I like the idea but you should make it to be easy to understand which ball is currently selected. That made it confusing to play. Other than that nice art and music. I like it. Now I'll try the post-compo version and see the improvements :D
Rated all 5 stars because this is my winer so far. The game is fun, the graphics are great, the music and sounds fit well, there is a lot of humor in the game's name and GOD THAD DIGGING ANIMATION xD for me it looks like Darwin is humping the ground xD

Also I found that the Resistence tooltip is the same as Effectivenes's tooltip.
Nice retro style but the mouse movement it a bit too fast. Although I like the "Pokemon" mechanic :D

If you made the models during the compo I applause you. The same goes for the sounds. But for first time in LD you have done great and you should be proud of yourself. I died surounded by 4 monsters but I'll try again :D

I like the idea how you modify your dragon trough the DNA structure. I really want to see this become a finished game(more content better graphics, animations,more customization)

Polished graphics, nice idea but when you get your first lair of cubes the collision starts to get buggy and sometimes you get stuck because you cant collect the last cube.

Never seen anything like this. I like the idea of replaceing your limbs and throwing them. Also you should add to change your attacks when you change your limbs. And add some boss too. Overall nice game I like it.
Game dev tip: NEVER make a game in WinForms it looks awful. At least use GDI+ not buttons and controls. I understand you are new to programing and this is just a tip but if you want to make good games don't use WinForms. Use XNA or SFML or any other framework/lib that is for making gmaes. However
you should be proud of yourself making something in 72 hours.
Nice game but it was kind of hard to me. I got 100xp but then I died :(. If the game was a little bit easier I could have loved it. Also I don't like the HP things they are too small and it takes time to understand that this thing indicates your HP, but that's my personal opinion.

I think I have fixed the framerate issues. But I'm not 100% sure that it is fixed. I need someone to download it again and test it. Someone who had issues before.
@kibertoad thanks for feedback but I wont change any gameplay now because it is against the rules(reduce the DNA needed for next level)
Note to self: Don't make games longer by doing the same thing over and over. Make game longer by making more different gameplay. And most important GRINDING ISN'T FUN

@MurrayL sometimes this happens and I don't know why too. Start again and use the cheats to get to snake stage or after to play the last stage.
Thanks for the nice review Gabriel and yes I will be making post-compo version. What I plan is to change the 3rd stage. I'll add flies, bees and other insects to catch. Then your tongue will grow making you to reach higher food sources. In the end of the stage you will evolve into a dragon. There you will have fire breath and you will still have your tongue but you can only use one at a time. In the end of this dragon stage I am planing to add a boss where it uses almost all mechanics from the previous stages. For example he will have some wind abilitie(the same as the flow) he will also have mines(the viruses from the first stage) and he will have shield generator which you will have to rip with your tongue. Besides adding more stages I'll make the cell stage better and fix the snake stage and do some balance changes.

@Josh umm that doesn't look like my game maybe you have done something when downloading other game entry because I have no "The Darwinizer" in my game. Try downloading the game again in a new folder or something...

I downloaded the game and turned around to see the news on the TV. They spoke for Curiosity on mars and stuff about it. I turn back at my PC and I see the intro.... I laughed so much xD that I want to rate Humor over 9000
I like the idea and everything, but you could make jumping better and easier because sometimes you jump just next to an enemy and take damage. Anyway the game is wonderful and I like the end screen where it shows every generation.
I like the mechanic, nice AI and sounds. I suggest you to add who won in multiplayer mode, because it is hard to tell when 2 masses of pixels collide.

Overall great game. How do you make people not being mad? My psycologisyt allways got mad first and I coudn't use terapies.
Well executed nice graphics nice idea, but it was little harder then what it should be. Probably work on better level design. But overall good game and considering the time limitations good job.
10/5 on humor others are 5 from me. Best game I have seen so far. I realy liked the mood the dialogs the idea. I have played many games where they begin with minimal graphics and evolve. I don't like games like that. Even though your game has this idea it is a lot different, deep and fun.

Ran into a bug (can't remember which level), where it would restart me but with 2 or 3 ragdolls.
Excelent graphics mood and atmosphere, but the controlls were a bit strange. Not that they are isometric, but when I colide with a wall I start going in a random direction. Also the dogs could be done with some ai not compleately random. Besides that this is one ove the favourite games so far!

I love it in every way. This is briliant. I have seen many well made games that I like, but the fact how well this is made and by only one person and for 48 hours. Also I really like well made puzzle games that are simple, but smart. So after playing this it is on my #1 place. Also I saw the trailer and that made me even more happy. Maybe just as a recommendation I want to make a colour blind mode option for the post-jam version. The colours you picked are nice, but I am colourblind and I confuse the red-pinkish with greenish colours. For colour blind people picking bright distinct coulurs is good. Also picking colours with big difference of the brightnes makes colourblind people distinct them. Other than that great job man!
I really like the idea of only using one button. The graphics style is good, I like that it is brownish referencing potatoes :D

I realy like how this game came out. Nice idea, althought I don't like how everyone uses this minimalistic thing with the rectangles and colors. However I somewhat liked it in your game. Some advices are to add anti-aliasing(in the unity quality settings if I remember correctly). Another small thing is you probably have to tweak the yellow circles a bit and not to runs so fast. Overall good game I really enjoyed it!

Good looking game sweet graphics and nice mood. Very simple mechanics(a good thing). The only thing that I didn't like was that it is not very intuitive to grab the planks only in the corner. In the first level that had planks I got confused. Also nice idea of timing the level with floor disappearance, but again it was quite confusing in the beginnig because I tought that when you step on a tile it disappears. Overall a decent game!
Awesome. Can't really add anything more that hasn't been said by other people already, just note a little... thing I noticed.
At the end (spoilers ? ) when the hunter and the kids are walking away (presumably to new hunting grounds ) you can still hold the right arrow key and go back into the hunting ground with the bunnies (except they're all dead now).
I would guess it was either someway intentional or its just not finished due to the obvious time constrain.
Loved it anyway.

@FaBrito Yes I know what you mean. That was my initial idea, but something went wrong making wiglues to walk strange so I removed it. It was probably some problem with the model orientation.

To think that you put this together in only three days...wow, we need to get our sh*t together, anyways...
At first glance the board really reminded me of Settlers of Catan but obviously after reading it the gameplay (somewhat) reminded me Rouge Legacy, in a sense that the family blood line has a curse to deal with and it get's passed down from gen. to gen.
This is a really enjoyable experience really, can't pinpoint any direct criticism at it other than that perhaps sticking to a bit more "gritty" tone with the art style and expanding on the idea could net you a really nice (mobile?) game.

This is a pretty neat idea, I would go for something like a saber tooth cat but the mammoth does add a touch of comedy, and you already had a site up and running too!
Loved it, I loved the fact that I had to hand crack for the rotation and angle, I loved the fact that I had to pull a lever to shoot and the fact I got attacked by tiny (I guess?) Roman Eggs!
Some feedback:
The first time I launched the game I couldn't shoot (the lever did nothing)
Second time around everything worked, but (I shit you not) my payload go jammed on the balista, it was probably me, and it did get back to operational condition after 1 or 2 failed shots but I thought I'd let you know anyways.
