Sick! After getting the controls down, I had a lot of fun, no complaints!
Very interesting. My results were "inconclusive". I like the idea. The First person controls were very loose.
Interesting haha. One button games can be minimal yet very fun.
Nice game! I had fun. Although eventually I figured out that you could camp and kill them quickly. But the feel of the game was great. Can definitely see this become really competitive with a bit of AI work. Great job!
I like the loose controls, but perhaps they're a little *too* loose. It's difficult to do any precise motion without painstakingly tapping left and right ever so slightly. I did like the graphics, and I can appreciate the minimal assets idea you have here. It crashed once for me, and sometimes I get flashing lag. But I did like it, it's a beautiful game, and I think it has a ton of potential.
Haha! That was great. Took me a sec to figure out what I was doing, but it was charming and simple. Nice work!
Sweet! I like the theme and the completeness. Very cute, no complaints.
Awesome. Was a bit glitchy at first, but once you get the timing it's awesome, sweet graphics too! I actually had a lot of fun with it. Highscores don't work though :<
Oooh tron. I liked it, just a but slow/unresponsive at points. Also it seems like I can't lose unless I crash into a wall.
But there's a lack of poatoes, which may make this the greatest game ever.
Oh ok.... now it's working a lot better. Weird. Nice work man haha!
Pretty awesome! I had a lot of fun. A few weird physics things but fine for a game jam. Good work!
Wow. Very nice! Reminds me a lot of And Yet it Moves in the sense of art style and sound, as well as the very unique gameplay. Nice work!
That was fantastic! I'll admit I skipped some vines in the beginning, but the "picture in time" story and the humor was excellent. Definitely fits the theme. Admittedly not something I'd play more than once, but still memorable. Cheers!
Nice! It was very relaxing. Although the mouse kept leaving the screen, making it hard to play if I wasn't extra careful. But really relaxing indeed. I liked the potato mode haha.
Nice! The concept was definitely unique.
Pretty sweet! I like the concept, and it played pretty solidly after I figured out the freeze vs. bomb effects. Nice work!
Interesting! Controls were a bit loose, and I couldn't hit anything, but it looked awesome, and I can definitely see a great game coming out of this!
Awesome man! I saw your tweets all weekend and couldn't wait to try it out. It is more of an experiment than a game, but it's perfectly executed. Only thing I could possibly suggest is an infinite stream of text. Sometimes it's therapeutic to just type and see this image change, instead of getting an image and restarting. But great work!
Sweet. I like the idea. The lack of instructions is great. I just got stuck on the 4th because sometimes it just stops responding :< . But it fits the theme great!
Nice work Ben! Definitely minimal. That first switch caught me off guard haha.
Nice! Cool idea, can definitely be used for some conflict resolution.
Thanks! There was a lot more planned but obviously did not get done. But there are in fact 3 separate stages.
Hint: There's a suspicious amount of space behind the left wall.
I can fix the infinite falling. Also the restarting on the first level is caused by getting hit by the "cars". Thanks for playing :P
Interesting! I'd like to see it worked on with more variety and control! Nice Job!
Can you actually host it somewhere? Try newgrounds or kongregate, or setup an html in that drop box. Otherwise I won't be able to play it :(
Nice direction, but yeah it is a bit incomplete :3
Nice! An interesting Strategy game. A bit complicated for me, I wasn't successful at it, but cool game in 48 hours.
Awesome! This was actually a lot of fun. After figuring out the controls, I found them surprisingly intuitive. It is challenging but I could honestly fins myself playing this to pass the time. Nice work!
Won't start for me. Do I need to have mono installed?
Doesn't work for me. Windows 7 64-bit, just stops responding, nothing shows up.
WOW! Fantastic. That was an excellent game. Innovative, Minimal, Great audio, Nice graphics. The gameplay was fun and I found myself genuinely horrified of the red lines. Oh man that death sound. Only thing I found a bit off was the "Shift to Silent Walk" thing. I always founf myself stuck in a wall, having to walk anyway, plus I could usually outrun them if I needed to. Perhaps giving a really small pulse while shift is held instead of complete darkness. Otherwise, this was a fantastic game. I think my favorite so far.
Man I wish I had the time to do everything. For a minimal game, that had a high amount of depth. That kind of balance is what makes minimal games so much fun. Great work. No complaints.
Very inovative. I loved the piano sounds. It was very calming at first, but the later levels really raise the curve. Not impossible, but hard.
ALSO you should make it more apparent that you have the .love file. That way mac/linux people can play it too if they have love. Nice work!
Getting an error that there's no main class? I think I have some problems with Java anyway...
Wow. Super intuitive. Didn't even have to explain the game. I don't even think you would have needed to type "Arrow Keys". Great minimalism game. Plus you have the options of expanding the game with levels and whatnot or just keeping it a super zen time passer. Great Job!
Nice! AI was way to hard haha, it tracked the puck non-stop! But it's a novel idea, nice slick art, and a really nice feel overall. Great job!
Wow.... That stressed me out. The audio and visual effects combined worked for a perfect combination. You were right, this is a game that pulls out emotions. It's not the most fun, but it really does do its job. And it does it very well.
Wonderful. Got used to the controls pretty easily. Loved the style!
Nice! This game made me, a prospect Comp Sci major, feel stupid. I like the level design flow. Teaching the game, then getting harder, then teaching some more. After the "tutorial" levels, I found that some of them were like "4 paths, trial and error". But man did you have some devilish levels. I found myself sitting there trying to do my math, and I just couldn't see it because of the well planned juxtaposition of the blocks. Very awesome concept! It's a good brain trainer like a Sudoku puzzle or a Ken-Ken.
Hey awesome! I had a similar idea in my game but you totally took it to an awesome place. I liked the idea of dropping the gun in front of the player to see if they would take it! Nice work!
Nice! I had fun, but the smoke is really unfair. I'd suggest having a steam sound or something when the smoke is on, so at least you can get the timing right. Other than that, I thought it was fantastic! Nice work!
Nice! Awesome one-button game. Difficulty was well paced.
Nice polish! Car's a bit tough to drive sometimes, but the graphics are nice and it's pretty fun in general. Nice work!
Awesome! Fits the theme perfectly. At first I thought it would be too hard, but it turned out to be super fun when I figured it out. I constantly felt lost, and the timer ticking down made it a bit tenser. Great combination of Tension and Zen. And seeing that smile with 1 second left is a great feeling :P
Wow! That was really cool looking, and the concept was great! But the controls were kind of off, and having to wait for a reload was annoying. Also getting to the exit was weird. I was standing by the door for a good minute before I realized you had to shoot something next to it.
But overall, nice concept, great art, great effects! Hopefully with a bit of work this game will be even better!
Great job!
@CaptainKrafy I just realized I had the controls wrong. Much better now haha!
Nice! It was a bit repetitive. I guess the difficulty balanced that, but it'd be nice to see some more variety for future progress :D
That was ambitious! It was kind of hard to get roads built everywhere, but it played alright and I loved the concept. Nice work!
I like it for a start, I think the minimal style can definitely be expanded on. Nice work!
No windows or Linux? I'd like to try it but my Mac is in storage :(
Keeps crashing for me, but that may be OS issues. Looks interesting enough though.
AWESOME! This was incredibly well done. A fun, well-polished mechanic. The art was cute and the story was well driven. Nice job!
By the way, if you're connecting to a server. (Pressing the eye button). Click it a few times. Sometimes it takes a second to request an updated server list.
If you're using Chrome and it says that then you can ignore it. Chrome has some overzealous malware blocking and, although it protects you, it also prevents you from downloading small/new files like jam games. I assure you that this will not harm your computer.
I'll try to switch hosting to my site as soon as I can anyway, I'm sure that can get annoying for people.
runvs That's probably because nobody was hosting. I'm assuming that there's nobody playing this game haha.
Sorry:< If you can't connect to anyone, you can actually try to connect to yourself. Even if that's not fun, you can at least see what the game is about. Just open up to instances of the same game and hit server on one and client on the other.
Great stuff. Stunning visuals and music. I picked up on the mechanic but I'm stuck on the 4th level. I'll definitely come back to this later!
Cool stuff! Took me a sec to figure out what exactly was going on but then it was pretty fun. Visuals were definitely a high point! Awesome!
Not bad. Considering there's not much in the way of gameplay,I think the elements are polished pretty well. The stars in the background, the thruster particles, and especially that warp effect!
Awesome! Game is not too hard to get, but it's super well polished and it's pretty fun, Nice job!
Uh... not bad. I think it's hard to make a really immersive and scary environment in 48 hours. I think you probably should have taken the last day to do a lot more polish. It was kind of dark, couldn't move around well. And when you can't see at all it's not scary but frustrating. You could have taken the time to improve the UI, or fix the mouse sensitivity. I'm not trying to be mean but making a point to say you submitted this in 48 hours just kind of shows that you didn't take any time to polish this game.
Wow. Incredible! This game is so incredibly well polished! The music is fantastic, the scenery is grand, the way everything breaks into little pieces. One of the best submissions I've seen so far!
I like it! I think it was even better due to the fact that I accidentally clicked the link without reading your instructions. Was the mechanics were really intuitive so I managed to pick it up quickly. But then it got so crazy with those enemies haha. Nice work!
Oh man I love that asthetic man. Super polished game. It's a bit difficult, as there are so many enemies and I can't really tell if I'm avoiding them or not. I feel like if the enemies were fewer and had more of a pattern, I'd be able to get the rhythm. Also the guns felt pretty useless. But that hoverboard flip, and the scanlines, and the grid, and the soundtrack. GOOD STUFF.
Oh man, those levels were tricky! This is the most satisfying game I've played so far. For a 48 hour jam, your levels and mechanics are nicely polished!
I had a fantastic time playing this. Once I was able to get him flipping around the room I was laughuing for a good 5 minutes. I didn't even pay atention to the time honestly. I wonder how this would play as a local multiplayer pvp game. 2 ninjas flopping about with swords on their heads? Nice work!
That's a good point, I had it in my head that tweets are case-sensitive!
Not bad for 12 hours, and it's definitely unconventional haha.
Good stuff! The asthetic is definitely the defining feature of the game. Those lights give it a very chilling atmosphere, as if I'm floating in a dust cloud in space. Love it! I couldn't find my controller but even with a key/mouse it was solid! I would definitely say that making it framerate independent and fixing up the UI would make it even better. Also noticed that there seems to be no way to exit the game from fullscreen without alt-tabbing (A thing I forget all the time). But all-in-all a solid showing, I'll definitely come back to play again when I can locate my controller!
Graphically excellent, and the mechanic is interesting! Although in the end there's really no challenge to it. There's no penalty for just throwing every roll, and in the end I'm assuming that it's purely based on luck. But a really nice project, and that's an impressive soundtrack to boot.
Pretty interesting take on the swapping mechanic! I'd suggest trying to package it in an executable if possible. I'm not always keen on running .bats from the internet haha :D
Interesting idea! I like the free-form style of being able to place blocks wherever. That being said, I wasn't really clear on what I was supposed to be defending at first, and then by the time I was able to get there I had pretty much lost. But nice work otherwise! Cool to see something done in Blender!
Intersting! But there wasn't much to it. Avoiding the enemies was pretty easy and then it just randomly becomes dark (night?). The light mechanic was super unique but it didn't feel any different than just shooting a laser at a single spot. I would definitely like to see more though!
This is impressive for a 48 hour jam. Like any sandbox-machine-building game it took a sec to get my bearings, but once I finally killed the guy I was quite pleased haha. The UI was a bit clunky, and the part palette was off on the left and made it hard to understand what it was.But I enjoyed it otherwise, will definitely be coming back!
Haha that was great. A very satisfying hare massacre simulation. The only thing I would recommend is locking the cursor, since I was playing in a window and kept clicking outside of the screen. For Unity that's setting the Cursor.lockState I think. Otherwise it was very enjoyable.
