Curious experiment! Love the aesthetics and the randomness of every creation.

georgebroussard 2013-04-29 04:24

Great music and sense of style. It's interesting to watch and see what happens. Slick presentation.

thein 2013-04-29 04:41

This is a really nice idea! I kept trying to make pictures by typing in the same word over and over.

whitetigle 2013-04-29 04:52

Great. I really enjoyed the concept!

cherrynukacola 2013-04-29 04:53

Very cool.

netgrind 2013-04-29 04:55

This was a cool little toy, I had a lot of fun figuring out what keys did what and how you were drawing things.

mcdonaldswizard 2013-04-29 04:58

Its a really cool experimental art maker. Exploring the key presses to understand what they do and how they interact is delightful.

artifex 2013-04-29 05:10

Cool experiment. Great sounds. Nice , very nice.

bloogloo 2013-04-29 05:17

Oh wow! What an awesome idea! I'm super impressed. Innovation = 5 stars for sure.

saampahlavan 2013-04-29 05:30

pretty.

gokuhd 2013-04-29 05:32

Love the music and graphics. It's interesting what you can me with it.

matthias_zarzecki 2013-04-29 05:35

Ha, creating stuff randomly/haphazardly is fun :) . Although I have no idea what's going on in the grand scheme of things.

cwilloughby 2013-04-29 06:03

Very interesting. Liked the concept and the toy. I am an artist! Mood, art, and audio are outstanding. Keep it up!

nxsverigmail-com 2013-04-29 06:08

Awesome man! I saw your tweets all weekend and couldn't wait to try it out. It is more of an experiment than a game, but it's perfectly executed. Only thing I could possibly suggest is an infinite stream of text. Sometimes it's therapeutic to just type and see this image change, instead of getting an image and restarting. But great work!

andrio 2013-04-29 06:21

A fun experiment.

jigxor 2013-04-29 06:26

A really pretty graphical experience! Nice job!

loren 2013-04-29 06:47

Thanks for the kind comments everyone, I really appreciate the feedback :)

perry 2013-04-29 07:36

Favourite one so far has been "ON", sadly when I went to take a screenshot it reset the painting :(. Very cool stuff. Literally the theme.

zerebruin 2013-04-29 09:15

I looooove random creation. :D
Although the patterns are a bit repetitive...

nambew 2013-04-29 15:40

This thing is curious, I try to find pattern but each world are unique making differents thing. I thing you can turn this in game like find the correct word.

lzantal 2013-04-29 16:16

Fun game. Like the music, and wordds with lots of "B" makes some nice patterns :D

girlflash 2013-04-29 20:11

no idea what is happening but it's super dreamy in the best way! :)

jonapulse 2013-04-29 20:14

Coooool.

sir_json 2013-04-29 20:15

Cool game!

purplemoustache 2013-04-29 20:56

Very, very cool!

folmerkelly 2013-04-29 22:18

Oh man so soothing! I love this thing.

I can do this forever

why do I keep creating worlds

oh what would this word look like let's try

oh god please let me stop

(accurately sums up my playthrough of the game forever)

McFunkypants 2013-04-29 22:27

Abstract and beautiful. I'd love more concrete rules for each keypress - something completely predictable. Harsh sounds making sharp edges, soft ones making rounded ones... then again, perhaps this is already the case! Interesting. Great work.

sonicspeed53 2013-04-29 22:43

A very nice game! The music was great and the outcome of your text was very cool to see! Good job!

fuzzywuzzie 2013-04-29 22:48

Really pretty art piece!

sayaer 2013-04-30 00:01

Spent a lot of time seeing what typing in different things would do, had a lot of fun with this one XD Thank you for making this.

shinestrength 2013-04-30 04:38

Beautiful!

syawqy 2013-04-30 05:15

great randomness

liannethy 2013-04-30 05:30

Really really cool! This is a pretty great interpretation of the theme :)

canyon 2013-04-30 06:13

I really enjoyed this :)

meta87 2013-04-30 06:16

This is very well done :D

coffeeonimal 2013-04-30 07:28

This could make for a nice contemplative afternoon working out sequences and combinations. Very nice work.

chman 2013-04-30 09:22

Cool artsy experiment. Now I know what my name *looks* like !

fishbrain 2013-04-30 09:33

Nice experiment. I like.

juniorus 2013-04-30 10:50

Pretty experiment! The sounds are relaxing too.

rujomarco 2013-04-30 14:07

nice experimental entry, not really a game but a good effort on the theme

josefnpat 2013-04-30 14:44

This could make for a cool music video :)

ysengrimm 2013-04-30 15:57

Create from the Unknown!

pepperjack 2013-04-30 17:46

Really love how tight and cohesive this feels! As a fan of things that play with frequency analysis, I think this is really cool.

sylvain-p 2013-04-30 17:47

Hard to rate. Really nice look/style (visual and sound impression), but for me the "experience" will be better with some game mechanics.

314 2013-04-30 18:24

You already have won the compo because of the title :). It's more experimental art then a game now. I wonder how could it be expanded into something where you slowly explore the inner workings of the this picture generator.

Interesting. Good work!

captainkraft 2013-04-30 18:37

Crazy stuff. I think I might be seeing those colors even though I've closed the game haha.

Interesting game. Cheers

playvue 2013-04-30 19:29

I love how it's randomly generated based on input! I can only imagine so sweet enviro-effects if it had some sounds w it too. Although, I still got a boat. Is that supposed to happen?

playvue 2013-04-30 19:51

CORRECTION: I love how it's "NOT-randomly-generated-but-still" based on input! So, basically, I love it. That is all. You may now return to your regularly schedule gaming.

loren 2013-04-30 20:03

You cool commenters you, thanks so much for making this Ludum Dare so fun :)

ataxkt 2013-04-30 21:43

This is amazing. Blogged it here:

I hope you win!

puzzlem00n 2013-04-30 22:44

Great experimental game! Wow. It's very unique.

hirsch 2013-05-01 15:21

Really interesting experimental game :)

onzephyr 2013-05-01 15:29

Fantastic experimental game idea. Looks good sounds good. and quite engaging. Overall very well done.

andrewshouldice 2013-05-02 11:59

Cool! I find myself trying to suss out the system underlying system, but maybe that's missing the point.

loren 2013-05-02 14:53

Enjoy it as you want :) Thanks for checking it out!

keyboardthrashingfactory 2013-05-02 15:43

Random, but not random, mind explodes 0_o

hopps 2013-05-02 19:58

wow, it's beautiful! Fun to play with.

bumpkinrich 2013-05-02 20:51

He he. Feels like I have control over the world.... I have no control...

Wonderful idea.

chrstphrschulte 2013-05-02 21:47

The idea of translation from a tactile form to visual form is a really cool idea, I could spend all day typing in quotes and such. Great work.

ragzouken 2013-05-02 21:56

Really enjoyable just to watch the piece grow - the idea that I can learn what effect each key had and perhaps learn to purposely create a world is pretty cool!

broxter 2013-05-02 22:46

Interesting.

zccc 2013-05-02 23:04

I loved it! The colors and shapes are amazing, it really has a nice mood! Really nice!

jacic 2013-05-03 00:52

Very relaxing! I had fun messing around with it.

seanatr0n 2013-05-03 06:41

Awesome, had fun conversing and then just jamming keys as fast as possible.

Someone needs to try this hooked up to voice2text

roguenoodle 2013-05-03 17:02

Pretty interesting experiment - perfect for the theme.

euwaku 2013-05-05 07:32

Awesome experience!

porpentine 2013-05-05 10:14

oo holding down one button makes the screen flash...pretty

samoojamies 2013-05-05 12:19

cool!

prelucid 2013-05-08 13:17

Cool, artsy

drkrunk 2013-05-08 17:18

I really liked this. It was almost soothing, with the music and sounds you added. Really nicely done.

dansludumdare 2013-05-10 18:22

I like keyboards. There are lots of "create art from a strange input" things, the "canonical" example I can think of is otomata. But this one uses the keyboard! Something about the way I understand keyboard makes this feel more like I'm exploring a giant space of possibilities rather than painting random stuff with the mouse or whatever.

ethankennerly 2013-05-12 17:54

Watching the colored film overlay interested me. If you continue to develop this, I did not pick up on the mapping between the grammar and the graphics.

metalcan 2013-05-13 20:08

Fantastic stuff. Lot's of fun to mess around with it. Also, if you write "pointy birds" you actually get a picture of pointy bird that appears to be inflating a balloon. Go figure.

lorancou 2013-05-13 21:21

I really fell drugged !

danblack 2013-05-14 09:33

Nice looking web toy and I liked the audio. Not a game though.

purplescape 2013-05-20 21:20

Interesting concept and clean graphics!
