Woo 6 seconds left. It's pretty but a little simple.
That was okay! Couldn't beat the boss.
Very nice! Fantastic graphics and characters and good music make this a lot of fun to play. Made it to the end with some practice.
Interesting approach on the theme, nice story and humor. A bit short and simple as a game, but charming and well done in such a short time!
29 points! I had fun! Great music and fonts. I'd add triangles if I were you.
Haha this is hilarious. I want my friends to play this.
That said I have a couple suggestions. I think it would be a lot less frustrating/confusing if the controls were 1,2,3 instead of z,x,c. The latter also might be a problem with non-qwerty keyboard layouts? Second, it took me forever to realize that multi-key enemies coming from the left have their keys in right-to-left order. This would be solved if you would highlight the first key to be typed. Finally, I think it would be nice to see your current score.
My high score was 26. I probably suck at this.
Played until the end, the last level was HARD! The puzzle difficulty is perfect, that last jump though.. Liked the original combination of reversi with a platformer. The theme reminded me of Supaplex, which is good. Graphics are decent, except for the player character which I didn't like. I encountered a couple of bugs like respawning inside of walls and disappearing ladders. But overall definitely enjoyable!
@NuSan: The kids are there mostly for flavor now. An unimplemented feature is that they would collect stuff from the beach, like seashells and starfish, which you could use to decorate and reinforce your castle.
Nice! What's a good time? I finished in 56 secs.
One thing that was weird is that you can jump up straight walls. I thought you had to jump from wall to wall, but up a single wall turned out to work too. Other than that, good job!
I have no idea what to do other than jumping around and collecting shiny things. What do the white objects than want dots and money do? No idea. What does X even do? No idea. I tried it everywhere but nothing happened. Would score higher if the controls and goals were communicated more clearly.
Yay I won! That was fun to play and provided a decent challenge. I absolutely love how the level layout changes where it's dark, very nice.
I think I died 5 times in the last big room. First time I died I was transported all the way back to the start, so I had to walk a long way through an empty level. I think that's not supposed to happen? The entries and side corridors of the boss room also glitched a lot for me, and after a while the shield stayed on indefinitely. Don't know why/
Suggestions for future improvement: Maybe only regenerate HP after x seconds out of combat? Or make enemies actively chase you? Right now it's to easy to hide and recover full strength. Also, the light resource recovers very quickly; I never ran out, so so maybe reduce the gain rate. Finally, I couldn't figure out how to trigger the offensive spell mentioned in the readme.
All in all very nice, would recommend.
Oh forgot to mention the art style. I think it's great! Could have been a commercial game in the 90s, and that's not meant as a dig.
Pretty tricky! Couldn't get past the first pool of water. Nice visual style. I agree with the others that the spikes were a little hard to see.
I won! Fun little game, cute graphics. I enjoyed trying to trap the zombies/bad guys. The ability to pull boxes sounded like an interesting deviation from typical Sokoban clones, but I ended up forgetting about it and never using it since I didn't need it. I guess the puzzle difficulty, as in, how to move the boxes to get through, is a bit low. Would have liked to try multiplayer, but I don't have any gamepads.
