LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Hyperspace by dekart 2015-12-14T05:48:00

Great job incorporating the theme into the story.

The Growing Sword - Baknik - Ludum Dare 34 by Baknik 2015-12-14T05:40:00

I found that the resulting mechanics made it a bit clunky. The sword swinging action looks like it took some time to complete, but I didn't think it added much to the game.

Deceit by xWarZonex 2015-12-14T06:00:00

Good use of lighting and atmosphere. Didn't really see the theme though. Also, switching between mouse and keyboard to perform actions is not the best UI choice.

Inner Circle by ruscoe 2015-12-14T06:04:00

I like the puzzle theme, however the "cooldown" is a bit too fast. I would have likely added some kind of animation for the rotation, and maybe played around with the acceleration of the spin. The switch is a bit too abrupt to get a true sense of "spin".

Always A Bigger Fish by rantt 2015-12-14T05:23:00

Pretty good Osmos clone! Well done!

The beanstalk (and maybe Jack) by Vil 2015-12-14T06:16:00

That's a pretty good mechanic. Too back you couldn't finish it. Good luck next time.

Birds of Borg by emmes 2015-12-14T06:10:00

Very creative.

Catch the White Rabbit! by danieldsj 2015-12-14T14:45:00

Thanks for all of the positive and constructive feedback everyone!

keepee: If I had more time, I would've fixed the double jump problem.

esayitch: I agree that given more time, I would've tweaked with the physics a bit more to get a better "shrink up" feel for jumps.

Swield by laFunk 2015-12-14T14:53:00

This game was very well put together! This is the best game I've seen so far! Good job!

Rescue Longboat by Astusvis 2015-12-14T06:19:00

I didn't think of apex turning to leverage the theme. I think you did a good job, but I didn't see many hazards that could end the game.

Growing Weed by MorganLeFay 2015-12-14T15:00:00

Very nice strategy game. You had me watch the prices hit 140s. It would have been nice ot have a storage limit.

LD35 — Shapeshift

PERMUTATE by TravisChen 2016-04-19T01:29:00

This is very original. I think it's the most innovative game I've seen so far. The mechanics are very interesting, but difficult to learn. Goal and consequences are not all that clear. Great job!

Happy Shape Shifter by domrein 2016-04-29T01:44:00

I like the explosion animations and the screen shake. I could only up and left controls. Good effort!

Subject 96 by wumpus 2016-04-26T03:55:00

This is a great little game. I couldn't really go anywhere because of the stage design, but it was well though out. It reminded me of my grow/shrink mechanic from LD34. Good work.

Wallshift by Esenti 2016-05-08T17:32:00

Pretty impressive for 2 hours of work. Good game.

Photagogue by ChuiGum 2016-04-26T03:30:00

I am getting a megaman and river city ransom feel from this game. I didn't really see the theme. Good humor.

Corvid by Just Tom 2016-04-26T03:27:00

The mechanics for this games feels a lot like my own submission. The graphics and story seems a bit more cohesive. Great mood.

Galaxy Shifter by Willsr71 2016-04-29T01:53:00

I thought I was doing well by killing all of the circles, but then all of a sudden, I died. I think the game was very safe and didn't really use the theme, but this is a great first-time LD submission. Keep it up!

Battle of Britain 2 by SuperChihuahua 2016-04-19T00:57:00

The game started with me zoomed in too far, and when zooming away, I started seeing the ships. The controls were not intuitive and the the goal was not really apparent. I was impressed with the 3d graphics and flying animation, so I gave points for innovation and graphics.

motion: a by sepharoth213 2016-04-26T03:46:00

Very different game. Great original score.

Altered Beard by gillenew 2016-04-19T01:36:00

Music and visuals are good.

Song of death by scnoobi 2016-05-08T17:35:00

I appreciate the tutorial. The game was a bit short though. Good effort.

Theseus by TheMeorch 2016-04-29T20:06:00

This is a fantastic game! In all honestly, this is the best game I've played so far. Simple mechanics, great level design and progression. The only think lacking is the graphics, but the game more than makes up for it. Perfect scores on 5/7 categories.

Theseus by TheMeorch 2016-04-29T20:35:00

What did you use to develop this? The source seems like it is machine generate.

Shadow of the Red Hand by andyman404 2016-04-29T02:01:00

Love the artwork, very stylized. The theme wasn't really part of the game play, but you sold me on the art. Also the hand-hearts were genius. Awesome work!

Hide and Squeak by MrDave 2016-04-29T02:09:00

I was thinking of making a game similar to this initially. Great effort. Great sounds.

SuperFishAl by divegato 2016-04-19T01:02:00

The art and music were very good. The theme was integrated into the mechanics, but the controls were not very well balanced which negatively affected the fun factor. I am surprised at how much art and stage design was put into this. Very nice.

Key Quest by SigmanZero 2016-04-26T03:12:00

Not sure I see the theme, but overall, a great game.

HappyNest by Black Horn Studios 2016-04-19T01:20:00

Excellent artwork and music. The game mechanic is very simple and the difficulty increases pretty linearly. I am not sure how you can lose a game though.

Runeshift by demogorgon 2016-04-19T01:32:00

I am a bit lost. Maybe have some tutorial fights with fewer runes? I am not sure what I am doing here.

Goddamn Server by Nordic Ninja 2016-04-29T01:39:00

The story is hilarious. I liked some of the characters faces, but other graphics were lacking. Good effort.

I am Ned and I am a Hippo by Jun & Pate 2016-04-29T02:06:00

I think "Ned is becoming a hippo" would've been closer to the theme. :D Very creative none the less.

Shapeman by danieldsj 2016-04-19T01:41:00

RE: Controls
Instead of putting a rotate/thrust type of control we went with cardinal directions. It gave it more of an arcade feel and less of a driving feel.

RE: Sounds.
All of the audio is original and was added at the last hour. Too bad about the bugs, we may fix them in the future. This is our first submission as a group. Thanks for the feedback.

RE: UI bugs

Added a warning about the audio bug in the description.

Shapeman by danieldsj 2016-04-29T02:16:00

Terryg: There are 6 levels. It gets really difficult after the first 3 tutorial stages.

If anyone is up for a challenge, type "game.state.start('stage6');" in the developer console of your browser to go to the last level.

Shapeman by danieldsj 2016-05-03T11:48:00

TheMeorch: Thanks for the tip about hitting the space bar, or some other key. Didn't think about the hand positions.

The Professional Shapeshifter by DivineOmega 2016-04-26T03:37:00

Innovative, and funny, but I generally do not like job interviews. :/ Very creative submission.

Word Warrior by TheBreakfast 2016-04-26T03:08:00

Pretty good game. I like the graphics and the battle mechanic. Good work!

Catshift by ragnta 2016-04-26T03:17:00

For some reason my keys would not move the cat. All I could do was jump. I love the graphics.

A Mazeshift Title by antglynn 2016-04-26T03:50:00

This reminds me of the game cogs. Good call on theme placement.

Quest for Humanity by pixlark 2016-04-19T01:14:00

Not a very big fan of text adventures genre. There were funny references, but not enough to keep me interested.

Space Pole And Monkey by kronosfere 2016-04-29T01:48:00

Very innovative concept, but ultimately very difficult to control. Nice humor, but the game needed a bit more balancing.

Light Shifter Temple by SengiG 2016-04-19T01:25:00

I love the atmosphere. The mechanics are cool. Great submission!

luvShape by luvShape 2016-04-19T01:07:00

Great game! Really abstract.

Light My Darkness by RanikoGames 2016-04-26T03:22:00

I couldn't really do anything besides open the first door. Didn't see much of the theme. I really like the mood.
