It can be very difficult if you don't have memory of sounds XD
You could make the game easier if you play the note you check, instead of verifying each time what you checked with "go".
And also, I do agree with Zelen3D, it's hard to know how many kind of bacteria are left, maybe change the color/shape as they evolve :)

It's a good idea, but i do agree with feyleaf about differentiating seeds.
Also, maybe you can add some shortcut to switch scissors, plant seed, delete seed... instead relying only on the mouse click.
Anyway, I tried on Safari 5.1.7 and it works.
Good effort to integrate all these old school heroes :)
It was hard and frustrating because of controls, but I wanted to go until the end.
I didn't understand why sometimes, Mario dies, and sometimes, he just goes through the enemies...

It was hard at first, but get really better and dynamic. I had a lot of fun playing the hardcore mode ! (my arm is still hurting for clicking so much)

I'm aware of this problem of "too much bullet", i got a lot of problem with balancing the game... Guess it's still not okay.
During the development phase, I also made an "item system" which gives power to the player, but i didn't have time to polish it so i removed it. (Story-related, it was the possibility to manually call friends and family to give you their support)
For example, one useful item could totally clean the screen, absorbing good words and destroy bad ones.
(The code is in the game in fact, I just removed the input controller to show and use this feature)

At first, it was not a cat but a dog with agressive "waf waf!" and "wouf!". I ended drawing a cat and didn't had the time to change his bad role xD

I had some problems with my AZERTY keyboard. Even if I change my keyboard language into english, it doesn't recognize WASD correctly so I had to play with the arrow :(

I like the idea of the progression and how we can modify history by disabling the machine anytime.

Music and sounds are coherent with the mood.
The story is well written but there is no really puzzle to find the culprit. Also, your character is not really a villain. She lies/tricks people to make money but she doesn't have a morally questionable goal.

Howerer your game suffer from gameplay issues. We don't really now where is the challenge, you just run into people with your character. It's hard to see any win/loss conditions.

As robashton said, it's a bit easy because you can fire from out of the enemy base range.
Also I don't really see the Villainy theme in your game.
The mood with the shadow is really good, too bad you didn't add some noise like the wind, fire crackles or footsteps (lack of time I guess, and I can understand as I faced the same problem)

A newspaper guy with a "handgun" fighting other newspaper. The idea is quite original and funny. You sure have put a lot of efforts into animating and prettyfying that.
I couldn't go very far (I really suck at FPS) but is it really minimalist ?

Dammit, I did it, I send the character to the moon... The last part in space was so hard with the moving platforms.

Strange game.
The player is more rewarded when he actually does nothing. By adding a single link, the life will start decaying at the speed of 5 per cycle, leaving you with a timer of 20 cycles. Healing does literally nothing since what you earn is completely lost at the next cycle. So if you have more than 10 links to create when you add your first and not enough energy, you're screwed :/
As many has stated, the best strategy is to wait until you have enough energy and then, end the level in seconds. But as the game keeps going, the cycles are longer, the objective is bigger. You need to be patient, indeed.
The concept is interesting though, you worked on something where you can create non linear molecules/cells/organism. (Top-down view would have been better i think). There is still room for improvements, but for a 48h challenge, it's still a good job.
Good concept of simulation game. Really polished for a 72h game.
It really becomes crazy when you have all your 10+ previous ghosts shooting everywhere. I died a few times more because I lost track of the main character XD

Really nice game, relaxing atmosphere and great graphics.
But as many has pointed out, you don't know which block will come out first, nor which one is next. There should be a consistent order when you click. Something like - empty - full - diagonal right - diagonal left - empty - full - etc... If you could fix this, this game would be extra :)

I died many times, I didn't understand how to dodge the tank (azerty keyboard doesn't help much also). The result could have been better with more time in your hands to add more user feedback, but this entry is good enough to show your idea.
The concept is really nice though. It can be the beginning of a MMO with many boss fights only.

As a Ludum Dare jam entry, it's not really what we can expect (or I didn't see the relation with the theme)
