Very unforgiving and quite hard game. But it got it's charm, kinda like it.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD31 → Razor Dodgor ( Razer Dodger)

Very unforgiving and quite hard game. But it got it's charm, kinda like it.
Youve included this as a windows rar, though it looks like it is an html game, Just a heads up, you will definately get alot more hits, if you host it via dropbox or something, and allow your game to be played embedded
Why, world? Why? is what I thought when I played this game. It's a good, basic design really benefitting from the 'less is more' idea. I personally didn't like the razor design, I know that most of us aren't artists (Hell, I'm as far from one as you'll see) but it could've benefitted from something a little different, maybe even something a little more abstract. Other than that, nice little game.
I couldn't run it; FireFox and Chrome tell me that they disable some things when using the file:/// protocol and then won't run it (IE just doesn't do anything).
Any way you could put it somewhere that would serve it over HTTP?
Quite liked how it controls. As people before me have mentioned; should look in to hosting this on dropbox or somewhere else and embed it on the site.
I got to 20s, the my head was chopped off and I bled to death. This game is brutal!
I think if there was more variation for the blades or a difficult scaling it would have kept me entertained for longer.
Reminds me of super meat boy, great work!
As this is an HTML game you can upload it to a site somewhere. There's a list of sites that'll host your games for you in the FAQ: http://ludumdare.com/compo/faq/
I liked the design, a bit of a challenge but nice overall! :)
I'm unable to run the game :( When I try opening the HTML file, it opens a new tab in Google Chrome, and a popup says "Exported games won't work until you upload them (When running on the file:/// protocol, browsers block many features from working for security reasons)"
I have Windows 7, Google Chrome, and Mircosoft Security Essentials
I cant figure out how to run it.
@TriSquare double click the file name Index.
Good, but a pretty basic game.
Brutal game, but good fun! As others have said, look in to hosting it maybe.
Pretty hard but I think the highest I got was like 47 or something? One thing that threw me off a bit was that the background was a grid and I was a square, so I kept using the background as reference for the razor locations, however the character is actually a bit larger than the grid squares, so I often collided on the edge when I was not expecting to. I liked the visuals on the razors for how they faded out after bouncing. Careful when using default text in html5 because it looks very different in style from the rest of your art. I know other people are saying they wish it was embedded but I don't like the embedded games on the entry page so I don't mind :) However, it would be nice to have it hosted someplace to avoid the browser issue. Nice job!
Couldn't get it to run :( Windows 7, 32-bit.
Very simple but fun. Gets a little boring later on though.
Took me a bit to figure out why it wouldn't work. Hard games are fun games I always say.
Nice but, why embedded on a web site directly ? Or something like this
Timer doesn't stop immediately when you die. Gives you an extra second or two. It has a lot of potential to be fun. Tweak it!
Even though it's labelled "Windows" and is a RAR format archive, it works fine on Mac OS X in Google Chrome *through a web server*.
shotty456, seriously, repack as a ZIP and upload it to (say) itch.io -- it'll let everyone play it easily.
Once you've uploaded it somewhere like that, edit your entry so that instead of a MediaFire link called "Windows", have an itch.io link called "Web".
Everyone wins!
Animations were nice
Quite hard game but really fun to play ! Well done
Hey good job. At first I thought there was no way to predict the razors but then I developed some techniques that got me to 30 seconds.
fun game but the lag is Brutal!@
Very inoteresting game, kinda sad for the little seal (I guess) but very fun. Nice one.
It's not bad really, but unforgiving and slightly lacking in variety. Needs at least some kind of second-step to keep it interesting.
I do like the movement of the character, it moves well.
Cool game! Got hard to play quickly, but I still enjoyed it for what it was. I could see it as a mobile game.
Fun - would have loved a few extra SFX tho :)
Nice idea but it is very unfair to the players. Often when I died I felt like there was nothing I could do.. I like the central feeling to the game but this needed a lot more thought before you started building it.
