I really loved how the track looked. Overall, however, I have no idea what part of that was a game. I tried to make music with the sound effects and the accompanying light show was satisfying.

tughan 2015-04-21 02:54

There is a problem with the boxes which pass the player not dealing damage, I'm working on it right now. Normally, you wouldn't like the boxes get past you and kill them before.

Also I gotta implement point system but I had to submit before the jam ended :) Updates will come.

Thanks for trying man, I really appreciate.

karai17 2015-04-21 08:01

A good first attempt! I couldn't really figure out how to play even after reading the description. I did find the game to be pretty though, I found the character to be quite amusing.

tughan 2015-04-21 08:04

Thanks! I guess I have to update the description better :)

boateye 2015-04-21 23:59

I like the look of the game. Just felt like a shooter though. the weapons didn't feel to distinct. i was able to just spam brain power and the refill button ad do very well

fenix 2015-04-22 00:02

The game looks really nice. It's worth working on. At the beginning I thought that I should attack comming objects with corresponding "weapon". And I found it funny, that reloading is also shooting. :D
And BTW, there are moments, when you get ammo below 0. ^^

tughan 2015-04-22 00:22

Yeah the original idea was that (corresponding weapon) but the time limit got me take a "different" approach :) Thanks both for trying it out!

benjamin-soule 2015-04-22 08:27

I like the different specific shots and the fact that refill ammo or life was a shot too. you have your unconventional weapon points there I guess :) I was also a bit surprised the first time I fall off the track... :D

volkoivan 2015-04-22 08:53

Why the game is so laggy? It's really hard to play even with the lower end PC version, considering that I have pretty okay PC.
Also the ammo isn't really distinct.
And I think you need to turn off the possibility to fall of the edge.
But anyway it's a good idea!

tughan 2015-04-22 09:34

@volkoivan Yeah you're right. It's a problem I'm yet to solve. After around 3-4 resets the game starts to lag. So it's better if you close and restart the exe at that point.

The fall is intentional :) you got to be careful when defending.

Thank you and also thanks Benjamin a lot for your comments!

shadowstryker 2015-04-23 01:51

My only complaint is that my ammo was going negative, and for some reason hitting reload shot green projectiles as well as reloading. Looks very nice, however.

tughan 2015-04-23 02:06

Thanks a lot for your comment, SetArray. Going negative was intentional which gave one last chance strategically, you can use it but you absolutely have to reload afterwards cause your in below zero. But it seems like people didn't think the same :)

I guess I'll just fix it when I upload a bugfix (about game lagging after a few resets)

victor-rene 2015-04-23 14:29

Max points for humor, and falling out of the track... But the gameplay, why not infinite ammo? The track looks good too overall.

tughan 2015-04-23 14:33

Well I thought about infinite ammo too (the first version had that in fact) but i wanted that one more challenge added :)

But I may upload a post-jam infinite ammo version if you'd really like :)

Thanks a lot for your comment!

lebrokholic 2015-04-23 14:37

Personally, I think that the game is awesome. One more interesting thing that you've divided the Windows version into 2 different versions. I strongly believe that it is not the best method and you just can make a settings window where the user can decide what to choose.

tughan 2015-04-23 14:39

Thanks a lot lebrokholic. Yeah I'm not happy with that either. I'm planning a post-jam version with proper menus&ui and better features.

hadesfury 2015-04-23 14:55

Interesting idea. I agree with skylerWithAnE that you could probably turn it into a fun musical game. Good job on a first jam, anyway.

2bit 2015-04-24 01:32

Cool game. I like the idea for the weapons and they look nice too.

onlyslightly 2015-04-25 01:06

Really cool and surreal atmosphere. I loved the neon lights and colors in the dark world. And the strangely shaped protagonist

arcturusdeluxe 2015-04-25 14:47

I like the reflective effects and the variety of ammo types. Gameplay is alright, though I feel like its a bit shallow. Maybe it could use some more interesting enemy types or something? Pretty good game overall though!

tughan 2015-04-25 14:56

You're right Arc, if I continue working on this project more seriously, this is what I'll be focusing first. Thank you and all others for your nice comments.

sytech 2015-04-25 15:18

Really nice look! It took a while to learn what to use when, but after a while it became really addictive.
Good job!

orangespikygames 2015-04-26 10:23

Looks nice, and the sound effects were pretty good too. The gameplay was pretty fun, good job!

null-dies 2015-04-26 19:59

Great game, I knew I'd like it before playing it because our game also has 4 kinds of projectiles, but I think your attacks are more balanced :)
And I also like the simple glowing graphics, they give the game a nice feel :)
I just felt like the difficulty needs to be adjusted a bit, it started too hard for a beginner then it gets even harder quickly.

tughan 2015-04-26 20:43

Thanks a lot :) I can't deny the fact that I have an obsession with difficulty :) On the other hand the whole game lasts only around 5 minutes if you can do it in one go.

java-the-hutt 2015-04-28 01:10

I feel like it would be so much cool with some music. It was also difficult to understand what to do. It was really pleasant to look at.

tyruspeace 2015-04-30 02:23

The game moves so quickly that it's pretty hard to actually strategize when to use the different weapons. I like the idea, and it sounds like there's a good balance between them possible, but this proved super tough!

I felt pretty smart the few times I actually managed to use the muscle shot correctly, though. This kept me coming back for a while despite the difficulty!

tughan 2015-04-30 07:18

Thanks a lot for your comments both! I'll tone down the difficulty for post-jam version where you'll have more than one level, so it will get progressively harder as you get the hang of it.

And of course will add some music.

pi_pi3 2015-05-01 12:30

This is too hard for me. Great gfx though. With some better controls and difficulty scaling it'd be much better. Also, enemies should have less health.

mantlair 2015-05-01 14:25

Effects are cool. Havent spent a long time on game but track looks also cool. Maybe it can be better with a randomized map mode. And why did you let people fall from edges its sad B(. (Ingilizce yazarken fark ettim türk olduğunu. Twitterdan followladım. Bu tip olaylarla uğraşan türklerin kurduğu grup tarzı bir yer var mıdır? Varsa bi link falan atar mısın?)

tughan 2015-05-01 15:07

Thanks for comments people!

The difficulty gets reduced dramatically once you get to utilize muscle power. Once you do that, it will get real easier.

As such, you should also utilize heart which will make you able to "tank" incoming damage unless it's the "flashing double muscle" enemy (which deals 90 damage). Those guys are scary.

parzivalthevirtual 2015-05-11 14:26

Really digging the retro feel. Great job!
