Definitely wish I had checked the instructions before trying but hey that's on me :)
Cool, original idea. Seems like you had an ambitious design at the start of the jam, and there's a lot of stuff going on there! The difficulty menu is a great example of the different stuff going on.
However I did find the moment to moment gameplay a little frustrating. Jumping just isn't satisfying and at times the sheer amount of stuff going on could be overwhelming.

Again, cool concept and there were a lot of interesting systems but maybe more time could have been spent on the fine details of the player experience.

Wow, great use of theme! Pretty cool idea even if the gameplay was nothing new. I also thought the collision detection was a bit finnicky, maybe if the character was wider it wouldn't seem that way?
Great execution though, it all looked and felt slick.

The magnifying glass is a great idea but I often found it got in the way of finding my way! Pretty nice idea and presentation but would've liked more opportunities for skill instead of just bashing my way through. Nice effort though!

Wow, man! Really great stuff, I am impressed by your creativity. The concept seemed a little thin at first but you really did a great job putting a game together. The graphics and sound work really well and the gameplay is super fun while it lasts. I think if you add one or two things you could really develop this further.

Wow, just incredible graphics presentation!! It's obvious where you spent your time over the jam and it really pays off. The lighting and the shaders especially are really helpful in selling the mood of the game. Combat felt tacked on and the puzzles were mostly trial and error but mannn those graphics!!

Pretty nice stuff. Graphics are especially gorgeous! As others have said I would have appreciated some kind of game system intro. Even just a few sentences on the web page where the game is would go a long way.
Overall I felt the game could be quite tedious. This was probably because of my lack of understanding of the game rules but there were many long stretches where I wasn't doing anything but admiring the nice music.
Heheh.. very good effort for a very ambitious game though!

Could have used a lot more testing. Had a lot of trouble with controls and collision detection. I like the gameplay mechanic but maybe birds flapping would have made more sense than planes?

Really cool game! Seems like you may have gone overboard with the effects as the shadows and explosions often got in the way of my visibility. But the polish is super appreciated, especially for a jam game!
Could be really cool to develop this further with more attack options, enemy types, etc.

Nice presentation for a pretty familiar game concept. Some nice twists but I found myself missing the predictability of Frogger when I had to wait long periods of time just to get on one platform. Also lots of dead end situations. But still nice effort and the post jam version looks better already. Encouraging!

Good framework for the idea here, it's obvious that you put a lot into making this competitive. However as a player I often felt frustrated by the controls and the lack of options. Maybe I didn't get any powerups but the reason people love double-jumps and stuff is that they give you a chance to correct a mistake. Overall this game was really punishing. Hey guys! Really great to get so much good feedback on this thing. I worked on it a little bit more the past couple days, fixing a couple bugs (like that pesky restart one) and smoothing out the difficulty curve a little bit. Still really difficult as it's that kind of game!! If I'm going to be honest, I don't think I've even seen the last two enemy types... the game keeps ramping difficulty until 3 minutes or so. From there it is endless but I would be surprised if anyone can survive for long at that point!

And yes I agree on the explanations. I think it's kind of fun to discover mechanics sometimes but objectives and moves could have been a lot clearer!
The 'dodge counter' move where you dodge while facing an attacking enemy really changes the game and makes large groups much more manageable. I think it adds a lot to the game but it was definitely a last minute addition that I didn't get time to do UI for. Something to keep in mind if I develop it further. Cheers!!

Really nice effort. Lots of features and options in the game. The use of cover and ability to line up shots was quite nice. The difficulty curve was very steep, though. It went from being easy and enjoyable to almost impossible very quickly for me. Nice work though! Would be nice to move around a larger arena, that way you have an escape when you get... swarmed!

Really nice job! It was maybe not an original concept but the execution was really nice. One thing I had a problem with was that because everything was so small, it was hard to understand the collision for my bullets. Perhaps you could be more generous and give me a bigger gun :)
