem for me, since I use a QWERTZ keyboard. So Y and Z are swapped and I had to temporarily change to US layout to play the game comfortably. Really solid entry overall. Good work.

spacedoubt 2017-05-04 02:39

I didn't really get what I was doing, other than spamming buttons.. and then I won! I guess it would make sense as like a couch co-op thing. Great work!

maggardjosh 2017-05-04 21:14

I accidentally put my houses on the other player's color and couldn't pick them back up! Oops :P

Would be a really cool game if you could get multiplayer going!

those-30-ninjas 2017-05-04 21:31

It was a little unclear what the win con was. But the controls felt good. Had a good time playing it. Nice clean art.

tyranosaw 2017-05-06 04:15

Honestly, this is one of my favorite game made in the compo. Everything is well made and polish. All you can do for the game is add, add and add. Give this game more content. You can spawn in power ups that could allow you to repair faster, shoot with more damage or even make this a local multiplayer game. There's no other direction for this game other than UP. Great Work and Congratulations !

clegamecoop 2017-05-06 04:48

Wow, great job!!!

andyman404 2017-05-06 04:51

It worked great. I liked the cooperation aspect of it and the final message at the end. Nice work for 48 hours!

toonteamj 2017-05-07 00:27

The cooperation aspect was a little unclear at first, but it's a good concept. The message at the end was very charming.

cogcomp 2017-05-07 15:31

Once the action started it was total chaos :-) Great work!

sebbernery 2017-05-07 20:19

Good job on music and polishing ! Would be very great with a scoring system.

edit: next time, please think about alternative keyboards (I have an AZERTY) ;-)

zener 2017-05-08 08:54

Great game and very fun, it takes a bit until you understand everything in the middle of the chaos. Good job!

feips 2017-05-08 09:17

Lovely

mathiouza 2017-05-09 20:04

Good entry :)

That was fun and intense x) I was a little confused first, but when I understood, I loved it x) The music is really cool too :)

Good job ! Keep coding ;)

valicitor 2017-05-09 20:10

Very fun, Great music, Good Graphics. Was confused when I lost all my buildings only to have it show a victory screen, but I can't say I didn't enjoy the experience. A bit of feedback on how much health the spaceship has or how much damage I'm dealing would be helpful.

jelch 2017-05-11 00:23

Good audio/visual polish, but hard to understand win/loss/progress conditions.

ghostbomb 2017-05-11 00:24

Cute game. I liked the little message at the end.

cameron-seebach 2017-05-11 03:44

A nice, small, well-executed concept! As some other commenters have mentioned, I wasn't sure what the losing condition was. Maybe that's the message?

cameron-seebach 2017-05-11 03:45

I was also not sure what the point of moving your buildings to other places was, aside from avoiding a ship that was hovering directly over your side of the map. Also, did the different characters mean anything besides color?

adventurjourney 2017-05-11 20:52

The style is minimalistic but effective!

Since there isn't some tutorial or any explanation it took a few minutes to understand better the game.

I think that the small key explanation isn't right away readable when you are in the opposite side of the planet, also it would gain to be a litle bit bigger.

We had a similar idea for taking houses/buildings , that's quite funny ^^ I really enjoyed seeing how you took advantage of that idea in your gameplay (changing the color of the houses when in an other territory, protecting the city by moving them)

The sound of the bullets firing is a bit repetitiv, maybe it would be nice to change randomly the pitch a litle bit, or any other idea that could make it more confortable in a longer session.

I must point out that the controls were quick and simple to understand.

Ps : I like the movement of the slow move of the stars on the background , it adds some nice depth !

Cute, fun game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 38 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNgoyhHtWC0
