Doomsday Bunker by ZYXer 2014-05-16T04:41:00
Nice, elegant and relaxing. The graphics looked good and worked well for the game. The music was perfect for setting. And I just had fun trying to keep everyone alive and grow my bunker.

Absolutely my favorite :D Especially the pig in glasses
Its impressive that you got so much done in so little time.
The game ended up being quite enjoyable, more so than I had thought from the initial images. But I really actually enjoyed it. The graphics look great and worked really well with it. I'm also really glad you put in the beginning and ending text/scenes because it help give the game closure.
Well done!
It was a hard game, at least for me. Well done though I enjoyed that it was difficult and I actually liked that there was so much stuff going on. Your graphics look good too and with all the stuff in ocean it made the game feel bustling and exciting.
The art was great and I enjoyed the way the player moves and attacks. I totally dug the aesthetics and setting of the game.
Good job mate!
Hahahaha I had a good laugh from this :D
Really well done I enjoyed it :D
The game was really fun! I wish had a buddy to play to play with me because I'm sure it would have been great. Its impressive how much you got done in 48 hours.
The exploring was fun and the graphics looked great. And I didn't feel any repetition in the room layouts, I'm assuming it was procedurally generated.
Well done!
What a neat game, I found myself losing track of myself as I played it. I felt a little dizzy sometimes when I switched between fish too quickly, but the game was really fun :)
Awesome game! The art and the writing is really fun :D Its a great game and it fits well with theme. I had a lot of fun playing it.
Thanks everyone for the feedback. I'm glad you guys could find some fun out of the game :)
Thanks again for the feedback everyone. I'll try to respond to some of the common things brought up in case it can actually help someone.
1. Sorry that the goal of the game (aka getting the mice to go to the left side of the screen) isn't intuitive! The next thing I would have worked on if time didn't run out was a visual clue that you want to move the mice to the left side. I know it makes the game rather confusing at first.
2. It is fairly difficult for the player to the influence the other mice! You actually are no more influential than any other mouse on the screen. I was very split during development on whether I thought this was a good or bad thing. I considered making the player have more influence than other mice or possibly a cool down button that could grab other mice's attention. Ultimately I left it out because I was running out of time due to the art and I was kinda enjoying the extra difficulty.
3. I'm sorry the controls are not so good. I admittedly rushed them, along with the player's collision with the rocks (right now you immediately stop moving if you touch a rock). I definitely want to improve them.
4. There is indeed sound, but its turned off by default. Click the music icon in the top right if you want to turn it on.
5. You can full screen the game if you hit the F key
Thanks everyone for the feedback I loving hear it :)
What a cool game mechanic for the bubble cannon. Its really fun, feels like a real life toy but in video game form.
I'm not even going to so say much. Just good stuff good stuff.
Good fun even though I suck at it. The way he moves feels really great.
You put in a ton of nice little details! I really got into it the more I played.
I really liked the music as well. Definitely a fun game. I played it on windows, but I bet it'd be a ton of fun as a mobile game. If I had an android tablet I would have tried it out.
You should put it on the android marketplace!
Really great game! I had such a fun time playing it I ended up playing it again! Well done!
I liked the snowball tuning. I didn't really expect it at first, but it was pretty fun trying dodge blue snowmen as I dashed for a blue spot on the map.
I was pretty terrible at it, but the game idea is really cool! I like the dynamic between Fido, Fiona and Fidel :)
I really liked it! It was a lot of fun and surprisingly difficult but in a good way. I liked the level designs. Good job!
The game looks rather great! You did a great job with the art. I wasn't able to last very long, but I liked it!
@jmborden I didn't actually. Just plain websockets. Part of why I went with the classic rpg tile movement is it meant that very little information needed to be sent (rather than sending the player's input 20 times a second). I plan on trying out WebRTC sometime, but I haven't quite bumped into the need yet.
:D Splendid!
It was very scary for me (but also very good). Nicely done :D
"Ugh i dun like it sorry it sucks" JOKES
Its good and you should come back to it in a few days if you really don't like it.
I think the genre is a nice breadth of fresh air for LD and the controls feel good. When I take damage I feel like its my own fault. And of course the music is aaaammaazzing.
Super sweet I dig the look.
@jasonalighieri I actually used the Unity Movement AI library found here https://github.com/antonpantev/unity-movement-ai
The AI logic in that is much simpler than a full blown nav mesh but I think it worked out well.
Just :D
I like the levels and the main mechanic. Nice game!
Very cool. I really liked the way the zombies disintegrated into green cubes.
Nice game. I think it would be lots of fun if you continued it. I like the attacks/animations you have so far.
