Great game!
Something happened after I sorted the cards and put them in the punch card computer though - some text scrolled off the screen before I could read most of it, leaving me with a message (won't say what that was as it might be a spoiler). After that I couldn't enter any further commands.
Anyway, it was a great blast from the past and not too much verb guessing involved - well done!
Thanks!
If I had spent more time on it I would have fixed a few things like the "too much text" issue, and worked on a less abrupt ending.
I thought I'd submit it as-is (mostly done) for anyone that might get a nostalgia kick out of it though.

Fun, very old school Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Couldn't figure out how to sort the cards but the art really sold the mood. Great work.

This perfectly captures these older text based adventure games. I adore how you can just toss your box of punch cards on the floor.
The only thing it's missing for me is the ability to get told off for typing bad words.

Controls feel really nice and I think the graphical style and the font fit really well together.

@Quicklyer just one thing I have to add - if I click outside the game video it breaks the game
Oops yeah, thanks Anudin. If you lose keyboard focus in the game, pressing TAB on the keyboard should bring it back.
Not sure why clicking on the input area doesn't work. Maybe because it's a lower z-order on the page than other elements on top of it. Another thing that would have been nice to fix.

Really captures the feeling of that era of adventure games really nicely. Haven't figured out to do about my punch cards falling on the floor, though.
Really nice entry to the game jam. Good job!
Unfortunately I was only able to "go inside" and "talk to receptionist".
...I suck at these
Great game and the art fits the game perfectly, at one point it seemed the game recognized every command I typed in except when I got to the sorting machine then it was like running into a brick wall. Can you guys tell me how to get past it? I can't really think of any complainants about the game, good job.
Reminds me a lot of old school adventure games so good job!
I was always bad at these games. Can't get past the crowded hall. I've tried everything from sneaking around to jedi mind tricks. I'm sure I'm missing a simple verb. Could you add a help that gives you basic hints or the ability to examine/observe a room?
Well executed though. Definitely a throwback to the old days. Second punch card game I've played for this jam, and so far the best! Well done!
I got to the computer, but couldn't use it. A help function would be highly appreciated.

It was nice. The graphics are authentic. There is some challenge. Good work.
Interesting. Haven't played a text based adventure in awhile.
Nice game. I like the old school vibe :) It is also very intuitive, and art matches the game very well. Nice one!
Wow. I was really impressed with this one and had a good time. I haven't played a game like this since I was a kid! The writing and artstyle was great. I'd hate to work in that office, sounds like they are frantically putting together a ludum dare entry!

This was a nice small text adventure. I got it somehow on my first try, completely by luck.
(Well, I did ended up reading the code at one point to guess a verb, but otherwise it's like... how did i ever get into the computer room so easily?... turned out i did just enough...) :)
Nice nostalgic entry, definitely takes me back to the old text adventures. Liked the visuals also which I think worked really well with the text descriptions.

I like old school text adventures. This was well done. I managed to run the program successfully in about 10 minutes or so. It was the best day of my life.
