Very nice! Point and click adventure is my favourite. I played it a few times.

plauk 2014-12-08 11:02

Really cool. The interface is intuitive... would like to see a longer game like this.

tinimations 2014-12-08 11:24

I like how the interaction works. Straight forward and easy. :)

ainokaisa 2014-12-08 13:25

Nice atmosphere.

Nice point and click adventure - good fun.

Great Job!

Hi there. Lots to examine, talk to... nothing to do. Couldn't get out of initial room. Like the piano music, bleak ;) Didn't want to read the walkthrough, presumably some way to get weapons kill annoying priest...

Another interesting story idea, I really like it when people try something like during game jams as it makes a nice change of pace from the arcade games. I think the control method with the mouse and the icons was excellent

Interesting game! The point and click mechanics were well done and I also liked the graphics and music. Good job overall!

Really stunning adventure. The time element added a lot to the game. Enjoyed playing a few times to improve ending.

madlee 2014-12-15 00:28

I liked it a lot! The mechanics were a little weird when applied to the last scene, but in general worked well. Good job!

interesting retro game feel. feels like I'm playing something on a throwback dos system. UI and text is pretty well done and with some touching up would feel really awesome

Fun point and click adventure. Good story, I'd like to see a longer version. Nicely done :)

I like the exploring and RPG-type elements in the beginning. Once I got used to the click-and-select type of interaction, it really worked for me. I'm not sure it translates as well in battle though. Great job overall!

I really enjoyed this game! Great graphics and mood, especially the music.

6downstudios 2014-12-15 02:58

I dig this! Ludum Dare games tend not to get any story, so thanks for taking the effort to construct a narrative. The text was simple buy very effective in conveying the mood (especially the Fighter's dialogue).
Also the battle mechanics were nicely balanced and fun, I quite like the shield spell which made for manual dodging.

6downstudios 2014-12-15 03:04

Just read the walkthrough to find the best ending. Awesome! Most empathy I've ever felt for little dudes with box-shaped heads :)
Seriously though, well done!

I like this game. The point & click interface was well done, although I'm not sure I figured out how to make much progress. Night seemed to come rather quickly.

khahem 2014-12-15 04:25

Good interface and good mood.

I didn't really expect to fight in a point and click but it was cool to have two different phases in the game.

woodenrabbit 2014-12-16 01:50

Really great game! I had such a fun time playing it I ended up playing it again! Well done!

rjhunter 2014-12-16 04:02

A complete point and click adventure seems like a big task for 48 hours. Well done!

It took me quite a few tries to uncover what happened to the fighter's brother. Quite satisfying when I did, though.

FYI, on my system, the text boxes are overlapping each other (see screenshot at https://www.dropbox.com/s/4hnldofx5rct7a1/Screenshot%202014-12-16%2014.59.10.png?dl=0 ) so I couldn't read all the intro text.

Superb entry.

played through twice, won both times, second time found brother :) nice entry!

This game is great! As a point and click fan, I enjoyed it plus the rgp/survival/combat touches.. and it has a lot of replay value.. Couldn't stop playing until I saw mother luna. Congrats!

An enjoyable little adventure on a single screen! I think the intensity of the setting clashes with the simplicity of the art style. The box-like characters looked pretty strange (I found it odd that everyone was bald), it's just hard to nail down what these people are or where they are. For example they use swords and crossbows instead of guns, but they still have lightbulbs? Overall the art works well for clearly indicating what things are and which things are clickable, which is really important for an adventure game. The art for the reaper was pretty sick, and the way the sun sets and transitions to night was done really well.

The UI for the game was very intuitive. I was able to get into the game and figure out several of the minor puzzles really quickly. There were a few times where I felt the controls for interaction didn't work, I would release the mouse button on an options and nothing would happen.

It was fun going through the different endings to see what happens, although I had to look up how to get to the brother. The fact that I could partially go behind the alter before "pulling" it really confused me. I enjoyed that the final battle was not simply just another narrative event, and the player had to actually take part in it. It wasn't actually that easy to click on the attack button enough times to survive (I almost didn't). The "final" ending with the brother showing up and randomly saving the entire human race was unexpected, and pretty unsatisfying.

The music for the adventure sequence seemed really good for setting the mode, but the music during the actual battle seemed like like JRPG battle music than something that would play over a fight for your life in a desperate world where humanity is on its last legs.

Overall, I think the game was just a little too simple to really give a solid adventure game experience, but the mood and the setting somewhat make up for that. Thanks for creating this game and letting everyone play it! Hope you can join us again for the next LD!

Interesting idea! Really like the time limitation with the sun slowly setting and the mystery about the lost brother, although I couldn't solve it. But I won the battle!

Very nice point & click mechanics.

kyatric 2014-12-22 06:38

Very nicely made, very nice scenario, very nice replay value.

I had to check the walkthrough to get to the "proper" endings, even though I had gone past the wall but did not get to pull the priest from the altar ^^

Good feel/mood overall.

Good job making this game in 48 hours !

foolmoron 2014-12-25 04:59

Smooth and fun controls despite being point and click. Really really like the battle music!
