Nice job, I really like the gameplay.

I like it! Turrets are a nice touch, and the pickups give you a reason to not just hide in a corner and let them work. I would recommend putting a bigger pointer or crosshair or something at the mouse location though, as I kept losing my mouse. Even if you don't disable the default mouse pointer it helps a lot.

Seems the source is for a different game? At least I can't seem to be able to rebuild the project you have here from there.

ambi, fixed.

gameplay is awesome

This is pretty amazing. Love the gore when you shoot something and the graphics are nice. I really like the concept too! Only problem was that there were no crosshair so I lost my mouse quite often.

Really nice gameplay ! The random spawn in blocks is a great idea.

WOW! This is probably my favorite LD 37 game! Everything is amazing! The graphics are very good and it's very fun to play because of not very high difficulty and it's pretty relaxing even at hardcore mode. I hope you gonna finish this project!

Nice realization, you even had time to include a boss and a hardmode, that's great !

Interesting concept, turning the blocks into ennemies !

sinclairstrange 2016-12-13 22:13

Really interesting gameplay, tower defence splashed with a top down shooter, I liked it. Well done :D

maekeruu 2016-12-16 17:24

Nice take on the theme, topped with a tower defense style gameplay! I had fun finishing this game :) I'd recommend this to my friends for them to beat ahaha

Very fun and original.

vinipc 2016-12-17 17:04

Really nice concept and take on the game.
The main problem I saw was the audio. The soundtrack didn't seem to fit and the sound effects weren't splashy enough.

Nice one man!

Overally it's good but the enemies are kinda dumb. They keep bumping into the walls and trying to shoot through them. I actually use unity myself so I will give you some advice on solving those problems.

Fixing the enemies trying to shoot through the wall is rather simple. You just need to make a raycast that goes from the enemy to the player and only allow the enemies to shoot if that raycast doesn't hit any walls.

As for the enemies bumping into walls you might want to take a look at this :
https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/nav-BuildingNavMesh.html

The tutorial is made for 3D games but I'm sure there's also a way to set up a navmesh for 2D games.

Regardless all of those issues the game was fun enough for me to play through both the normal mode and the hard mode.

Good luck with future projects!

bigoss73, I was thinking about implementing pathfinding, but was afraid the game would become too difficult, because all monster suddenly walk directly to you, and the game would have to be rebalanced, which would take quite a bit of time. So I wasn't taking this risk.

just a great game. really liked the game mechanic. controls were great. you should sell this. great game!
