Instructions are needed, I had no idea what i was doing, the aim of the aim or what was going on.

I would have to agree with jamesc554544, it certainly needs some instructions (even in the comments area). I managed to work out how to play it, after randomly clicking for a while :)

A neat idea for a game - well done.

You should really include a tutorial, I have no Idea how to play!

Unclarified goals... D:

I am a bit lost. Maybe have some tutorial fights with fewer runes? I am not sure what I am doing here.

Once I realized that the enemy's runes were at the top, I figured out how to play. This would be a fun card game. :) Good Job

This would make a good card game for sure! I like the graphics. The spinning animations are a nice little touch of polish, and I like that the runes are actually runes. Maybe to help tell them apart at a glance, each could be on a coloured background. The abilities of the runes make for some nice gameplay depth, they seem well thought out and pretty well-balanced for such a short development period. One recommendation to make the game fit the theme better (something I didn't see below) might be to make it so that you could change the terrain under yourself or the other player with runes. This could maybe change their runes, or affect particular ones. Or, you could have 'classes' based on a player creature (human, elf, etc.) that each have different rune libraries. You could transform to better combat your foe based on the terrain they were on maybe (I know that might be a bad recommendation but I always like when people leave me recommendations so I try to do the same for others). Overall a very polished and thoughtfully-designed game I had a lot of fun playing. Thanks for your submission! I hope you had fun making it :)

Pretty good! I have to agree with the others though. It was a little confusing at first. Maybe the player & enemy runes could be swapped & given different colors?

ou-gda 2016-04-19 05:31

Although this could be a really neat game, I have no idea what I am doing when I start.

saladon 2016-04-19 07:38

Hard to get into as there isn't much instruction, but it is innovative. Good job.

headmade 2016-04-19 07:55

I can confirm what the others said: instructions needed.

brainslugs83 2016-04-19 09:16

It was intuitive to me that the enemy's runes were at the top (next to him), and the goal must be to kill him (like MTG or something -- btw, don't swap the order, that's crazy.) -- but... beyond that, I still have no clue man -- I don't know what the turn structure is or how to cause damage -- Even reading the runes ins't that helpful, every now and then the other guy just shoots me without using any runes (it seems), and none of my runes can directly cause damage, they all just do stuff to other runes. -- It looks like it could be fun, but maybe use cards with the runes on them that just say what they are, etc. (So that you don't have to click each one.)

caporaltito 2016-04-19 10:27

It's cool but you have to play a lot before understanding what to do with your runes

mossi 2016-04-19 14:31

Seems like a fun idea, but as the other few people have mentioned, its very difficult when u dont know what to do and how to do it.

mystical 2016-04-19 20:15

Overall, the idea is really cool. One way to improve could be to have different colored runes or different graphics for each type.(Hard to see which is which) Also, a tutorial is always nice.

felladrin 2016-04-24 20:51

Good game concept. And as others have said, it would be nice to have game instructions. As you can't change it now, you could put instructions on the description of the game, in this page.

crefossus 2016-04-27 08:11

I thought it was pretty straight forward - you have skills and health and so does your enemy. Just clicking on things tells you what they do so it's not that hard to puzzle out.

It seems that you are fairly likely to both end up with full health after playing a few rounds. I'll come back and play some more when I have time and rate it.

One thing is that I'm constantly reading the cards/runes. Maybe the graphics should correspond a little better with what they do somehow? I suppose after you play a long time that you'll memorize it.
